VN - Ren'Py - Grandma's House [Part 6 v0.91] [Moonbox]

Pretty much a perfect game that perfectly fits my tastes. I put off playing the game for a good while after discovering it simply because I'm really not into granny porn, but after playing it I can confidently say I not only fell in love with the grandmother in the story; I even really wouldn't mind some more action with her (there isn't any yet as of this review) because she really doesn't register as a granny to me.

What really gets me is how the story in this game grabs me so much. Not because of specifically any mindblowing writing or any fantastical story beats, but more because of how human it all is in so many ways and how I really just want to take care of (almost) all the women I meet in the story because nearly all of them have something like a tragic past or an unfulfilling present that makes me just want to sweep them up and show them a better future.

I also really like how the game pretty much has at least one woman for almost any given kink you might have, and almost all of them are optional, so if there are certain kinks you don't like, you don't have to see it (I certainly opted out of a few of them).

The models are absolutely fantastically gorgeous, and even while not really animated the sex scenes are very, truly good.

If I have one hope for the future it's that I hope more of the girls and women move in with the MC. It would probably mean the MC would ahve to move again to an even bigger house, but that wouldn't be a hard sell at all in the story. There are just several married women who needs to dump their useless men at the bottom of a well so that they can be happy on full time and a few other girls with untenable living situations who just really deserve to be adopted.

The only things I could say about this game that are even close to being bad are firstly that there is no animation or music. I feel like none of those are strictly necessary because the models and everything else is so good, and REALLY wouldn't be worth it if including them meant less overall content for each update, but utlimately they WOULD heighten the experience if they were to be introduced. And secondly that there are almost too many girls/women. It's a blessed complaint to have in a way but it really feels quite often like it was just too long ago we met a certain love interest, or even many of them.

I'm not a fan of games where every girl you meet you eventually fuck but this game does it very well. You aren't forced into a route with a girl you aren't interested in and each girl is unique personality and physically wise.
I love games with some slow burn romance and this game does it exceptionally well as of v0.17. The reason the romance is done well is because of the absolute GIGACHAD of a MC. He is charismatic and kind but isn't a wimp or an absolute creep to the girls . 10/10 MC.
The only problem I have with this game is that there is no music (some sex noises would be nice as well). Otherwise, this is still my favorite game on this site.

This got very boring very quickly. It seemed interesting in the beginning because of the large number of different types of characters in the game but the differences actually ended up being different shades of the same colour. There's absolutely no depth and complexity to the characters and the story. Unlocking the gallery and watching every scene on it's own would actually be better cause the story is practically non existent.

As others have said, it's kinda the junk food of incest VNs.. imo it holds just enough suspense/"will-they won't-they" with the relationships to maintain intrigue. Basically the plot of an above-average professional porno. It's a great fap game and I quite enjoy the relationships toward the beginning (esp. Cat and the aunts). At this point I'm mostly interested in Nana and Jamilla, though. (And Amy, if she ever comes back )

I feel that the story kinda runs out of steam because it's stretched too thin with so many girls. It's great that you can opt out of the side-girls, and I definitely took that opportunity with a couple that weren't to my tastes. Even then, I find myself wishing we could just focus on the main family + the first few side-girls that are introduced. The length between scenes for each girl is just so long that it's hard to build intrigue without causing frustration.

The renders are above-average and the body-type variety is undeniably great in a sea of copy/paste bodies. There's a notable effort to incorporate multiple races, even if the representation can be a little shallow and stereotypical at times. The relationships skew pretty dominant but there are slightly more neutral/sub-leaning roles for the MC compared to most other VNs I've seen. It definitely falls in the category of "magic dick" games. None of the girls are remotely hard to get. Even the girls that haven't been fully seduced as of 0.16 are wrapped around the finger of MC.

I don't mean to seem over-critical. Grandma's House is undoubtedly archetypal of its subgenre. While it feels a bit bland and empty at times, its also kinda the perfect magic dick fap game. Overall, I'd say it's a 4/5 for me. One last thing worth noting is that development is very active. It has to be the most frequently updated game on my watchlist, and that's worth quite a lot in itself. It keeps me looking forward to the future, and with the release of 0.17, I'd say that future looks promising.

Grandma's House is basically the typical Superchad fantasy that has no sense for romance or emotions, it's purely porn and nothing else. A guy as charming as a construction worker with a beer belly and no T-shirt is running around with his horse cock and every woman without exception gets wet and wants to procreate. There is a Grandma, but she has no purpose apart from being his wingwoman and reluctant future fuckbuddy.

If that sounds appealing, Grandma's House is perfect for you. But for me that represents everything that is wrong with porn. It's a bit like eating twenty burgers at McDonalds. In the end, everything tastes like cardboard.
I admit that the renders and visuals look nice though. Some of the protagonists could have been appealing if they offered any kind of meaningful story arc.

Well, to preface this I have to say that I'm a pretty simple guy. I'm very into incest and girls calling me "daddy" which in turn makes me really like the game.

Thing is, the dialogue and overall story is both simplistic and honestly pretty boring. It follows a very rigid formula of introducing girls and it gets repetitive. That being said, I like almost all the characters and haven't begun skipping dialogue yet.

If you see the rating of the game and expect a good story or something different and interesting, you will be disappointed. The girls all fall for you extremely quickly, and I personally really like how they look.

If I would be slightly less biased I would probably put the game at around 3-3.5/5 but I also feel that it is better than the vast majority of the games you will find here (granted this is not particularly difficult to achieve ).

I say that if the tags interest you and you aren't looking for story then give it a try, you will probably get a feel for what to expect fairly quickly.

you can more or less divide the girls in 2 categories: the prudes and the throwaway bitches.

the prudes are easy to recognize, nothing will ever happen with them and they all follow the same template:

-an event of some sort happens
-the girl feels either sad or lonely
-mc says "let's do [x] to cheer you up"
-girl says 50 different shades of "golly gosh mc you're the best"
-mc says "gosh golly [insert girl name/relationship here] you're the best"
-they hug and kiss in any spot that doesn't have lips.
-scene ends.

literally all of them follow this template and there's no real indication of progress with them, since they each have multiples of this type of scene, and all of them end the same way, with nothing ever really happening.

the throwaway bitches are also pretty easy to recognize. they get introduced and either 2 seconds later or the second time they meet with mc they have sex.

also, whenever mc speaks with these girls the only words that come out are a series of badly strung-up pickup lines that i can't imagine any actual human saying out loud unironically

they barely get any screen time and were probably introduced back then because people were getting fed up with the constant stalling, so that the dev could just say "uH tEcHnIcAlLy ThErEs SeX sCeNeS " without actually giving the well liked characters anything and keep people wanting.

either that or just to write up "there's [x] new sex scenes" in his report, to try and stop people from leaving

why do i think that? well, because all of them are abrupt and out of nowhere, whether the scene is there or not doesn't really change anything, and there's no actual logical reason for those characters to do it, other than magically feeling the need to spread their legs to mc for some divine reason lol.

there's nothing really sexy or exciting about them either so they're kinda whatever anyways.

you can expect sex scenes with the prudes after the college girlfriend comes find you, which is waaaaay later.

the dialogue writing is pretty cringey, felt like i was reading one of those romance books whose target audience is adolscent high school girls or something

in other words, this game is just a series of events that are only meant to leave whoever is watching in a state of wanting (gotta bait those gullible idiots to throw money somehow right? ), the characters will just say a bunch of slightly suggestive shit, the dev will give them tight fitting clothing, and voilà, scene done.

if you watch the gallery replay you'll still be able to figure out what's happening anyway, so i'd recommend doing that if you really want to see what's happening in this game without wasting time lol.

Amazing game with, fun and interesting characters, and a fulfilling and fantastic story. And while I have praise for the game I have a few problems with the renders/dialog for one character, renders for the MC, and the amount of content. First, is the renders and dialog about the dog Molly whose render is a male dog but the dialog says that Molly is a girl. My suggestion is to use a female dog render or add some dialog that talks about how Molly believes that she is a girl dog. Second, the clothes of the MC after he gets a new set of clothing doesn't really show that well so sometimes I mistake them for his old clothes. I think it would be better to use a bit more colorful clothing or a different style of clothing that can still give off the feeling of him having new clothes. And finally, the MC has a lot of free time on his hands often leaving us with a scene where he watches shows and movies he doesn't even enjoy instead of taking that time to do things that could be done in a choice free roam where we can select a thing to do. This would make it so the number of times he is sitting and watching movies instead of fulfilling his promises or doing things he needs to do. I think it would be awesome if we were able to do more dates, investigate certain characters, help people out, work, fulfill promises, and more.

This game is a diamond in the rough. A large cast of love interests, witty humor and absurdly comedic sex scenes was precisely what we needed to get through this harsh start of a decade... lots of OSHA violtions, super sperm fertilizing anything, Shizuka's hunger for burgers etc... I could talk for hours abot how great the game is...

the art is awesome: there might be clipping but normal people don;t give a fuck about that.

the update speed is frightening fast.

unfortunately it has also flaws: while the dev wants to make sure players don't stumble into unwanted content, having to pick " I want to fuck her" when it comes to Riona, feels redundant, her portions of the game could be a kinetic novel since I can't think of anyone that would turn her down.
another flaw of the game is that we're on update 16 and we still are awaiting for Melissa's return in glory.

Amazing girls and the sex scenes are gorgeous. The story is well told and the bond between the MC and the other characters is well done. There is some choices that can influence some stuff but many of them are Yes/No choices. There are a lot of fetishes is this game. This game is crazy and you should play it.

And I fall into the trap again because this game has almost 5 stars, it starts well but hits a brutal downturn. a lot of hugs, I love you, darling, my baby, I can't take it anymore, the truth is xd I don't even read the texts anymore, it just happened xd you know you love your family because you repeat it a thousand times) = the best part of what I've been playing is with Karen in the bathroom.

I'd like to start out by saying that I have played all updates until about middle of the latest update. That's when I noticed I just kept skipping tons of dialogue because it all felt samey and I basically knew what they were going to say. So I tried the game very early on and loved it then. However I soon warned the dev from falling into the trap that I see many devs fall into (according to me anyway). That traps is women overload. There's too many women in this game.

Some may ask, why is that an issue? Well it means that you never get to see any characters properly develop and leaves 0 room for a story. So that should tell you what kind of game this is and it basically boils down to this: MC who is 20-ish (I still maintain he looks nothing like any 20-year old I've ever seen) and who basically fucks anything with boobs.

I mean that could be fun but the thing is that it kinda just happens and the choices you are offered is basically "Do you wanna fuck this chick? Yes or no" and "Do you wanna do this kink or not?". There's basically no other choices and you're never presented with a story that you feel has any sort of weight. This is mostly because without any effort MC gets to fuck anything he wants. Aunt, childhood friend, childhood friends mom, midgets, grandmas friend, grand mas friends sister the list goes on and on. No character shows any form of jealousy or any meaningful resistance to it. Yes the game is what others may call a "feel good game" but shit eventually that gets boring.

MC is just so charming that everyone goes polyamorous but only MC gets to fuck around. He's just such a catch, he's got enough love to give for everyone. When it comes to the characters themselves I feel like they all have one personality trait. Examples are: Loving grandma, martial arts instructor, cute little girl, cute little asian etc etc. If they are young looking then they will all act like naive little dumbasses.

The reason I give this game a 3 (I was considering a 2) is because the majority of the girls look good. It had a pretty cool and simple start (but got bloated) and the render quality is good. Although animations are lacking. Maybe the game just isn't for me.

In summary: If you're looking for pictures of 3D models having basic dialogue then play it. But I kinda wonder why you don't just watch any random porno with a plot. It has real girl who move and hopefully look sexy as fuck and probably has about the same depth of story as this game.

If you're looking for an engrossing story... look elsewhere. I really enjoy this game, but it's as simple as it gets. Male MC with megadong meets women and every one of them (just about) wants to screw him for no reason.

In the early days I was getting discouraged at the number of butt ugly characters, but it got much better. Still a shame that so many of them have mega butts, but whatever The redheads, aunts, and some side chicks are awesome. and while the story is basic, most of the interactions from the MC are just plain fun.

Pros:

• Lots of different women.
• Generally fun/funny.
• No Sandbox mode or petty job/lifestyle management

Cons:

• No animations. All scenes are single frame slideshow.
• No real goal to the story, other than having sex with everything female that moves.
• Some truly butt ugly/misshapen characters, but you can choose not to do the nasty with them.
• Seriously Dev?! You made Adele look ugly/butch? So wrong

I've played quite a few games, but I honestly love this one. I don't like every character model, but the variation of models is sure to have something for everyone (some of the models are just so darn cute). Some of the writing isn't the best and a few parts have bored me some, but the humor definitely make up for it IMO. I don't mind that there are no animations, the pictures suffice for me.

The one con I have for this game is there is no music, which surprised me. Otherwise, absolutely love it and can't wait for more

Not because of the story or because of its characters it understands what it is and what the medium is here for and knocks it outta the park this game is a porn game and doesn't try to be these stories that story so hard and be these deep or emotional stories that fail because the writer is not good enough so we cringe but gets positive reviews because it's a slow burn game but has barely any content since it's release back 4 years ago.

First Moonbox deserves flowers because watching this game since its release and they have a consistent update cycle damn near every 2 weeks to a month you're getting new content and a good number of scenes in said content most now really kinky content. I can't tell how many games on this site barely update within a year.

Second, the sex scenes are hot yes the body proportions are unreal of course the plot leading up to is ridiculous sure but it all serves a point not to take anything that serious it's a porn game, and making sex scenes shoot better whether you like it or not the exaggerated bodies work because it's not trying to be realistic it is trying to be hot and it works. Not every game needs to be a real game that beats you over the head with realism that is not even realism but a person shelter living on social media or Reddit or Youtube realism.

All this just to me makes this one of the best porn games and seriously this game needs to be an example for a lot of games about consistent updates and just make something people can fap and make sure sex scenes are actually hot.

I have played a lot of porn games but Moonbox in my eyes is a top 3 developer alone on this site and deserves so much more credit and flowers for their work and graphics improving while delivering content in an insane time frame. Go support their Patreon if you can they truly deserve it.

I searched the thread for questions about animations, and many people said that the lack of animations did not affect the game experience. So I decided to play to see, the result makes me regret very much, because the story is very boring.

Many choices are very boring, no character development, just call them hot/beautiful/cute, you will automatically go on their route.

After seeing MC, many girls immediately have a crush on him and are eager to jump on his dick.

And there are a bunch of girls in the game, but because of the developer's technical problems, all of them don't have pubic hair. Wow what a great diversity haha.

One more star for your frequent updates, but frequent updates don't mean the game is good, there are too many better games than this.

If someday this game is completed with the currently quality it will be the best vanilla harem game of this site

He is a Normal and charismatic guy

- Variety of characters all type of beautiful girls

- The inc*st is not forced like many games it is step by step and have logic cause the relationhips between cous*ns are the most common (in japan is legal) and the relationships with a*nts are the second most common
If the sist*r appears in the future the relationship will not be forced because the distance and time has broken the F*mily strings, the relationship with nana will be the most difficult but the author is aware of this and he goes slowly step by step, and little scenes building the relationship

- Very Good renders

- Beautiful Vanilla Story

- Constantly and regular big updates (1 year and the game had more content than some completed games)

(Animations are not needed because the sex scenes contains good renders and hot dialogues, id prefer the animations added after the game is completed only if the author want)

Okay so I stepped out of my usual futa/ntr comfort zone and played this game which as of writing has neither of those genres and from only a few minutes in I think I can safely deduce that Moonbox really likes his girls to have a LOT of junk in the trunk, very clearly an ass man as the girls in this make Kim Kardashian look flat. The girls vary too from petite to muscle girl to potential NASA 10th planet, white girls, black girls, latina girls, rich girls, poor girls, hillbilly on a car bonnet girls, geek girls you save from bullying girls and more!

They have a bit of variation in their personalities too which is nice. The only downside I see to this is the lack of animation, but that's not too bad a thing, perhaps making two images loop at minimum? Could be a potential idea and if the dev wants the renpy code to do that feel free to let me know.

Now...back to my futa/ntr games...
