VN - Ren'Py - Guilty Pleasure [v0.51] [Quonix]

I agree with the general consensus vote of 3.5, which I round up to 4 because I think that the renders justify this.
There are strong points about this VN, the renders, of course, as other pointed out, but also the initial development of the story, which I agree that is not completely original, but I still liked a lot: the sexual tension between the MC and his sister that culminates in the camping scene is well built. I also appreciates that we get to see some action quite early in the story, that's a plus for me. However, lately the progression of the story has seemed to come to a halt, it's like the MC is revolving a little bit about himself and his well-established relationships instead of actually progressive.
Anyway, I follow the updates very fondly because I know that there is much potential and I do recommend to play this if the kinks (especially incest) are your deal.

Very nice game with remarkably good renders, some nice animations, gorgeous models (especially Lilly and Maya) and a charming story. Basically it's all about the slow corruption mostly of your female family members, but the pacing of this story is way better than usual since this time one of those girls is even kinkier than our MC.

And there is one more good thing about Guilty Pleasure: The developer is providing short but spicy updates on a regular basis. Very commendable.

I edited my original review due to the writing. The dialog hasn't been very good, especially from the MC. At times he's been coming off as an ass. Also the stuff with Maya has been getting annoying. I had hoped the sex scenes would improve but no. They're lewd but not what you can call sexy. recent updates have been disappointing. A shame.

For me this isn't a bad one at all.

I like the look of the girls and the MC actually doesn't look like a douche.

One down side for me is the repeating of " It's not like we're making babies" or statements like that, it's a bit of a buzz kill. I wouldn't mind if the sex scenes were longer. Also doggie for Lilly's first time was an odd choice, most girls prefer more intimate.

It would have been nice if Maya had been optional, it's nice to be able to play through with the main girls first, then play through with side girls if you want after.

They were on the right track when Lilly became a little jealous of Maya, it would be natural as she just gave up her virginity but then they backtracked a bit later which was unfortunate.

Also it would be nice if the Devs pulled the MC's and Lilly's heads out of the asses and admit they have feelings more than fuck buddies. Let them have some romance and make them the power couple that pulls the other girls in.

It'll be interesting to see how this progresses, there is a lot of potential but also potential to disappoint. So far so good.

This game has some impressive models and animations which does put it up there in terms of ratings. The story is not special, complex or overly impressive in any sense of the word though, but its also not stupidly obvious that you playing an erotic VN that is hellbent churning out boring fap content. All in all its good and the developer has something here that they can do well with provided they keep with the vibe and trend.

My only gripe would be that updates are very small and short in terms of content, so much so that I would advise to maybe wait for a few versions to get a bit more out of this game.

I was quite suprised that I actually finished and enjoyed this story. Same premise as most but just different enough to hold my attention. The renders and animations were well done( a little short). This is one I will for sure keep an eye on.

Let's start with the good.
-the renders are good
-i really like the models of all the girls
Unfortunately, that's about all the good points I can think of.

Now to the bad
There isn't much of a story, the progression is way too fast, sex scenes are usually one animation and are very short.
The updates are frequent, but very short. Probably about an hour in total, maybe a bit more, depending on the reading speed.

The game started out relatively interesting with the party and all, but after that it gets worse.
Choices got thrown out of the window about halfway in the story, the MC get's dumber witch each update and pretty much thinks only with his dick at this point. I think the highlight in the most recent update was as the MC states: 'nah, she can get pregnant, she's taking a shower...

There isn't much in terms of character depth to any of the LI's, even less character development.
Also don't expect romance or some deeper relationiships, yes there was this choice early on, that you want more...but there really isn't anything in terms of relationship development, nor is there any tension etc. Just fucking or trying to make the next girl horny so she joins.
The others are all cool as they find out he's fucking his sister, because 'hey we're just fucking, not making babys'...

The MC doesn't even feel much like the MC at this point, he just goes along with everything and follows Lillys 'plans' as she wants him to go for the entire family. Why...yeah, because that brings them all closer together or maybe she wants some action with them, i don't know.

I gave the game five stars for the first time.
The animation and character descriptions in this game are excellent.
It's longer because of the branching storylines, but I think it's worth it.
It should be the best in many games of the same genre, at least for the time being.

Guilty pleasure is about right. This one slides down like a cheap ice cream. No real tension, it's a matter of when not if you'll collect 'em all. The funniest thing about it is how the mom and aunt just look the same age as the kids. Renders, script, all easy on the eye. It's pacy but not absurdly so, allowing the MC to smoothly transition from dweeb to chad. As noted elsewhere, the drawback is the brief and perfunctory h/scenes, which barely scratch the surface of the kink in the concept. But kick back and enjoy if family harems are your thing.

The game has some scenario and that's good. Not everything is immediately predictable. The girl models are pretty good, although not all of them are. There is no need to spin around and grind for a long time. There are not many dialogues. Almost one continuous action. I like everything so far. Mojats rating 5 stars. I am waiting for the continuation.

A decent looking game held back by some pretty pedestrian sex scenes.
Despite the conventional wisdom there are not a ton of good incest harem games and this one has the framework to be one of them but fails at the most important thing the sex scenes.
The models are nice looking and the renders and visuals over all are solid. The narrative while nothing great is average and it least make a passing attempt to deal with the implications of an incestuous relationship, these issues are pretty quickly left in the dust, but the attempt to even address them at all is a point in the game's favor.
The writing again is solid but not spectacular overall but comes up short when it comes to sex scenes.
The biggest failing of the game is that it's just not that sexy, the sex scenes are short and there isn't really much dirty talk or arousing text to go along with them. The Animations look to be canned, which wouldn't be a huge deal if more of an effort was made to make the sex scenes arousing.
Give it a shot if you like incest and harems, otherwise the sex scenes and narrative aren't enough to recommend it to people who aren't into those kinks

To be honest, this should be a solid 3.8-4.2 star game. The reason it has a lower score than that is because it doesn't fit some loud people's tastes and they give it a bad rating. The vast majority of people who do like it don't bother rating it.

I honestly really like what's been done, but speaking frankly the devs will never finish this game. If they do it'll take 5-6 more years. We're 2 years into development and there's like 40-ish minutes of game. I've played initial releases with more content (admittedly that's rare). Devs are just milking their followers with drip feed content. At least what they are releasing is good, though it feels like both quality and quantity has been declining with recent releases. I'm really conflicted how to rate this one, on one hand the content deserves a solid rating, on the other the devs don't.

Edit for 2025: I first rated this a 3 star 3 years ago. I noted at the time that the quality seemed to be dropping slightly every release, a trend that has sadly continued. We're 5 years into development of this game and it barely has any more content than when I reviewed it 3 years ago. Furthermore that content is real mediocre. This game brings good models and quick fap material but it sacrificed everything else. Now it's even sacrificing the fap material part. Sex scenes are one animation and a few lines of dialogue, if that. It probably takes next to no effort. The devs should at least write a few more lines into the scenes, that would take practically no effort and would really improve them. Alas, I have to take the remaining stars away from this low effort rolling dumpster fire.

I love this game so far. Secret fucking in the house is kind of nice turn on. And girls are really hot. I would love to get more of it. Thanks developer.

Story about the first fuck with Lilly was really really hot BTW

Guilty Pleasure (0.19 v) is a good game to fap to, not the best to get immersed in. The main reason being that the story goes way too fast for it to be believable, and though the characters have some personality and development, they end up all behaving as sluts rather easily. There aren't many choices to make and most of them didn't feel very impactful either. The good side of this is that there are very few scenes that don't matter or don't have something relevant to the story happening in them.

Render quality is really high as well, which is an important aspect to a game like this. Same goes for animations, even though sex scenes are usually rather short and have few animations those have very good quality. There are a couple songs but they do get a bit repetitive after a while. And, even though it's not a long game so far, I found no bugs in it.

So, all in all, a decent game worth the time if you're into good renders, animations and/or incest. And you can brush up under the rug how quickly everything happens. Also, as a small note, every update brings in very little content, so it usually is worthwhile to skip some of them.

Mid. Renders are okay but nothing to really look at. Story is bland, plays into tropes, and I skipped most of it (I usually read and try to get engrossed). Very few choices. Animations are basic. Not worth it tbh.

Whenever I play a game with an incest tag, I can already tell the developer doesn't have any siblings so he/she just projects their fantasy of a what a taboo relationship would look like through their game. There are some games where the incest/family relationships are totally believable but sadly this ain't one of them.

To begin with, the story is way too linear with not even a single subplot that I could find except for the one girl the protagonist has to tutor which is meh. The rendering and character models are average too. Plus the sex scenes are way too short with one single animation . But the biggest downside of this game is it's character writing. Idk if the developer wanted to go a comedic route which I really doubt that considering there's hardly any comedic moment, it's just the ridiculousness of some scenes.

Let's start with the protagonist, the more the story goes on the dumber he gets and only thinks with his dick like most other adult games but this is on another level. On top of that, things are way too easy for him. There's no build up, no sense of challenge, no progression like nothing that makes sense. This makes the story really boring as time goes on. One moment a problem arises like him getting caught fucking his younger sister, another moment it gets resolved like nothing happened. This is totally how the whole story goes...Everyone : sees them fucking - they say wtf is going on - then they go with 'but we aren't making babies, we just fuckin' - Everyone : 'ah that makes total sense' like what?? The conversation between the characters are just way too unnatural and unbelievable. There's a weird aunt who just seems totally fine seeing his nephew and niece getting lit. As for his mom and sisters, they don't seem to have any depth and are kinda dumb except lily who wants to see mc fuck their family, as she believes that will bring them closer

The final verdict, I will only recommend this game to those people who are really into incest and don't mind playing through a game with shallow depth and unnatural character interactions. If you just wanna see the protagonist fuck his sisters and mom then go ahead, but even then he's clapping only one of his sisters as of this update.

Usually when I see a dev with a game two years in production, only two hours of content, and a patreon making $2200 a month I would run the other way as fast as fuckin possible.

I'm glad I took the brief time to play this out. There aren't any huge typos, the writing is actually decent (though lacking nuance or clever wit), and the women have realistic boobs. Also no one thus far has pubes, which is a massive bonus for me. There's significant action with one sister, one accidental poke-n-cum with the other, and tons of tits from the mom and aunt.

Honestly the only downside right now is the lack of any real meat. There are only maybe half a dozen choices to be made, and even if I weren't using the mod it would still be obvious which ones to pick. And the super slow progress also annoys me, particularly when the dev is making so much money. LIke I said, nine out of ten times this means content will be milked as much as possible.

In any case, it was a super worthwhile two hours and it didn't leave me feeling blue balled. Recommend definitely.

The script at the beginning was amazing. Truly. MC is mature and a decent bro.
Yet after being on the thumb of Lilly, he became dumb, dependent, dishonorable and naive that as the supposed man of the house, much worse, older than Lilly, has lost all his authority and respect.
Basically he became a harem protagonist.

Here I thought the main focus would be those 3 closest to him.
You cant even have a decent Visual Novel feature of making actual choices of refusing something or someone.

It almost seem more like a Kinetic Novel storytelling than a VN.

Animations were amazing though.
But later animations will disappoint you.

Game is being rushed, sadly.

Good renders and great story.
The relationships actually feel taboo, something many incest games lack.
The story has a good pace and keeps the player interested. I felt no need to skip to the sex scenes as the story and buildup is so enjoyable.
With each update its getting better it seems, looking forward to more!

the storyline with his M.. is not too fast or too long which is very interesting. The S...... are just right and the A.... is sassy . Great idea, can't wait to see more.
Maybe the ability to choose age of the protagonist would be cool.
