I've tried searching on and off this site many times, though I can't seem to find many that I end up enjoying. Even less when I seem to enjoy the ones with diverse standing cgs the most. Probably just a niche and very specific genre? At this point I feel like I've played all the good ones. Though I might be missing some hidden gems, thats why I'm asking.

Off the top of my head games that I have played and enjoyed are probably (so that my preferences are somewhat clear):
• SiNiSistar 1 & 2 (Without a doubt the best games of this type I've played so far. The theme, artstyle, gameplay and scenes were very good. Wasn't grindy or tedious and felt very smooth. And the standing cgs in this game were probably the best ones I've seen, with a large diversity and a very expressive style.)
• Night Of Revenge (Very good too, though I liked both SiNiSistar games more, I might just like nuns idk. But this game was more challenging, which as a Dark Souls enjoyer I really liked.)
• Ghost Hunter Vena (I played this a while back and it felt rather "sluggish" if that makes sense. But the artstyle was endearing and the dialogue was funny at times.)
• Thorn Sin (I'm pretty sure this one isn't finished yet, and it felt rather unpolished at times, very similar to Night Of Revenge I'd say, just worse in my opinion.)
• MonCurse (This one isn't finished too I think. And it's quite unique and enjoyable, just not much content in it so far.)
• Cyan Brain (The one I played most recently, that being about two weeks ago, and honestly not really my cup of tea. I guess I'm just not big on sci-fi, medieval fantasy is much more to my liking.)
• Future Fragments (Again not really my cup of tea. Though it's undeniable that the game is quite polished. Felt really smooth and gampelay was overall good. Other than that, I don't know, just didn't enjoy it that much.)
• Alien Quest Eve (Played this because I saw quite a few people saying it's the best in it's genre. It wasn't and I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. Again sci-fi, but the game felt stretched really thin. Like they just wanted to pad the playtime.)
• The Agnietta (Not a side scroller, just had to include it because it's standing cgs were quite good. Though I felt like there wasn't all that much content in this game. At a certain point it just started feeling empty and repetetive.)

I've played many more but either don't remember their names or I didn't think they were good enough examples for me to mention. Once again, any recommendations would be welcome.
