Unity - Hail Dicktator [v0.86.1] [Hachigames]

Theres alot of issues but alot of good stuff in this one, as for the story i like it and thats one of the main reasons i give this 3.5 stars, i like most of the characters and their stories which really saves this game.

The LIs has diffrent personalities where most work and theres plenty of fun doing the story as well.
Theres also alot of BDSM which im not really into but in this one its not bad and even fun at times.

The sandbox is pretty piss poor though and it has 0 replayablity due to the poor sandbox and quest system, 90% of the time you need to wait for next day to progress a story so it becomes a clicking maraton and if i had ever lost saves in this i dont think i could ever replay it.

This is also the first kinetic/linear game ive ever liked, i normaly never play kinetic or linear games since i hate having forced LIs and yes this has that as well.

But i loved proberly 80% of the LIs and i like the diversity in builds as well.

Renders and animations are good.

Theres a ton of content but ofc game is old now so with regular updates its no wonder.

Im mostly a story player and i loved the stories in this one, mostly the side stories with the LIs but main story is pretty decent as well and having a great diversity of LIs is a huge plus as well, had to drop it a star due to the sandbox and had to drop another star for being linear/kinetic having forced anal and LIs since it wasent needed for story it could have a skip option at the very least but they dident think about that, but overall i really like this one.

Lowest effort and most rushed kinetic VN with pointless sandbox i have ever seen.
Story about island and goddesses is kinda interesting but it barely ever moves, because story makes only 1% of this VN. The rest 99% is pointless and repetitive filler. Writing is poor, characters are fake and switch emotions as bots. Most of content is someone getting tied and spanked for barely any reason.
This is massive waste of time i can't imagine anyone not getting sick of.

Between the exploration maze and the terrible quest design, you have no option but to follow step by step the quests hints...

This plus actions you can only do at a very specific time in a very specific order.

I don't get the popularity of that thing, it's like working but without the wages...

TLDR: Don't waste your time on this.

Feedback for the Devs:

Hey devs, first of all, thanks for the effort you’ve put into the game. That said, I wanted to point out an issue that really affects the experience.

The MC seems to have a serious premature ejaculation problem. He barely gets two thrusts in before he finishes, and sometimes doesn’t even make it to the third. It kills the mood and makes the scenes feel super rushed. The dialogue often goes like, “I’m in—I'm coming,” and it’s over. Meanwhile, we go through tons of build-up and long conversations, but the actual sex scenes are over in seconds.

It would be great if you could either extend the scenes, add some variation, or maybe even include some in-game solution—like a pill or a stat mechanic to help with stamina. Something to balance it out.

Really love the potential in the game, just hoping this gets a bit more attention in future updates.

One of the few games on here I actually play for the story.
Great models, very likeable characters with character arcs, almost no grind, story is interesting and intriguing... and of course there's also lots of sex in various "flavors" (with a focus on BDSM).

With a game of this length, I'm always a bit sceptical and almost expecting a turn for the worse in quality. So far, this hasn't happened with this game.

It's a fantastic Harem game; the characters and world-building work very well. The cast of women is quite diverse, and, to my biggest surprise, the main story kept me engaged.

This game is great and I recommend everyone check it out UNLESS you are someone who is NOT into any sort of BDSM/spanking and actively dislikes anything in that direction.

One of the example games in the genre of harem games, this game has interesting characters and a bit of an over the top story which makes the experience quite fun. Good game for anyone wanting a long quite feel good harem game especially if you are into bondage.

This is one of those i really wish i could give it 5 stars, but can't.

The story is good, characters are varied both in physical appearance and character traits. Harem done correctly, many different fetishes. Very impressive in terms of the ammount of content ( took me dozens of hours, and like 470 ingame days to get to the current end point!).

So why not 5 stars? Well, after the first ~5 hours i haven't gotten a wank out of the game anymore. You know new character number 63345 will eventually fall for you, and i also think it was a big mistake from the dev to go from sex scenes made up of ~5 different poses to 1 singular repeating animation. It's pretty underwelming to see, and a big turn off. Also personally would think pregnancy content would fit really well in the game because you literally spend YEARS in the game, but sadly no. Would have loved to see cute Alice and Scarlet with a big belly!

Still love the game and will keep comming back for the updates. But when i do, i will do so for the story, not for the wank.

4/5 - 8/10 Awesome but sterile!

Surprising a really good game. It's been on my radar for a while now and I gave it a go about two weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the game. The characters are all really fleshed out, display growth through the story, and the overall story itself is pretty good, even if it's not something I strongly focus on.
Only complaint I'd have would be there was a good stretch of story where the POV gets split into two different characters in two different locations and it could get pretty tedious since pretty much all it was was "wait until Tuesday morning and meet ___ in ___" and you'd look at the day and it's Wednesday. The game attempted to bridge this by adding a lot of side things to do which was great, I think I just poorly prioritized the order I did the quests in.
All around a great game, if you haven't played it yet give it a go.

General: Hail Dicktator is a 3D visual novel game with harem and sandbox elements. I don't want to spoiler my review, but overall the game would work at least as well in a "standard" Ren'Py implementation.

Kinks:
The protagonist is male and is building a sex harem of women, more or less masked by the game's story. The main kinks include a large amount of bondage and spanking. Sex is more vanilla with occasional anal action.
The male's dick size is about average in relation to sex games, although I feel like its size sometimes fluctuates in different scenes.

Graphics:
The girls and the renders look non-generic and beautiful. Sadly, the animations during sex/spanking on the contrary appear very short, stiff and unrealistic. It looks like an early 3D game animation where the creator recently discovered the Animation tab in his rendering software. I can't find any improvement during the long and steady development of the game.

Gameplay:
The gameplay focus definitely shifted during the game's development. While at the start a part of the mechanics were those of a hotel management game with sex elements, these mechanics become nearly obsolete at the first ~ 25 % of the game. Also, the game is built on a sandbox map but nearly all action requires specific times and circumstances in order to do something. You're basically following the included and very detailed quest log so that you know what you have to do.
This is one of those games that would benefit from a classic VN Ren'Py implementation.

Other:
In my eyes, and most other critics seem to agree, the story is original, rather compelling and well-thought of.

Conclusion:
I can describe this game as one with an intriguing story and fancy renders but falling short with its wonky animations and unfitting gameplay.

The game has good renders. The girls are all different but attractive. They each have their own personallity. The story is interesting and keeps you entertained. Contentwise there are dozens of hours even if you are a quick reader.

This game is pretty good, I've rated it 5 since it excels far beyond the standard in some areas, however there are other parts that could use improvement. If you measure by sheer volume of content it's easily one of the best on the site, this took me several weeks to complete and more content is still being added. On top of that much of the content is animated with above average looking models and none of the frustrating mechanics other games sometimes include. The game maker knows what your here for, and they give it to you.

That's not to say this game is flawless, while this game does have enormous amounts of content, the quality of that content is not always the best. The models are hot for the most part, though during some animations or in certain scenes they fall into the uncanny valley. Nadia is probably the worst offender due to her extremely pale skin, in certain lighting it acquires a blue tint which sometimes makes her look like a corpse.

The genre of the content is primarily fixated on Bondage and spanking, which is fine, but the lack of variety makes this game feel stale after a while, especially considering how long the game is. The writing is also mediocre at best. Relationships are shallow , the girls fall in love with MC because of his magic dick and disciplinary attitude and 99% of the plot points are somehow resolved with BDSM.

A lot of the girls are also a little too into the BDSM, which kills most of the excitement in my opinion. Take Scarlet for example, she's one of the cutest girls in the game and her whole personality is being this super shy and repressed good girl. In my opinion having her running up to you in every scene asking you to gag her and tie her up not only conflicts with the basis of her character, but it also removes the fun of the whole dominance and submission thing. Dominance and Submission is a process, its an exchange of control and trust. If you aren't dominating her and putting her into a position of controlled discomfort, either mental or physical, then you aren't really dominating her and she's not really submitting. The process is over, the mental/emotional portion of the scene ended before it began and you're just having sex with props. Still hot but it ends up feeling very false and the total lack of concern or nervousness about all of the stuff they do ends up making the characters feel more like dolls than people.

Its a very good game, but its could use some improvements.

I'm not a fan of harem games, I just don't care for them, but this is probably the only one I really liked

In fact, the game is a mixture of hotel management on the island and dating simulator, but management is very conditional and simple, for you can not lose in it and go into the minus, as for the dating simulator, after 1-2 chapters disappears the need to collect points from girls to unlock the scene, which I think is definitely the right decision, farming points was boring

+ Story - Not that I'm interested in it, more like I like the concept itself, but overall not bad

+ Bondage - Bondage is at the heart of the story and there's a lot of it, it's one of the main reasons why I was initially interested in this game and luckily I was more than satisfied

+ Girls - Each of the girls is unique in both appearance and personality and surprisingly I like them all, I don't know how it came about, for we all have our own tastes

+ Overall mood of the game - The more you stay on the island, the more it becomes home to you: pleasant music, sunny serene atmosphere, etc.

The game was more disappointing then I was expecting but I wouldn't say it was a waste of my time. First the game being a sandbox instead of just a standard VN really hurt it imo, trying to get things to trigger is very annoying especially when it say "talk to x" and you go to them but you don't get the option to talk about it. This is because it actually means "talk to x at this certain place". The money is also annoying as it just slows down the very bad start of the game, I absolutely recommend using the money cheat code if you are going to play. As for the start of the game there isnt enough girls to have enough things to do every day, this is remedied at about 10% quest completion when more girls show up and there are more quests for the same girl.

The story I'm having a hard time getting invested in as there are so many things that don't make sense. First you are told there is likely no one left alive that even knows of the island existence and they are wanting to keep the island a secret, so how are we getting guests? Second a girl parents died when she was 8 and has been alone since, how did the friend or foe never see her for 10-12 years and how would she not know the war ended, doesn't make sense. Third there is electronic interference on the island which is why it makes it so hard to find and why you cant just put down a beacon on it to make it easy to navigate to. So how can there be internet? Fourth character can read minds yet doesn't try to read the mind for a password preventing a major incident? Maybe these are answered later but at 20% I'm still as confused as I was when I started.

Now there is a crap ton of scenes in this game I honestly thought I was half way through the game and then saw I only have 10% of the quests done so that is a major plus. However the scenes themselves are stills with at best click through slide shows. So much clicking...

Game is great so far, here are some of my impressions:

-Story: From the start you will realize that this not a story to be taken that "seriously", that being said, It's still enjoyable, engaging and very funny. The developer sure knows how to make a plot interesting. To put it simple as time goes by it gets better and better.

-Writing: The pacing is great and I highly appreciate that writing is not unnecessarily dense like I've seen in many other games (No walls of texts).

-Playability: I like sandbox and management games so that's a Plus for me, however, around 25% of Quest Progression I had already bought/upgraded everything to the max, so the whole management thing became pointless after that. In fact, towards the end I had more than USD 550k I didn't even know what to do with it xD.

-Characters: We get a good MC, and the girls are very well written with interesting personalities all of them, their models are also great, Sarah being my favorite (BTW for some reason the developer decided to fk up her hairstyle xD which was already beautiful luckily he realized and tried to fix that by giving her a new better one IMO nothing like the first one). You kind of get attached to them and so the immersion is there. My congrats.

-Renders/Animations: Renders are great, however, there are no animations during the first half of the game.

-Music/Sounds: There are a few tracks that are better than nothing. It's passable.

- Others: 1)This game is long (around 40 hours I'd say) but it's worth it, It's not boring. 2)Also, the devs need to work on a better Main Menu, no offense but with the current one some people might think this is a shitty game which is completely wrong. 3)Another thing that bothered me: Dude... when navigating through the map Do you really need to put those fkin "SUSCRIBESTAR" "PATREON" ads almost in the middle of the screen, that's annoying and kinda immersion breaking, I think it does more harm than good.

So Overall the game is great so far and barely gets to be a 5-Star (still a 5-star). However, I prefer to rate from 1 to 10 and I think this is an 8.5 game, recommended for everyone, especially for those into Bondage because there are tons of it.

Loads of content if you can be bothered with horrid sandbox (could be replaced by a galery) and random no sex scenes .

There is a lot of content and quality of renders are pretty good. Initial story is interesting, with you becoming a 'lord' of an island. Sounds good right?

Unfortunately everything falls apart when you reach the 'gameplay' stage.

Unnecessary hotel management where you need to grind for money and grind to advance LI's stories.

There is a lot of BDSM which is welcomed, but they often overstay their welcome, as you repeatedly experience the same events with characters, only with slight variations in dialogue.

There is a quest tracker so you know where to go and what to do. Only issue is, that you often need to wait for a specific day to advance those quests. Which means you need to skip several days if you want to advance some girls story.

MC is just a tool to advance the storyline. He lacks character and seems just.. plain.

Overall, this game has a good story idea, but falls short in its implementation.

My second review.

I've been playing thinking to myself "when is it start being good? When is all that time wasted will be rewarded?" The answer seems to be never, after 35%

The story is terrible and poorly written.
The grind is absolutely insane, ranging from an endless fetch quest "Go there, talk to X, buy Y, return Z" over and over and over and over and over and over again.

The sex scenes are tame and boring. There's a lot of emphasis on BDSM though, if it's your cup of tea, may like it more.
No character feels real, from their animations through their actions not even a single character feels like a person or even alive. Extremely poorly written.

Initially there's a grind to acquire money and upgrade the hotel and do the endless fetch quest... After some time, money becomes a non issue.
Guess what, the entire economy could be removed and the game would rather improve a ton. It was waste of time for the sake of it.

I cannot stress enough how tedious, boring, brain dead, poorly written, combined with an endless cycle of go X, then Y, talk to Z, then P, it's the entire game.
Oh also, it's not only that, but often MC has to speak to a specific character, that it's on a specific location, at specific time, at a specific day of the week.
If one event makes time advance too much, bad luck you'll have to repeat next time. So beyond the fact that your entire playtime will be going from point A to B, you'll actually be doing it while reading where, when and whom you need to talk to, again and again and again and again infinitely, that's the gameplay.
Also say you had to speak with character A at location B. Your next step will be to speak again with the same chracter A, at same location B, but on the NEXT day, just for the sake of FU and FU your time. It's insane.
If you cannot stand the first 30 minutes, it WON'T get any better, in fact it gets a lot worse. And no, there's no spicy well written scenes, they're as boring as it possible could be ever made.

The only positive about this game is that the models are gorgeous, but that's it.

Pros:
Hefty amounts of content, high quality renders, decent writing. Definitely an easy visual novel to like if it was implemented as such.

Cons:
Lots of not even really grinding, but straight up forced playtime to unlock things. My least favorite thing in a game is being asked to spend my limited time on Earth being bored to qualify for actually having fun.

You need to incessantly click around to match the copious quest triggers shown on tooltips and grind stats to progress the story. But max stats are tied to specific quests where you have to guess the specific choices or have to rollback and try again, so you can't really grind on your own terms either. It's all railroaded.

So it's effectively a VN. But with the illusion of a sandbox and a heavily inflated playtime while being drip-fed what could otherwise be a very fun experience. I could not bring myself to keep playing after the "15%" mark

HachiGames has consistently delivered an incredible experience with their game. The story is well-crafted, the characters are engaging, and the content is both generous and high-quality. Over the years, the game has been regularly updated, showing clear improvements with each iteration. It's evident that Hachi is dedicated to their craft, putting their all into creating a polished, immersive experience while maintaining excellent communication with the community.

As a player, I’ve enjoyed multiple playthroughs, and each time feels just as rewarding. This game truly deserves recognition, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
