Tool H-game selector - a viewer for selecting from your labyrinth of hgames

Hello,

I built an app a couple years ago for managing one's collection of h-games more ergonomically and am sharing it here in case anyone's interested.

Key features;

• Create a gallery of games and their circles/brands with nice big icons which you can easily navigate and search through.
• Import metadata (icons, tags, names, etc) from DLsite (Web scraping) and VNDB (Uses their API but limited, have not added tag or brand importation).
• Edit hgames or remove them by simply right clicking on the game's icon.
• Search your collection via circle, name and tags.
• Scan a your games directory for games/executables adding all your games in batch.
  • Includes automatically pulling DLsite data if you've got the DLsite game code in the executable's path.
• Responsive menu which should look good regardless of screen res, probably...

Features partially written (Features which I lost the front end logic for);

• View web archives hosted on MEGA or IPFS like a catalogue and download them in app.

This program however is unfortunately going to be abandonware on my front as I'm retiring from coomerism, it has got to the extent that it's unhealthy for me.

That being said I still think in moderation porn games are safe and can be fun and well made.
Particularly ones which have fun mechanics and good stories such as MGQ and SHRIFT.
Thus wanted to share in case anyone may like to use it, or take some inspiration from it for requesting features to this f95Checker application which I'm seeing just now in hindsight.

I don't want to incite a discussion about coomerism thus please keep discourse in this thread to the app itself.
I am simply just explaining why I shall not be supporting it.

Note on moving your data from one tool version to another;
User data is stored entirely within the tool's folder thus you need to go to: tool folder->resources->app and copy the "userdata" folder between versions.

I get this message error when i try adding a game, i might have done something incorrectly, so could you explain how to add games? from an already downloaded file, with example would be easier

Would need to know a bit about your context to debug i.e. the directory/path of the game you got the error with (while hiding private information such as personal folder or user names please) or exactly the flow of actions you took.

Nah, the function behind manually adding icons from file was bugged.
Hadn't considered any non-web scraping nor non-VNDB API dependant features to have any issues but it appears the source code I recovered from my drive was a version a little older than I'd thought.

I've fixed said issue as well as two other minor bugs I found.
