Give the player the choice to get all the characters in one gameplay route or separating them into exclusive routes?

Hi, one problem that troubles me is that when playing porno games,
you can fuck all the girls in one gameplay without consequence or serious relationship,
which means you could actually cheating your love interests in which they're unbeliveably unware the existence others.
For example, you can actually have sex with your girlfriend's best friend in a game.

Yes, I know, sometimes this is called "friends with benefits".
But just think the fact that you can easily get the target by being horny is somehow understated.

So the question is, would you like to have a single gameplay you can get to have all love interests you want?
Or have a complex system that make routes exclusive to others?

If game has tedious and boring gameplay then all girls in single playthrough. If game is pure vn where you can just skip stuff you already saw then do whatever fits the story best.

Both. Character development can be achieved through individual routes, and after completing them and getting to know them, then you can unlock the "harem" route. I think usually the harem route is non-canon depending on the game and it's usually achieved for comedy purpose or just fanservice, and that's cool.

I'm not a big fan of stories with a lot of different paths for different scenes. Most stories aren't worth replaying honestly.

But you could do just both by just unlocking all the alternative scenes after a whole gameplay. People that are there for just the scenes can just look at them at the end, while people that are there for the story can replay the game.

For some players, if you can get all the characters/scenes/content in one playthrough it means that the game is no difference than a kinetic novel and/or it's a lazy game. For others players: if you can't get all the characters/scenes/content in one playthrough it means the game it's to hard/confusing and/or you're trying to milk patreons.

Do whatever you want with your game, at the end you'll be the one at fault anyway.
