Gratuitous scenes vs Context scenes

Hello friends and fellow degens!
Well, as the title says. When it comes to games, do you like when a game gives you gratuitous H scenes? For example with an unimportant background character that won't have an impact on the story, nor did it had any requirements aside from players choice to trigger it? Or do you prefer H scenes with context, meaning with important main characters that will have an impact on the story and took some sort of effort to get? Maybe you like a balance of both? If so, please tell me so. What makes you click?

I really don't appreciate unexpected scenes. I like there to be a well-paced, logical, believable corruption arc, ideally with player agency.

I love it when there are some 'side dishes' to enjoy along the way. I think characters that are the focus of the main story should ofc be given priority when it comes to H-scenes, but there is nothing more satisfying in a game then when you can, for example, fuck the innkeeper / shopkeeper / random pedestrian or prostitute or something throught the game.

Especially since so many H-Games nowadays have custom art even for side characters, I'm always dissappointed when I see a character with custom made artwork, only to find out there isn't even a single H-Scene with that character. Why even bother making custom sprites / images then?

I actually don't like when something happens to some side character instead of my character. I like to be attached to one character and influence them rather than have something happen to someone I'm not really influencing or controlling happen. If something does have to happen to them, it should still be from the perspective of the main character seeing it happen.

I'm interested in a protagonist making choices only, not side characters. As for sexual scenes, I don't like random sex scenes with a protagonist like in Anna, Exciting Affection, to me it's important when they are meaningful.
