I like games where you can spend a lot of time leveling up or earning money but most seem to be female protagonist

Last Sovereign however is limited in grinding - enemies and so XP are finite.

also:
Eushully *Meister games

If you have knowledge on the Meister games, how generally wholesome are they? The screenshots remind me of Eiyuu Senki which is 1). one of my most favorite games of all time and 2). very cute, but judging a book by its cover seems to be a mistake on this site.

Also to answer the thread:

Love & Corruption (not a corruption game) is fairly grindy, Eiyuu Senki is more story based but it's still kind of an rpg. Adventurer trainer is also a nice rpg, but it's not all that grindy besides normal rpg mechanics like levelling.
Fall In Labyrinth, as well as basically every RPGM game is fairly grindy, and if you consider cohab games under this, MAOUISHO, Futarigurashi/Living together, and Bottle Biosphere(?) are the longest and hardest to progress from memory.

I generally do not recommend those games, unless someone like here asks for grinding (& male protagonist). The games are very, very slow/ small in *-ups (stats on levelup, weapon-strength, slots (Himegari), drops, etc.) also unforgiving: dead means dead (mostly)

Himegari Dungeon Meister is not at all wholesome. You get to decide how evil you play, but even the least evil which I just did, is still full of rape & such. It is too bad, because to me it has the best gameplay mechanics, character writing (for the girls) and story-to-gameplay translation among the *Meister games. On the other hand the promising premise is completely wasted, and the MTL is significantly worse than I remembered.

Kamidori Alchemy Meister may be wholesome, I can not say since I aborted my play - I could not stand the writing for the MC but also for the girls/ the story bits.
Alas, it is by far the most liked in English language, so lets say that's just me.

Amayui Labyrinth Meister is wholesome. Unless you choose the "B" route, but to do that you must actually look it up. There is no way someone falls into that route by accident. Not only would you need to do all the obviously shady things, and choose the most moronic options, but there is another flag that is unannounced and completely not obvious. (do not develop the dragon girl - like who would just so do that, on the slim chance that that would trigger sth. ?)
I played and NG+-played that game recently and just avoided that B route altogether, and thus spared me some dumb-writing I assume.
Main problem with that game for me are:
- main girl. the character is not bad in herself, and the voiceacting is also not bad, but she is worst choice to be main girl in a game that wants to come off as grand story, dramatic, and whatnot. (lucky-go-happy idiot)
- resources, stat-ups, weapon-ups etc. are not so much "scarce" - which is what these games are played for, but the game is outright and overly stingy.

oh, forgot, all the games: very much game, very little sex events. (most in Himegari, if someone is looking for rape stuff even more)
don't remember Kamidori, but the others had good to very good voiceacting.

+1 for Eiyu Senki, though in my definition the original game is not really "grind", more: a lot of battles, but also much story/ character. But it is enjoyable, good character writing and acting. I strongly recommend the fan(/playstation) -translated version.

and in case you like it, then the follow-up game (GOLD) with its extended "bonus-troops" and crafting functionality has more options to "grind".

I wanted gold to be a sequel SOOOO badly because Himiko's story at the end made me cry so much I just wanted to see her finally get a payoff for being forgotten in the mc harem despite clearly being the main girl...
I might play gold since the original is my 2nd, arguably most favorite nsfw game I've ever played despite me complaining about the harem so much.

For the meister games, yikes the first game sounds bad. I wish more games with nice gameplay would be wholesome- the names make me think of Eld which I have played (despite it not being generally wholesome)... though it's far more lighthearted
I'll check out Amayui Labyrinth Meister though, grinding isn't a HUGE issue for me... though sometimes if I'm short on time I put the game off for a while

There's also Monster Girl Quest Paradox. You play as a male protagonist in a world of monsters. The Story is based on the original Monster Girl Quest, with a Paradox of sorts happening. The original is not as grindy, however, since it's on a Visual Novel Engine. The scenes are pretty vore-heavy and 99% of the time it's femdom.
