No you only need the full part not the update patch.

The update patches are not "patches" they're JUST the latest update, so if you're "up to date" you can use the update patch instead of downloading the entire new update ... so if you played 0.82, when 0.83 drops you can download the update patch for 0.83 and "patch" your 0.82 version ... but if you're on 0.82 and you see the 0.84 drop, you couldn't use the patch, since you wouldn't have downloaded 0.83 yet.

Part 6 starts on update 0.82.
