Grove [v0.308]: a uniquely good game that's nothing comparable on the market
At first glace you'd think it's just another niche RPGM game, but in fact It's a very well-thoughtout well-polished game packed with (steamy) contents and fun gameplay, as long as you don't strongly hate the kinks it has (furry, tentacles, mind control)
Pros:
At first glace you'd think it's just another niche RPGM game, but in fact It's a very well-thoughtout well-polished game packed with (steamy) contents and fun gameplay, as long as you don't strongly hate the kinks it has (furry, tentacles, mind control)
Pros:
- A unique combat sex system, not only super erotic, but super fun to play with
- A well handled structure, offers actual meaningful branching based on your action, not lazily laid out "dialog options" you pick from
- Great pacing and level design. The dev make sure you would experience everything they wish you to
- Great aesthetics and art direction
- It somehow managed to fuse "Cute" and "Sexy" together, just not in the same frame
- Action packed, sex every step you play
- Good writing
- Lewd scenes hit just the right spot - lengthy enough with great details, but too long that you want to skip
- Don't require the "Grind" like traditional RPGM would
- This is nuanced: The Gameover condition needs better balance
- "Game Over" plays a big role in the game, and you want to experience every single one (they are very spicy), before progress the level
- But this can become frustration very quick if you fail to figure out how to pass the level - repeatably meet the same gameover is not fun
- It's difficult to immerse oneself to MC (Grove), he's just too bland that doesn't even talk in game.
- Arts really could use some polish, but it's clearly still WIP so no big deal
- A RPGM game, hs every limitation that RPGM engine 'offers'
