Unity - Guild of Spicy Adventures [v73] [Hikkeiru]

Not normally a fan of Visual Novel type games but really liked this one, enough for me to actually pledge to the Patreon, story is good and surprisingly wholesome at times but still allows you the freedom to be depraved if you want, characters were all likeable for me with their own quirks and the progression of the relationships felt real given the circumstances of this games universe.

Looking forward to seeing more updates on this one.

if playing the game wasnt a dragged out experience of a guessing game then it would b a solid game, except that doesnt get people to pay so ofc you make a slog so that paying is faster

This game just sucks. Like its so bad. I cannot fathom the positive reviews. I wanted to stop playing but the positive reviews convinced me it would get better, it just didn't. The writing is absolutely god awful, the sentence structure is flat out bad and there are a fuck-ton of grammatical errors. On top of that the story is basically non existent, like the writer just assumed that if they make it random and non-sensical enough it would somehow be good. The UI is also flat out dogshit. The textbox is clunky, the rollback doesn't really work, the choice screens are clunky and the sandbox sections are damn unpleasant to navigate. The menus also suck. The actual game world and environment is just a bunch of random asset flips that the game attempts to write off as "te-he other world is so random". Low effort garbage. And the girls are so unlikable that I don't want to interact with them let alone fuck them. I've met some unpleasant people before but the characters in this game are so nasty its downright diabolical. Save a girl, get death threats, save two more, get more death threats and get blamed somehow for saving them. In fact it seems that the nicer your choices are the more shit you get while being an asshole yourself is "rewarded" and by that I mean you violate them and at least get warranted death threats. If I was the mc in this shit Id just skip town, and maybe burn it down on the way out. Taking my chances with the monsters seems like a better bet, they legitimately try to kill you less.

TLDR Hot garbage.

Pretty neat game...the story is funny and the renders are great as well...pretty entertaining overall the game is mix of adventure and comedy and has a lot of content and I like the fact that I dev is working on it...neat updates and bug fixes..so if you are looking for a game that's both fun and adventurous to play..give this one a go I am pretty sure you will like it a lot and I saw the dev Hikkeiru get jumped by like 3 guys outside Walmart so that counts ig...well my man went for 1v3 but lost...still 5/5 experience both the game and the dev.

A cute horny game that makes you feel warm inside. MC isn't afraid to take responsibility of the girls and has a sharp tongue. Genre could be described as a visual novel with MMDs (or something like that, idc). Played the free version that lacks quite a bit of content from the paid one.

Story is original to the degree of feeling a bit random (like take the dragon scene or Manako introduction). I like it, 'cause it feels fresh, and you don't know what to expect next. Also there's CONSEQUENCES for your actions! Usually your choices don't really matter, but here they often do, and you get reminded of them later. Helps immersion a lot.

Game gives a plenty of dialogue options. In modern games you have like two/three. Here you just randomly get about 12 with a choice for your name for Dalia to use. And that's not the only time that happens. Shows the attention to detail, allowing you to play out any kind of MC you want.

Characters are cute and weird in their own way, that makes them feel more real. Like Dalia with her husband obsession, Kanae with sado/maso tendencies, Manako who's a psycho slut. And the list goes on. Some of those archetypes I didn't encounter before, so it was kind of refreshing.

Sex scenes weren't really that great. Feels like some basic MMDs that you can easily find on internet. The plot carried them hard, and I guess that's okay.

I did encounter a few bugs here and there, but nothing too critical. After reload it was all gone. Totally playable, except that you quickly run out of content.

I hope the game is finished at some point, but as of now, there's just not enough content to play through. You quickly run out of it after a few sessions. Hence the 4*.

I wanted to say that this game is amazing and well written ,it made me laugh with the humor in the beginning of game and I also would like to say that if you love adventure games and anime like give this game a chance I recommend to everyone who loves playing anime games you Rock Hikkeiru Spicy Adventures forever woo hoo I want to also say that there is options in the game that give you choices on what you can do and to avoid i read a couple reviews down below people just play for a couple minutes and without diving deep into the game or understanding the protagonist and the characters around him they backlash on allot about the game because they may not like a certain thing that happens but one thing I will say before deciding to quit give at least hr of gameplay before making decision the creator put there hard work and soul into this game and also A+ bonus game has animated scenes and the graphics are very beautiful and also the game gives me a reason to live everyday I love you Hikkeriu Spicy adventures for life ❤❤❤

Overall a pretty poor experience- whether it be the lackluster characters that are emotionally void (or just outright violent), the bad UX / clunky UI, paywalled core features (that also have bad UX / clunky UI), or the visual inconsistencies / artifacting.

The game being in Unity is an odd choice, but I can respect developers choosing their platform of choice. Although, I feel as if this choice only hinders this game as opposed to assisting the developer in making a unique experience (which this is not).

The gallery (which is typically a 'core system' for these VN-style games) is locked behind a paywall. I won't harp on specifics as-per the reviewing rules, but this sort of gatekeeping can/will impact the overall experience. Even after gaining access to this core feature it too was riddled with UI issues.

I've played quite a few free-roam games, but with this game it felt quite frustrating to navigate through the world- especially so if you're told 'X' scene happens at 'Y' place yet you encounter absolutely nothing. The UI that details 'where to go next' is hard to read and sometimes isn't 100% accurate.

Visually speaking there are some alright scenes, but the bulk of the game lacks the same tender loving care. I'm not asking for world-class audio/lighting design in everything imaginable (FMOD is included, but hardly utilized to its potential), but at the very least give every setting/character some attention. Sometimes these events happen out of order or don't even happen at all (sometimes it gets labeled as completed when I never even did 'X' or 'Y'?).

1/5 for me. Do your research before playing/supporting, because time spent is time you can't get back.

This is so uncomfortable to play. It's eerily silent despite having sound options, it's made in Unity despite being an inferior RENPY wannabe, and the animations aren't even the best I've seen using everybody's go-to for hentai cheese. There is nothing about this that stands apart in any way other than bad. It's only claim to fame is how inferior it is to other similar projects. That's pretty impressive.

Sex has no sound. There's no background noise or music at all. The first sound you get in-game is some free to use blast asset for getting an...info card? Why? You can't save over old saves without first deleting it, something programs from the 90s could manage. The writing is not good. Not the worst, but hardly even worth a single sentence entry to mention.

I just don't understand this game. On one hand, it's commendable to try and make it yourself in Unity...I guess. But on the other, it's just outright worse than what you'd have in Renpy. Why is it deathly silent? That's not the atmosphere I want for either enjoying a story or beating my schmeat. Why do people find this worthy of so many high ratings? It's just worse than countless similar projects in every last regard. Maybe it gets better after some point or another, maybe not, but either way, I'm sure as hell not sticking around to find out.

Game is convoluted and at times quite annoying. Took what felt like ages to get through all of the story to find that there is very little sexual content for the pages on pages of "story" that so far seems to be everyone either hates you or goes from hating you to wanting to fuck you the next second(aside from 2 characters that are into you and one of which is a nympho who wants to fuck all the time to get meaning to life). This is the only game on here I've played I think ever where I genuinely felt hate at times for because their character is just annoying and pointless to the story.

Honestly feels more like playing a game than playing a porn game when 95% of it is just walking around talking to people and doing things completely unrelated to sex. If you like long burns then maybe this is the game for you, but after a year and a half of development I personally expect more sexual content.

To me is a "not worth the effort" game, because you go from a lot of character development to just fucking a couple of them without much reason to it beyond the content being stale by the time you get to that point. Dev states your guild doesn't have a building because you're building the guild from the ground up, but if you can't actually build the building 1.5 years into development I don't see this game progressing in any substantial way any time soon.

Dev actively punishes supporters for sharing versions of the game as well, while still interacting often on here. Comes off as hypocritical to me to use the site to gain feedback but punish those who upload here.

great game, active developer who responds to problems quickly. if they don't the people here will. great game so far with sooo much potential. amazing story, such few bugs and the ones that are there are very minor. the art style is great. audio is great. and the story is not difficult to pick up.

This game is absolutely worth your time folks. Humour and situations you're got into are great. Replayability also is present. All characters got their own personalities and charm which is really hard to forget. Battles are still in test mode and it's actually spam attack to win, but I have no doubts it will become better in the future and we will have something like jrpg style battle system with magic items and etc. I wish all the best to this project and looking forward for the next patch to keep watching how the story goes.

Review on "Gosa" From Soraka: Firstly, i am in love with Cylia, not even joking, the girl is simply perfect, don't know it she is based on anyone or you are just this of a amazing autor, but she has depth and has character, she is perfect, and i didn't even expect how great would be her development, she truly fell in love with "me" and i could sense her guard lowering down slowly in every interaction instead of a simple jump, truly well written.
About the game in itself, simply wonderful, you truly created a gem, i don't even like games that much but i couldn't stop playing this one.
On characters, amazing characters, great development in their story and they truly feel alive instead of simply being there for the player to smash. Every girl had her own thing but in a good way, normally in stories with this many people authors will simply make every one 2D without any depth and feel just there, but you did great on this, every one is there for a purpose and feel like they truly belong in their world.
On the H part, lovely, everyone has their own tastes and preferences, and normally authors will try to make everyone happy and end up in a mess or make it into a single thing, but you did neither, you made the game as full as it needed to be without being to much and without being to little, having a build up to every H scene made every encounter worth it and made everything even better since it is a reward instead of simply being porn, also, the fact that "I" only had sexual encounters with sleeping girls in 70% of the game is divine, keep it up, great taste.
On game play, i thought it is a visual novel it still did great, by study it is recommended 15 to 20 words max for box so the viewer never feel like reading a book, which you did great, even tho there were a lot of text it didn't feel to much since they were delivered into bite sized chunks.
On combat, since it was more of a proof of concept I guess i can use this point to talk about ideas, since the player will most likely play with one hand since… well, having a combat focused on mouse or keyboard, or in a way were both can be used on itself would be great, like, the attack and defense button being keyed to “1 and 2” like every other option would be great, and it open up for more options like having the keys around that side of the keyboard being allocated to different spell, items and actions, also, having adventures with Cylia and hunting with Cylia seems amazing.
On visual, simply amazing, i love the art-style, the character design, cloths and Cylia, great choices on everything on that part.
To end it, i am in love with Cylia and i wanna FU- great game, great visuals, great story, i am grateful for your hardwork and i hope soon to be able to support you.

I did not like any part of this game, I am not able to comprehend the high score or reviews. Putting 2 stars only for effort.

The game is a mess, things appear for no reason, exist for no reason, go somewhere for no reason, there is no real plot, no real characters background, for a visual novel that is bad.

I will highlight that UI is incredibly clunky, takes a lot of visual space.

The story is almost impossible to get into, the characters make no feelings, the ui clunkiness and constant annoyance make it unbearable to play.

Its was such a great games have a lot of potentials for the development

I hope i can play more from this game in the future and waiting for new updates

i really like this game and i think it has a bright future if the developer keeps up the current development of the story and characters i think this could become one of the better games on this website anyway to the actual review

when i first started the game i almost immediately hated the female characters they where and are currently still mostly childish impulsive and just all around assholes in my opinion but they are getting better they are starting to open up more and are starting to treat the mc with more respect and just treating him normally instead of constantly insulting him and making fun of him at every turn so while i still dislike them for the most part i'm starting to hate them less and less which is good i hope the game will keep this up

now let's talk about the mc himself he is an absolute pervert and doesn't hide it whatsoever and while i mostly like this about him there where moments where i just face palmed myself multiple times he is just asking for trouble but while he is an absolute pervert there is definitely more to him than that for starters he is really good at striking up conversations he knows how to start a conversation and end a conversation all the while making great points and generally being smart and charismatic and more often than not ends up winning the conversation all the while somehow convincing the girls to do something sexual with him he is genuinely really well written as are all the characters in the game honestly so all in all a great mc to play as

now let's talk about about the graphics and the presentation now obviously this is a game made with koikatsu so it should be familiar it's better than most but not some of the best looking koikatsu games so the graphics are good i can work with koikatsu i know enough to be able to make decent looking comics with it so i know a bit about koikatsu so i know this game looks above average and pretty much the only way to make koikatsu games look better is good lighting or using blender i don't know how it works with blender but i've seen koikatsu or honey select games using blender and those games look amazing aside from that you can make your own maps or you can download maps props etc. from the internet from as far as i know you can't move or replace props from premade maps and the characters all look unique and are obviously made with care

now let's talk about the story from what i can tell it's pretty much an isekai but instead of being killed by truck-kun the mc tries to shoot himself in the head after making a honestly stupid mistake on his work i won't spoil he then gets rescued by a mysterious girl get's a system which helps him that only he can talk to and see that helps him in the other world he then get's to the other world and you can guess the rest now in my opinion i still love isekai anime so i don't mind this game being an isekai it honestly opens up a lot of posibilities of different kind of humanoid races

now let's talk briefly about the games writing it's great i mean the emotions of mostly rage that this games writing made me feel should say plenty of how good this games writing is all the characters are well written l the story while barely starting is well realized and i never got bored playing this games and some jokes really made me laugh the world is interesting and i'm starting to like the characters more after hating them for the majority of the game i think that speaks volumes of the games writing

all in all i really like this game and will be eagerly awaiting for future updates i really hopes the dev doesn't abandon the game like so many others since this game is already better than most games on this website

GOSA is gearing up to be the next best adult game. It is evident that the creator has a vision of how they want this game to play out. A lot of detail has gone into the choices that you make throughout what content is currently available. Locations and characters are revealed with good pacing and each have their own identities. The highest praise I can give this game is that the scenes are rewarding for the time spent playing. I will be following this dev and everything that they do.

I admit i played this goofy game for 18h non-stop and laughed my ass off A LOT of times, the "what the fuck" situations and silly dialogues reminded me of the moronics moments i had with my friends a long time ago. GET MY DAMN MONEY!

By far my favorite for now. The story is so much fun, the characters are amazing, And is actualy a game, depending on your choice you can actualy go for some really different scenes, which is amazing.

A great VN with an engaging story and overall a ton of potential once reaching it's full release. The only reason it simmers it down for me at the moment to a 4* rating is the sheer fact that i got immersed too much and felt bad after i hit a story "roadblock". (v0.59 played at time of review; roadblock meaning reaching the end of story content in said version)

This game has become one my favorites mainly because of how lighthearted and funny the story and characters are, the girls are very cute and the development is relatively quick ... I think more work could be put into the animations but that's not necessary right now...
