QSP - Girl Life [v0.9.4.1] [community project]

One of my favorite games... yet so damn flawed:

First the Pros:

• Amazing - insane - unequaled amount of content in a sandbox.
• Lots of content creators working together to make the game better.
• Hot real porn gifs and vids.
• So much potential.

Cons:

• You have to read a wiki to find 9/10ths of the content. Leaving a game to find out how to play the game means the game is VERY flawed. Breadcrumb leading to quests and new triggers shouldn't be missing in a game with so many devs. They could ask for 1-2 people to go over all of the content and make it flow. Then this game would be truly epic.
• Real porn means you see porn stars you know, hollywood actors you know, people look different in different scenes. If this game could get an artist or 3d modeling team it would probably catapult to the tip top and pull in an income via patreon.
• Some of the writing is great. Some is not so much. Even the mediocre writing is better than a lot of the competition.

I played the
Girl Life [v0.8.5.1] version

Great concept, great story, great game, but I believe this game has the potential to tell an interesting story and still be a life sim but so far falls flat. I wish the real porn was taken out of the game, or at least there was a version without it. It is great with just the text, and I am morally against the concept of real porn. I personally believe that real porn should be taken out completely, but I believe that I can't stop people. I made a version where I cleaned the real porn out of the game other than the outfits. It would be nice if there also was a version with pixel art for the outfits. I also believe that the story should be more fleshed out. There is also a great amount of content. I believe that the story could be fleshed out by adding in more reasons for why things happen, adding in more dialogue that describes your thoughts and having mental changes, I also believe there should be an option to go through a route where you remain pure(or fleshing this out more).

The Sandbox element is great. The video and picture feel raw and realistic. Really adventurous as well. Only thing I think can really be improved is some of the dialogue and maybe a different engine. This QSP engine looks kinda messy as compared to Ren'Py or Unity. All in all, I love this game soo much. I wish there exist more games like this!

This one is really fuckin good. Lots of content, only some really minor bugs, everything looks and works great, Good variety of content. Really impressively well made for a fuck game. As someone from poland i also can relate to a lot of the slavic cringe in this game. Cant recommend this one enough.

It's an interesting game. It even took me some time to figure it out probably. I personally think if you just look for a game to beat of to you should not play it. But if you have some time I guarantee you will be down for a hell of a ride

My first qsp game. Took a little getting used to. Love the stories and the mods. Well worth the download. You will come back just waiting for an update. This was my first text based game. Who knew i loved stories so much. lol

A large world with a huge amount of things to do and find. The quality isn't perfect here and there but the amount of kinky things has build up to quite a lot over several years of development. They use real images and there are images for every naughty thing you do. Overall great if you do not mind to play woman.

Not really a game, more of a simulation of a girl's daily life. A mix between Sims and an rpg. You've got so many stats, both visible and hidden, working behind the scenes, that it puts even Daggerfall to shame! A true hardcore simulation, which you can fine tune to suit your needs.
Like in a simulator or open world rpg there isn't much of a story. Not even an overarching quest if you choose the (non-magical) schoolgirl start, where you just live your life. You go to school, work, shopping, go to dates and so on. In general you can do whatever you want, when you want it. There is just so many things to do and explore. However after a time the game does get repetitive. And sadly there is too much focus on getting fucked by whatever guy comes across. Not enough girls to pursue! Luckily most encounters can be avoided, provided your stats are high enough or by making the right choice.

The good:
-open world with a lot of options, customizations and settings allows to suit your game to your preferences

The bad:
-after you have tried all the options, there is not much to do and the game becomes a grind
-a ton of guys, just a few girls to have fun with
-unfinished quests, things leading nowhere

Good/bad:
-game utilizes real porn pictures and videos
-leans towards being a slut

Pretty much the pentacle of sandbox porn games. There's a smorgasbord of content that's spread out through the environment. The customization options are through the roof. There is really only one negative to this game, Once you've played it for hundreds of hours you find a whole bunch of short cuts that make the game really easy.
The game is constantly being update, but there will probably never be an ending. Not because the game will be unfinished, but because it's not about getting an ending, it's about living the life. I do think that reaching a milestone and getting a scene that implies your character has reached the point where their would get an ending would be cool (finishing school without losing your social group due to being a whore, becoming famous as a porn star, sold your body X amount of times, ect).

In conclusion, anybody that likes sandbox porn games should at least give this game the old collage try and on a first time playthrough, don't use the cheat menu so you can get to know all the different systems this game has to offer.

As much as I like this game, it's hard to give it a good score.

Synopsis

If I had to compare this game with any-other it would be Harvest Moon. Just as Harvest Moon is about the day to day joys of running a farm, Girl Life is about the day to day running a girl.

Gameplay
When I wrote earlier that this game is about day to day life of I girl I meant it, it has you doing everything for her short of wiping her ass. Brushing her teeth? check. Taking a piss? check. picking what makeup to wear and brushing her hair? check.

This is without a doubt the most in depth sim I have encountered on this site, for good and bad. While I had a blast playing through this game I could only do it for short bursts of gameplay (around two to three in game days per session) as the chores of maintaining your girl are just that chores. However the sheer number of options to build your character are second to none. You could be the local sporting ace, the popular girl or the town bike amongst many more options and combinations.

Story

I have only really gotten into one (of many options) to playthrough in the story: Schoolgirl which sees you play the day to day struggles of a school girl.

I would definitely recommend this game to anyone with the understanding that it can be a bit of a drag at times, but if you can make it through that drag you are rewarded with one of the most rewarding and customizable games I've ever encountered on this site.

Amazing, with a lot of erotic potential. Even if it's a work in progress, the coder team is active and a lot of stuff is still done for hours of gameplay!! AGo ahead with this project, I'm eager to see the next version!!!

Great game with an interesting story and high replay value.

Now that we are done with the short review, lets get into the details. This game is very unique and that is why it is very hard to give an objective evaluation like I do for other games. So, bear with me while we go through with this.

Before we do get into the actual pros and cons, I will point out why the game is unique, and does it add to it's brilliance, or does it restrict it's growth, I will leave it to individual opinion.

1. Biggest wardrobe of any game, not just different clothes, but each outfit comes with a level of parameters which illicit different responses from the world around the character. (Definitely a pro in my opinion, so <+1>)
2. Branching storylines. The game is a sandbox in the truest of forms. However it is a known fact that branching out leads to reduced content. It is not the case with this game because the sheer amount of content already present. But people who are interested in small niches might feel left out.
On the other hand the good thing is that the game is constantly being updated and there is already enough content to keep you busy for days.
3. QSP. One of the reasons why it is hard to evaluate this game is because there is no objective comparison in this genre. this game is leagues ahead of any other QSP game.
4. Mods and self edits. In any other game, you have to choose between the choices the game has given you. Girl life and QSP, together give you the opportunity to replace anything according to your choices. You can replace the default pictures with your own pictures if you want and if that is your thing. It makes tinkering with it interesting. You don't need to pull out notepad and stuff to do that, just replace the pictures/videos you want with your choices and have fun. <+1>

The above reasons are unique to QSP and girl life. Now we move on to Pros and Cons

The things I liked:

1. The story. You will end up remembering the story and characters and you will feel the emotions boiling inside you and your boss will knock your desk asking you to focus on your work. Yep, it sticks in your brain. <+1>
2. The realistic choices, no perfect characters, just people doing their own thing. Wear what you want, eat what you want, you don't even have to see a single nude pic if you don't want to. <+1>
3. The kinks are just right and not overdone to the point of nonsense. <+1>
4. Taboo stuff has been made into addon mods - See the mod list, I am sure you will find what you are looking for. <+1>
5. Helpful community and Discord server. The game is big enough that you will have no idea that the content actually existed if you do not go through multiple runs. The community is a great place to know how. <+2>
6. Choices have realistic consequences. Most games give choices A and B, but both of them merge back into the same linear main story. Not here, a decision made is just a fraction, and your character converges it's personality from multiple different choices you make throughout the game.

The things that can be cons but are really not.
1. So, It's not really a con, but the game uses real porn for its visuals. A lot of times you may not get the same model for the player character.
On the other hand, most of the main and side characters are well done and use the same real life models so there is no confusion or immersion breaks.
Since, the game is a f2p mode and works totally on devs working on passion, there is nothing to criticize.
This point even tho being in a con- is not actually a con. (It's impossible to have same character for any game since it is not Honey select or other CGI but real porn.)
2. It takes a while to get into the porn content since the game was not meant to be played for a quick session.
3. QSP takes a while to get used to, nothing bad about it but you need to adjust things according to your comfort.
4. Based in Russia and has a lot of cultural references.

CONS
1. It's easy to get lost or lose track. A lot of times you will find yourself repeating content because you have no idea what to do next while being overwhelmed by choices. QUICKFIX- use wiki or find help on discord.
2. The game is old. It is based on the technology a decade back so get used to lackluster use of mobiles and laptops and stuff.
3. You can encounter bugs, but it is expected of a game which is still in development. The fixes are quick enough and should not be an issue if you keep up with the new releases.

Overall, I would give the game a 4.75 stars.

love this game been one of my favs for years and i always come back to it as my go to porn game with plot and interesting things after this i often play life choices by burningsun and i love the chars in this game very varied and with different kinks and the like

Have somewhat mixed feelings about this game, but admittedly it left me feeling more irritated than pleased, in the end. It's good/decent (3-4), if you are interested in playing a town bike. Everybody getting a ride and all.

However, if not. Well, then you might have some issues with the game. I certainly did. Mainly because the "events" in the game almost never take MCs abilities into account at all. And just default you into a role of helpless little girl again & again. Which is pretty goddamn aggravating, if you are playing mc who is a succubus sorceress, who can paralyze people with touch, possesses unnatural (over cap) strength, speed endurance etc. Even if you are just playing normal mc, who just happens to be pretty adept at kick-boxing and such, it's a problem. Though, obviously not quite as big.

Yeah... and if this is not the way the game is meant to be played (in terms of canon), perhaps it shouldn't have been choice at all, as it's clearly largely pointless anyway. Yet, 3/5 starting options have magic included.

Also one thing this game definitely needs is a psychopath... path. The fact, that you cannot even kill any would be rapists as a succubus is frankly, kinda bullshit. Personally, if I was Sveta I would place just as high value in learning how to cause diseases as I would in being able to cure them. Extremely aggressive form of prostate cancer would become VERY common indeed .

Also the game is somewhat buggy.

So yeah, in closing - it's obvious, that most content in this game, is only meant to be played that very typical: "you are a helpless little slut" way. Try to play more capable character and well, you are not really allowed to. As 90% of the game's events don't suit one at all.

Ah well..

Great work! The variety and choices. I really like the opportunity to make small decision inside some event. It's makes the game more realistic. An updated wiki or a detailed walkthrough would be awesome to it.

good game needs more events tho ur basically a cum dumbster that has personality u can get only certient characters to react to you which really is shitty u can tell ur mom that ur having ur fathers baby and she doesen react but if u have the baby of your step father she kicks u out kinda lame

Absolutely amazing improvement of ETO. To say it's better than original and anything that stemmed from it is undertaking. The game feels deeper and quite entertaining. Might be the best QSP game so far.

Once you get the hang about the mechanics in this game its is very good game.

The story is very interesting and you have many different storylines to follow.
Choises actually matter in this game a lot and you can do many different things you epect from a "Life Sim Game"

The only small thing i may note is the pacing. It takes ages to grow up and get out of school, but that can be surpased by easy ro acces ingame cheats

Simply the best game in this genre. Kudos to the Community Members for developing so much content. Really loved playing this game for hours trying different things with each play through.

My only gripe is there isn't any walkthrough or wiki to encounter every event.
