Scenario
Mankind has gone on a ruthless hunt for dragons. Kaname, one of the world’s greatest dragon hunters, has to find a new career. Having to join the guild and take part in the easier missions, she will have to deal with the problems of the goblins in the area.
Gameplay
Goblin Conqueror is linear. You start out in the guild, where there’s not much to do, then embark on a corridor mission, with battles and a boss. The combat system is fundamentally interesting. Kaname gives us a clue as to the goblin’s next move, and it’s up to us to use the right move to counter. On theory, it’s great, but with only three actions, and no real diversity in the opponents, you get bored very quickly!
H-content
The art style didn’t transcend me, but I appreciate the CG during the fights when Kaname is harassed by the goblins. She’s attractive and the goblins have their own way of getting at her. If you want more content, you’ll have to suffer defeat or go to the Memory Room. The situations are relatively varied, but the game’s main feature is the pregnancy system. I’m not a fan, but I think enthusiasts will be delighted with the implementation.
What I didn’t like
Fighting is slow, easy and unexciting. You soon find yourself avoiding them. There’s no side content, no exploration. There are three endings, but the CGs are all the same, so replayability is low.
Conclusion
All in all, I didn’t have a very good time with Goblin Conqueror. There were some good moments discovering certain CGs, but the whole thing bogged down in a slowness that crippled the pace and depth of the game.
