Grammar and spelling check volunteer

So, I don't know any other language, aside from English, and it seems like there are plenty of translation mods out there anyway, but, is spelling, syntax and grammar checking a thing I could volunteer to do? I've considered just DMing a dev and asking, but I didn't want to appear rude by singling someone out.

I'm just speaking from my own experience, but sometimes it just kicks me right out of the story when it's really bad. I am by no means an expert, but on my own, I have gone in and changed things around in my favorite VN, not the story mind you, just the words, or the way the words are used.

Is there a place(or is this that place) to get out there and do this for those that want or need help?

You could make your own script file. A game that I was playing had the same issue with grammar et al and thankfully another player made a modified script file for it and uploaded it. It made the game significantly more enjoyable.
