What to say about HHP...

The controls and mechanics are generally pretty bad. For example, there are pop-up windows and things that can appear that have no obvious methods of escape, and obvious ways (at least to me) of escape such as the escape key, will result in all unsaved progress being deleted as the player is thrown to main menu. Things have gotten a little better over like ten builds, but inconsistent documentation, odd mapping, and lack of consistency in usage causes a lot of confusion

The recently added daycare is showing a very terrible power creep AND frustrating mechanic introduction creep and repetition. Daycare enemies take 40+ hits to attack and the incentivized solution is to simply dash past all the enemies. There's VN like dialogue that drags on and on and has to be repeated due to its placement right before many game ending scenes. There's a whole section that has to be taken at like 1/10 normal speed and has incorrect room exits that are seemingly designed to reset progress as much as possible. Things like that

One might be able to upgrade attack power or something, but it seems to cost ridiculous amounts of money and grinding without cheating. Additionally, there seems to be two main ways of melee right now. One requires the player to hold the 'taunt' button to power up for like ten seconds and grants a few power attacks that barely do any more damage than regular attacks and are far slower and don't seem to stun or anything... Or the player can just spam the light attack like 10x faster with no cost, which is basically better in every way

The daycare seems to be a showcase of the worst parts of this game in terms of H, too. You usually either have conventionally very unattractive characters participating in OK H, conventionally attractive characters participating in disgusting or confusing acts, or just disgusting characters doing disgusting things. There's VERY few if any scenes where a hot character H's the MC in a normal way. I mean, if you want to do these niche fetish things, fine, but maybe don't try to go for the combo attacks here? Pick one fetish at a time, don't overlap them to get super-extra-ultra-niche fetishes that appeal to only 0.1% of basement dwelling degenerates? And before I come across as holier than thou here... I've played this game and likely will continue to play it when I'm incredibly down bad, because I'm a impreg addicted sicko

I will say the female MC is pretty well designed and attractive. Male MC is acceptable though kinda weird. There's a few flawed gems in terms of H scenes. Gems because they're rare, flawed because usually some hamplanet or worse will be performing it. I like BBW but there's limits, man. When the person at hand starts to resemble a literal sphere or cube of flesh as opposed to a human, things have gone way too far. But these flawed gems were enough to keep me interested until the latest update

Like, I did like the fat nerd girl in the parking lot of Rodeo Rumbles two framed animated scenes (her others were just confusing and gross as per norm). These scenes are very unconventional for the game but actually good. One is between the two MCs, which the nerd's only participation is dialogue that isn't half bad. The second is between the male MC and the nerd, in which, the camera angle and the depiction of the nerd herself allows for her to go from cartoonishly stumpy and inflated to simply very thicc, and it's not half bad looking, and again, has somewhat accpetable dialogue (at least relative to the rest of the game)

Items seem to randomly disappear and have poor persistence despite the tiring lengths to acquire them. The wand in the daycare for example, which is required to go faster than a snail's pace, requires two puzzle solves and beating a timer of sorts can just randomly disappear for example

There's random political imagery and messages strewn about. I think it's easy to guess what's being pushed. Doesn't effect gameplay too much, but eyerolling isn't exactly sexy

Really this latest update for the daycare was just so so bad and showcased the worst flaws of the game

I'm gonna be clear, this game is very good in its shape, I even did for some years the Patreon, but I must say that it has for me a very big problem.
The updates are very small and too far apart.

So right now, after 6 years and 3 months, it has enough content to let you have fun for a few hours, but like I said, the release schedule is terrible.
So terrible that I will not give any money to the Creator anymore.

This is because between updates 22 and 23, one entire year has passed, and only one Boss fight was released.

Now the Boss fight "seems big", but it isn't, it has recycled content of itself inside (for example, 1 only Gameover for the two characters and one enemy do practically the same thing), and the entire content is... 6 minutes long.
And not let me start from the gameplay/combat of such a Boss fight, it is bad.

Watch, they make with both Patreon and Subscribestar 4,686 dollars every month, and I hoped to see a lot more from this product.
So yeah, the game is good because 6+ years have passed, but incredibly bad because I feel scammed.

Can't wait for the full release. My only issue with the game was the combat, which is pretty stiff and doesn't really work in groups, when every enemy attack makes you go into an animation. There could be regular attacks mixed in as well so it doesn't break the flow of combat that often. That said, everything else is fantastic. The art and characters are great, the animated scenes are great and there are good variety. I highly recommend checking this one out, and if you don't wanna mess around that much with the combat, there's cheat mode where you can buy enough upgrades where the combat becomes pretty easy.

And sadly, creator didn't give us any news about a project or just about his road map, idk hes balls just burn out and he dye or what - and it's be a big minus. But I give that good make platformer a 6 stars :3

There's a vast variety of fetishes here, which is great, but the game is all about its game over hentai states... and without a gallery mode, it becomes an absolute chore to unlock them all as you don't know what you might be missing AND you'd have to play through each area with each character.

I honestly had a better time looking up a video gallery than trying to play this game, since you don't know what you're gonna get when you run into an enemy and let them fuck you.

Happy Heart Panic is a mix between a platformer and a beat 'em up, focusing on contained groups of enemies or even one-on-one battles that features a variety of imaginative levels, high quality animations, decent sound design, niche fetishes, two playable protagonists that can be hot swapped on the fly and usable items that act as powers or weapons.
The game is a step above most other h-games, especially for a Patreon project, and is well worth a couple of hours of playtime, especially if you are into ABDL and musk/scent/light filth play.
4/5 stars.

What you read above are my thoughts in isolation, if I had found this game for the first time today. What you can read below are the vitriolic reflections of someone who is tired of people trying to nickle-and-dime you and finding every which way to excuse laziness.

This game is by now several years in the making. I played the very first version back when the overworld didn't even exist and all you had were two enemies. Most of us assumed that, with the bulk of the project done (that being movement, the animations system, combat mechanics, saving features, etc.) that the rest would come along nicely.
But then the Patreon money began rolling in (or subscribestar or whatever, you get the gist.) Updates slowed down to a crawl, suddenly adding a boss fight and changing the layout of a level was an arduous process that would take half a year. Funny how every indie dev is incredibly competent the less monthly donations they receive. Granted, I don't expect anyone to maintain a breakneck pace for years, but the pace difference is blatant and widespread.

HHP now feels like a game lacking direction, following the helm swings of a caffeinated chimp getting distracted with every new island spotted. A new level is announced, introduced months later, and left incomplete or paired down and wrapped up to make way for the next spur-of-the-moment level the developer wants to work in. That goes for all levels except the ABDL one.
"It's tHeIr gAmE, tHeY CaN Do wHaT-" Shut up, we're all adults here. If the devs want such a heavy focus on ABDL, we'd all rather they get their rocks off first, finish that whole section, and then buckle down to work on the rest. The truth lies in the quiet part. They would lose supporters if they did that.

They reworked the combat system at one point. There are now status effects from what I gather, and a heavier emphasis on Stamina. I swear the invul period after getting hit is shorter too. I find it frustrating. Pick Whispy and take ages fighting from the safe distance of his crowbar, or pick Sam, charge up in a second flat, rush in and demolish everything. No in-between. Was this also a bigger idea that got paired down?

Making games is hard. Ungodly hard. I couldn't make something like this as I barely know some coding and I can't draw for shit. But as it goes, "I don't need to be a pilot; if I see a helicopter stuck in a tree, I can go: Dude fucked up."

an honest blast, full to the brim with lots of animated content and a multitude of fetishes. it's rare that i find a game like this that I truly enjoy, and this just happens to hit a whole lotta my fetishes. im still hopeful they add more to that list, but as far as games go I truly like it.

would be nice to know if in some of the content though thats it's over or if im meant to wait to see more. sometimes that can be a little unclear, that and the continue button on keyboard? but regardless awesome game

Animations are pretty good and there's thankfully a male and female protagonist if you don't want to see the gay stuff.

Gameplay on the other hand is pretty bad. Your stamina (needed for attacking and dashing) drops way too fast. Your health decreases almost as fast, and ways to restore health are extremely limited. You quickly learn that it's better to just dash through and avoid fighting as much as possible.

It also receives updates so slowly that I'm pretty certain the dev is just planning to milk the Patreon bux forever.

dope, wish there would be more content updates instead of reworks but the creator is the goat.. awesome art and being able to choose between 2 characters to explore areas once again to see new shit is hella dope.
pls more updates!

One thing to keep in mind, my first time playing this was today, with Build 21. I have no idea how different combat and movement are compared to previous versions. There's a very long list of comments complaining about the dev's slow and underwhelming updates. I'm completely out of the loop.

One thing that did catch my attention is that the Gallery hasn't been implemented yet. Of all the things you'd expect in a game with possibly 50+ unique animations for each character, this would be something that'd be working after 1 year of development, but here we are, 5 years later, no working gallery. Don't ask me, I don't know why.

Now, as a platformer, it's very so-so, especially combat. Whenever an enemy successfully attacks, you start getting raped and have to mash ← and →. Of course, because just mashing the buttons is too easy, they also consume your stamina, so if you're out of stamina, you have to wait. FUN!!! (not)

Now, I personally despise games where sex is a punishment, but this one has some stuff available that doesn't need you to lose to experience, though it's mostly contained to the saloon. Several game over screens come in 2 or 3 parts and seem to take roughly a minute to advance from one to the next, but there's no way to know how long it takes or whether there are any.

After a game over? Well, either back to main menu or G to get back to the last save point. Oh, and the game doesn't have a pause button, Esc always goes back to the main menu. This makes the lack of a gallery terrible for obvious reasons.

Tremendous game. only one i've gone out of my way to rate. 10/10, looking forward to more soon!

feels kinda like captivity, only with a different combat style and some very hot protagonists!

pretty good game with hot scenes but the updates are underwhelming, if I was a Doggie Bones patreon I would have pulled my money from there a long time ago, the content itself isn't bad and there's things for everyone (and when I mean everyone I mean there's things like Feral/Abld while also having enough straight or gay content) but I don't think the game is good enough after 5 years of developing it, either the scope of the project is too big and they should look into changing it or they should try to press on the gas and see if they can finish the game in a decent time frame from now on (which I think is what is going to happen since the game basically got a gameplay upgrade in this v21 build)
TLDR; If you want a sidescroller with futa/gay/straight/feral/abld content to play through quickly and masturbate you should absolutely download this but don't expect updates to be fast

Took out the ABDL stuff and added in 1! new enemy and a worse combat system can't believe i waited all this time for that waste of effort.

This game is honestly flat out amazing. The amount of lewd content is insane. You got an animation for each enemy (sometimes more), plus a game over scene. Add on that you got two protagonists and you got one of the sexiest combat side-scrolles on here, if not THE sexiest.

The kinks are quite wild and varied, so all the normies who seem to enjoy those awful 3D CG games where some incest NTR is the spiciest thing around might want to stay away from this one.

Besides that, the combat is fun, but also pretty bad. Enemies get this insane invincibility frame that goes on forever, capping your offensive attacks. Plus each enemy just takes chunks off your health away. If you want the hard honest truth, you should play the game with cheats enabled to have a better time.

Superb game with a ton of sex scenes, and a variety of fetishes. The artstyle is really good too. The story is present, but hard to actually find and follow, perhaps in the future after the game is complete, there will be a full story. For cons i could find only the gameplay, that is boring, repetitiveand clancky. Overall the game with great potential

Easily, this is one of the best games in the NSFW category (and I'd even go so far as to say in side scrollers in general across platforms). The details in the art are excellent and new content gets added across all sections for replayability, But where this game truly shines is it's ability to let you play it normally or "one-handed" whenever you choose. My only gripes are wishing for a mid-scene pause and having the text in those scenes stay up a little longer, and maybe adding in an outfit station, but that's barely a reason to complain and this game just keeps getting better with each update. Happy Hearts Panic is absolutely worth your time on any build, but 20 will give you the most options currently. I hope this creator pops off and gets whatever funding they need.

Insanely good. Played it for a ton of times over and over, Doggie really knows how to illustrate this type of stuff. A welcome sign was a return of the goth fox. Loved Happy Heart Hell, and this one overtook even that one, literal masterpiece.

An H game like no other. Tons of animations in regards of different fetishes. Two characters to play as with a bunch of enemies in each level. Play as a (cute (and male)) pink "gothic" fox, or as a blue haired chick with titties. This is one of my top H games and currently my favorite. I can't wait to see more updates

Such a good game standing at 4.2 stars is a crime in my opinion. So many games here are made with Ren'py and weird 3d models with no animations and get 4.5+, which makes no sense to me. The fetishes are niche, obviously, so don't be expecting something the game doesn't promise to do.
That said, I'm not into furry and diaper stuff, so the game isn't exactly my cup of tea, but it is very enjoyable. I love the art, the animations and the different houses with different fetishes. This one is very unique in terms of what you'll find in it, and it's very well made. I hope to see many new levels and enemies in the future!

The gameplay itself is not too hard to grasp, some of the more challenging bosses are fun to try your hand at, especially while you're enjoying the lewdness that goes on in it.
Much like Happy heart Hell which is an rpgmaker game this, made and partially styled the same way artistically is only hampered by the fact that if you're not into the kinks and fetishes it provides you won't be having a good time. That being said though, a lot more work seems to have gone into this one and it shows. 2 protags with their own animations as well as game-over states that connnect the two of them. Pretty good, fun stuff I'd say. Though for specifics check it out yourself.
