OK, I got to the end of ch1 and tried to load saves to ch2 (same set up with the WT mod type that I used in ch1), but the load save fails and if I chose continue it says that I can either load a save or answer a bunch of questions.
So, is this normal or planned for and I just need to bite the bullet and answer a load of questions?

If you make save right in moment when game said "save now" than there should not be any problem. If you have some issue than try instruction FatGiant 's sign

oh lol, no I save just before it said that as other games have had issues the other way round. OK, I'll try doing what you said.
Was just looking at/going through the questions and had no idea who 'Zelda' is......

If you save in right moment this game is bulletproof. Everytime is issue on user side not on game.

There is a fucking lot of content. If you start now, you'll forget most of the content by the time you get to the current version.

That's true, but it's all pretty much the same. If the npc is female and not called Amy it will impale itself on the MC's dick at every opportunity. And Amy's just a matter of time.

Been play ch1 for a while now. Got two questions.
1) is there a way to tell how far through you are (I hate getting a surprise ending) Just finished getting the car done.
2) Do we get to 'help' the neighbour lady (can't remember her name) in ch1....I remember quite early mc saying that he'd help.

the game alerts you when each downloadable part is going to end and tells you to save. also when you finally get to the end of the current content there is a very good set of pages for you to realize it's the end so you can roll back and save on the last image of the actual story. you don't have to worry about a surprise ending where you can't save before the next file.

This is BAD advice.

The save at the end of each part MUST be mad on the "Save Now" page, not before, not after, ON THE PAGE that says "SAVE NOW".

Forget what works on other games, here, this is how it works.

obviously you did not read what i said since i said exactly that but i only used my knowledge of THIS GAME in what I said and what I know. this game does not give you a point where it goes from the current content and then immediately to the menu, there is something that says hey content ends here, SAVE! and even SAYS if you go past that by one click, to roll back.

The only time I ever fucked it up was when I accidentally saved the SAVE NOW and then saved the save page on top of it.

lol Yeah, it's only 105 miles\170km to the nearest beach, in Dieppe. There was also no queue for the Eiffel Tower.
But hey, if you want realism, this honestly isn't the right game.
Just wait until MC opens his garage & starts working on cars. When you see the tools he uses Paris having a beach will be the least of your concerns.

This game gives you a point where content ENDS for each Update. not to be confused with the end of a Part.
