Maybe they don't plan on releasing on steam, who knows, but that would be super rare: pretty much all devs release there either after they finish the game or in early access.

Very true, its because that old mod overrides the script.rpy which is the whole game. As I noted previously, dev seems on a mission to make his life difficult and has the entirety of the game (paths, dialogue and all) in that 1 file meaning that in order for someone to do a mod that way theyd have to keep on top of the updates.

The method I'm using does touch that file, it reads it and dynamically adjusts. It's a bit more processing but universal so game wont break, and as stipulated should work unless dev changes all variable names.

Guess mods dont wanna link it idk. By rights it should sorta replace the other mod cause that one is only useful if you wanna play whatever version that built for lol

Your mod is more promising and flexible in this regard.
Do you plan to improve your mod? Or at least support it in case something changes globally in the game and the mod stops working correctly?
