Ren'Py - Happy Summer [v0.6.7] [Caizer Games]

Im very curious why the dev decided to start this project and still working on it without giving care to what the community is saying.
Theres nothing good about it, Characters that reminds me of barbie dolls, boring story, no excitement and grindy.
Stay away from this game, do not compare this to his "abandoned" project called My Lovely Sara because its totally different.
This game, if you can call it that is a bad idea.

That's about it.

- Don't like the grind. One moment you could only do one thing, which I did in like 6 times with no variety.
- Don't like the game environment. Disable right click and scroll through history.. Whyy?!

The game is right now most content with Rose. But I'm more interested in the girl in library.

Slow, damn slow updates and little content but characters look unique, sexy and damn great. I think that using those models in interactive 3D game could be possible. Like with unreal engine or unity. Besides that it has great potential but as I said too little content to truly enjoy it and too much grind for my taste.

Edit: Did I say slow updates and little content? Dev made sure to make my words a reality. Not only did he make sure to add as little content as possible per update. He actually made it more annoying to get to said content by adding unnecessary grind to this game to make playing it all the more annoying and uninteresting. With little to no hint how to get to said content. It looks like dev does this game as a hobby in his spare time and gets sick enjoyment from reading comments about how bad is his game and how frustrating it gets to see new updates. Besides nice renders this game offers nothing but frustration, wasted time and blue balls. Nothing worth your time. I personally haven't even played recent update but I just needed to vent my frustration when I saw it's new update. Even when I dreamt about a day this dev abandons this title and forgets about its existance. He still churns out miniscule updates to this grindfest of a "game".

Visually exceptional! Might belong to the cutest art styles ever made, but their free-roam concept looks at least questionable yet like a shop with no goods (v0.1.9). The pace is "low key" and (yeah) I wouldn't want it any other way! Having to watch out for all daily needs a) to stay in the mood and b) to pay the bills, felt like torture after a while.

No need to fret tho, there's still hope! I'll try again later on.

They do good graphics now and on mobile devices, this does not require powerful equipment.
This project is a dummy and an estimate of two and a half stars, this is too much. I think such games and their developers need to be stigmatized.

New to the game played v0.1.9 the game is really small so far but it looks like a good start, images and animations look impressive hopefully it stays like that if it stays good and updates are regular I will sign up through patron

This game makes one of those absolutely unforgivable mistakes, which makes it completely and utterly unplayable to me: This game removes RenPy's normal settings so that you can't skip and can't rollback. What business is it of the developer on how I choose to play my visual novel games? Does it somehow hurt you that I want to skip past your boring dialog? It takes a special kind of self-absorbed developer to think that players MUST play the game they create in the manner they dictate. Especially when it's a DINKY PORN GAME. Forever 1/5 until this is fixed. Wish I could give it 0/5 though.

No, no, no and not again. In my life I have not played a more boring and schematic game, no plot whatsoever and the content of the game is to perform tasks resulting from physiological needs. It's getting worse after every update.
It's a long way to anything in this game, unless it's all that the creator has to offer, yes, it's a waste of time for such a creation

One of the best game here right now. Although the contents are abit slow, the Quality of the story, the Art/Animation,, The Pacing, and the Systems of this game are exceptional. I hope the developer will keep up the good work!

Around 8 months and around 2 nude pics/"scenes" (barging in bathroom). Not worth downloading at present. Not going to say there isn't hope... but it's not lookin good... I'd suggest delaying releases (yes, even beyond how slow it currently is) until actual "content" is included.

the game isnt even able to tell you "hey dude, thats the end for this version." so you wonder around the house untill you disappointedly alt+f4 because nothing changes.
the graphics are solid but thats it.
There is nothing in the game that would suck player into the game...

Don't even spend a single minute on this - it's a repetitive, rewardless, mind-numbing waste of time. You'll be on a stat hunt that leads to nothing - literally nothing. And it will take you HOURS to get there.

I held out hope based on another game from this developer - also incomplete - that Happy Summer would lead to some kind of payoff.

After having to eat, watch TV, pee, bathe and work (these are all separate, mandatory actions that take up game time and serve no other purpose but to annoyingly delay goals, the game 100% does not ever lead to anything you'd look for.

And it's not like the game itself is good. There's zero story. Just actions. Over and over and over.

Ignore the artwork you see posted here. You'll never see it in -game.

PS - there is no way these 5 star reviews are honest. None at all. It's awful.

well unfortunately game becomes boring so soon , have to grind relation so much , events are so boring and repetitive, not so much content and story goes on very slow.
i would give 1/5 but since the renders and characters are so good i give 3/5
this has potential if dev make some changes and adds more content to avoid player being bored.

Do not waste time on this ... mhm I don't know what you are clicking and doing missions without meaning like go to wc, eat food, watch tv zero plot and content about sex scenes forget another update and I don't know what the purpose of this developer is but a waste of time for me

So far this is very promising. The daugther is very cute, the sister (the brunette) much less so, but still, visually the game is awesome, and now it needs more content, but this is no surprise as this is still a 0.1.6 build.
The current events are mostly repeatable stuff from what I can gather, but they are done well as they evolve depending on your relationship with the girl, so even though you might walk on the daugther for the 10th time in the bathroom, it might be more interesting because you are now closer to her . Same event, different execution.
I say... Keep it up .

Many complaints about it developing slow, but the graphics are unique. I hope it will become a multidirectional story and actually hard to seduce type of game.

The developers mentions in the description part that the updates will be monthly, and the content will progress slowly. I think the end-work will be great if people stop complaining about the same issue and making it frustrating for the developers.

It's a grind game. I love this king of games (girls to be corrupted). Models are cartoonish but they looking pretty good. It is still incomplete but maybe in two or three updates will be a great game

Very promising game!
The renders are great, the models are unique and different, not like all the regular daz 3d models, Though I guess it's a matter of taste. It's quite short for now (July 19), but it is promising!

It's honestly far too early to legitimately rate this game with any kind of honesty. There's just too much yet to happen to have any assessment be a fair one. That said, here's what I see so far. This information is current as of version 0.0.9.

All in all, Happy Summer is a simple, fun little game with a lot of potential. With lovable characters, a simple interface, and quality music and art, this title may prove to be a gem in the making.

Listen I like the art and it has a nice innocent charm to it, and I'll admit I haven't played the recent update, but I've played enough grinding games to know one when I've seen em and from what I played its exactly just that. Happy Summer is a grind fest simple as that and I'm afraid it wont get off the ground if it doesn't shift gears! I've played several hours and I do enjoy the game to an extent and I gladly admit that this could have potential here, but unfortunately from all I have played that potential is still bottled up, no sex scenes of any kind from what I played, the only lewdness is when you walk into the show/toilet and you accidentally peek in that's it you repeat every action raising points to level up, but it leads nowhere, nothing of worth yet. Yes the Game is relatively new but so many "new games" get a free pass on that excuse alone if sexual content was a priority we would already have something sustainable. Ive seen too many damn game creators slinging artistic build up with the same old line and usally bullshit, that ultimately leads to nowhere. Till the day we gain quality sexual content, and story with meaningful events I will gladly change my opinion and review but until that day comes I'm not falling for another grindefest with out any reward or payout.
