Hi Guys,
Not exactly sure where to post so please feel free to point me in right direction.

So I started this game about 17th century Caribbean, a text based game. But I wont have time to finish it and I would love for someone to continue my "legacy". I have used photos without credits or permission, so it's just templates for now. I just love writing in this era because it gives the character a lot of freedom.
I'm asking if someone is interested in taking over this project, to continue my work?

There is little likelihood of anyone wanting to take over an un-finished project like this.

As I am sure you aware, a developer's personal kinks are possibly unique to them. Anyone with the skills/motivation to take over your game would also be able to make their own game, and that would more perfectly match their interests.

So if you want the efforts you have invested so far to "live on" in the world, just release what you have so far right here (link to an archive on pixeldrain or whatever). Maybe someone will download and get some inspiration. A Pirate era Carribbean text based adult game sounds unique and interesting.

There're not many more painful things in the world than digging through another person's codebase.

If you post something on the forum and say magic words "you can use it under CC0 license" - then that's enough, though, ironically, you would need to prob sign your real name to avoid legal issues.

I know we are talking about a small project, but copyright is a pretty ruthless biz

As luck would have it, I am starting to look into creating a game set in 17th century Carribean as well.

But I have a pretty good idea of the plot and I like writing as well, dialogues and descriptions, creating game settings.

I was looking more for somebody whose fun it is to have ideas on, and create visuals, as I don't want to create a text game; so I guess our stuff overlaps instead of complementing.

It's real porn by the sound of it, though. Makes copyright kind of a moot point here.
