When I started playing I was sure it's 5 stars game, but when I finished current content I wasn't so sure anymore.
Graphics side is great, definitelly in the vanguard of all games I saw here. I also have no issues with the animations. They're nicely done, fluid and just well.. pleasant to watch. So far still 5/5.
Story premise is interesting. Honestly it's hard to tell more, since actual main storyline barely started, but what was shown so far definitely piqued my interest. So... everything's still great.
I guess part of m dissapointment is that the game shows it has the whole big structure ready - the opportunity of changing wardrobes for 6 different activities, girls' statistics about all types of sex, possibility of repetitive pregnancies and more, while... well the actuall content only scratched the surface of all those mechanics so far. Girls only have possibility of changing 1-2 outfits, and for some that was changed during the story, there is not even chance to change back. Like the younger Roommate swimwear. You had to buy her two different ones during events, yet you can only dress her in the second one, the previous ones vanishing? This was only example, there were other times this happened. Then why bother with giving access to wardrobe at all? And the only girl you can put your dick so far is Dottie. Also quite dissapointing, since she's the least interesting character in this game. Well there is also the donating sperm thing which recently progressed from BJ to vaginal sex in condom, but this is more like a chore to earn money than actual sex.
Yes, I do understand the game will be updated and (hopefully) nothing bad will happen, but still what we have now leaves me with feeling of insufficiency. Still, nothing too bad so far.
But what was quite 'meh', it's the fact that latest update was mainly centered about Dottie, and she was introduced as part of some kind of minotaur species. With all inclinations of her being a cow including physicial changes - her riddiculously big breast and weird asshole (which purpose I assume was also to make it look not so much as human's). Not really my thing, but just for this I wouldn't lower the score.
But then there is the sandbox part. I mean, sandbox itself isn't that big issue and this one is overal nicely done BUT. Repetitiveness. This is the core issue I have with this game. There are certain events that can be progressed further if you repeat them. Nothing wrong with the idea. What is however wrong, you have to repeat them in range between 5 and 20 times to fully progress the story. Yes, sometimes it's really that much. And you know what is even worse? Game does not tell you which events can be progressed. Someone put together the walkthrough to make it more clear, but average player experience is just repeating days endlessly to find out which one even can finally advance a bit.
And the dev went even futher there - the event about massaging Amelia has progress bar which cannot be filled up manually, you must run the massage and wait doing nothing more until it's filled to a certain percentage to progress further. And to fully pregress this whole event you need to do it 20 times. 20 TIMES of clicking once and just waiting, and waiting, and waiting more.
Also, you think this was the worst? With latest Dottie update there was event on similar principle, you had to start it and then wait doing nothing. Only that this one didn't even had the progress bar. Just animation and nothing else on the screen. FOR FUCKS SAKE WHY MUST YOU TORMENT PLAYERS WITH THINGS LIKE THIS?
So this just had to be the worst part of it, right? Yeah, still no. There is something called "Hot Day", which has 10% chance of happening from certain point of story. If it happens, you'll get even when you can also interact with your Landlords and Roommates. And you guessed it, there are two events there that also need to be repeated about 10-20 times to fully unlock, but the 'Hot Day' itself has counter of how many times can MC do those events during one visit. Luckily for us dev added possibility of removing this counter "in this version only", so I imagine all future players won't be so lucky anymore. Can you imagine? Random 10% chance of triggering 'Hot Day' and in there so many repetitions to do. Sheer number of wasted days just to do this normally would be astounding. This is the worst possible type of Sandbox.
Honestly I would be best if most of useless repeating of exactly the same events with exactly the same dialogue lines was entirely thrown out, and each repetition changed something noticeable. But the bare minimum to make it reasonable experience is to mark the events that still can be progressed on girls' daily schedules. We can see goal of what to do to progress "main story" of every girl, so why we can't have the same to know which sandbox repetitive events we can progress?
So yeah, this part is very bad. I am subtracting only one star so far considering overall quality of the game and let's see what the future updates will change.
