This is going to sound harsh, and is not directed at you... I don't give a fuck about the normal online version.
I'm glad to see she's finally getting paid for that, but it's taken far too fucking long.
It's not as simple to mod this game as it was BB. Probably be design, so blame DS for that.

You mean that one NPC is Kate which is childhood friend? You can't change other people relationships in NPC Mapping, only Kate's? I wait so long that we can change settings that Ann is really Max's mom and Alice and Lisa are his sisters. Like old good times.

My Opinion:
At this Point (0.26) in Kate Route you can change all the relations.
But does it really matter how you will be adressed? Sometimes I feel like there is no impact, and then it is only 1 word is changed.
Just for Fun I changed Kate=Julia in "Bitch" That Kate is Julia's Bitch.
Played, but there was 1 Word changed in nearly 4h of playing.
If the Story of Max will not lead to explizit Szenes like in BigBrother you will be dissapointed, even if you can Change 1 Word.
Just wait for a while cause 0.27 will be nearly all about Max. And see how the Progress, the Story so far, and the new Menu will please your wishes.

For someone who played the last released version of the Big Brother game, is the Max portion of the game worth playing? Also does Kate make appearances in it?

The Max portion currently in game is barely worth it right now. He'll eventually have the existing BB content (not quite there yet) along with shovel-loads of new content.
And I'm sure Kate will eventually make cameos in Max's story at some point. She doesn't... yet.
If you're playing the Max storyline, stick with BB for now.

I cant change even Kate's storys relations. What's problem? In 0.25 offline. Can we change relations in 0.26 and 0.27?

IIRC, 0.26 is fixes, grind adjustments and a slew of what he calls improvements.

It seems 0.27 will be the first build to use their new client.
Improvements... Well, they certainly are improvements, in so much as they're more things that have been needed for too long.
