RPGM - Harem Collector [v0.56.1] [Bad Kitty Games]

This is a great GAME, not necessarily a porn game, but an old school classic nonetheless.
Revisiting this in version 0.56.1 is like revisiting Baldurs Gate II, it still absolutely rocks. The game is far from finished, and its doubtful if it'll get finished any time soon, that said it has over 49 hours of playtime in game already.

Pros:
- Fun gameplay
- Entertaining dialogues and quests
- Charming companions and a god awful MC, who kinda evolves over time.
- Large and interesting world to explore.


Cons:
- A bit buttonmashy, but such is the RPGM way
- Lewds are short and far from all scenes have accompanying pictures.
- Still being worked on (?....)

Overall: A very good game, with a central lewd theme and some fun twists along the way.

Caveat: The five stars I've given this game is not because the game is perfect, but because it is one of the best RPGMs out there.

Despite all the time that has passed the game has remained almost unchanged, they have added new things but the old errors have remained even though years have passed.
Some scenes still have black screen, some npc characters don't have correct face.
The game has aged badly.
I remember years ago I was very satisfied with the game, now unfortunately I didn't like it at all.
The game is not to be thrown away, it doesn't deserve a star but not even 3/5, it's been around for too long now and the updates don't add / fix much.
A shame since it's a funny game and the characters are good.
Not recommended.

This game is excellent, one of the first RPGM games i fully invested my time in. It is great in terms of quality. content, and posibilities. The story is enjoyable and fun while you enjoy the world and its hidden easter eggs going through.

The good:

This is a game heavily-inspired by the Rance series, the MC is a complete bastard, a slave-owning kidnapping rapist with several villain monologues. If you're not put off by that it's done very well, just the right bit of immaturity that you want to see in a light-hearted porn game.
They use the term "hyper weapon" from time to time.

The "story" is mostly told through shorter quests, bite-sized adventures that make a point to be funny and light-hearted. In one quest you're raiding a convention center to find someone who will repair your clockwork doll girl, in another you're seducing a noblewoman at her birthday party, exploring for clues so that your can romance her and eventually get caught fucking her to hurt her reputation.

I have yet to finish the game, but I am aware that I've only collected half of the girls in the game right now. From what I can tell on the wiki there's roughly ~30 and they're shooting for 151. A lot of time has been spent working on this, and there's a lot of content, even if they're not technically finished with it.

The bad:

The art is certainly okay, it's not bad, and for an RPGM game it should really be praised for 2DCG at all, but it's not my cup of tea, and it's not finished either.
You can turn off 3DCG art at the start of the game, but it is all the art that exists for most scenes, something that's slowly being changed.
I'm not sure what program they used, Miku Miku Dance or something? It's not great.
Personally I just turn it off and play some scenes like a text-based game, which it's not bad at.

Performance can, at times, be rough. I've tested this on two computers, one with an RTX 2080 and another with a 1650, neither should have problems with framerate, both do. Walking in a town has the game struggling pretty hard, but it's not so bad to make it unplayable.

It's been in development for so long that a trained eye can actually see how changes in English H-game development through the years, all through one game.

Its not the best, I personally hate 50% of the cast. But god damn, you can't knock the effort.

the game have some "dark" theme like rape but in the ed most relation end with romance with the main character

I've followed this game for years and just when I think its dead and I've played through it for the last time two weeks later they drop a new update I really should stop deleting it at this point but fuck it 10th play through here I come!

ive played through the game more than once its fairly good but i find it hard to progress the whole game without rebirthing as the difficulty scales up fast

also i feel like the game isnt getting as much love from its developers as it used to since they already were only doing a small patch once every 2 months or so and its already been much longer than that with nothing

The game is very rpg quest-like, More than the other RPGM games.

What I like:
The game world feels very vast and unique with different storylines all around the place. You can get quests sometimes by just interacting with the characters you haven't met.

Variety of characters to interact with. You can certainly find your type of girl in this game.

The community is very friendly and will do its best to help you out if you get stuck anywhere in the game.

What I don't like:
While there are very vast and different storylines, they are very small in length would be a bit better if the quests had more stories for the LI(Still very good tho).

I still yearn for more than one picture in the sex scenes. You go to 7 different places in the game and it all ends with just one or two pictures of the sex scene.

As someone who prefers RPG's to VN's this is the best game on the site for me. Exellent writing and good pacing/not grindy. I was hesitant at first because of the preview images, but they dont the game justice, and they are getting replaced with 2D images anyway. You should play it

Highly recommended, if you have RPGM save editor, I say this because the grinding in this is slow as hell and my only real gripe is resolved with it.

First, the good:
1) While they're not all done, the 2D art is shocking good, like the guy who doing it is not being paid nearly enough for how good it is.
2) The current harem cast are all varied and unique, (note: the protagonist is basically Rance without being a Complete scumbag)
3) A lot of the dialogue is really well written, especially the fairy's, every fairy's dialogue is great, there are good meta and banter lines with the MC and most quests are real funny.
4) The support for this game is amazing, get stuck in a quest. The wiki has you covered.

The Meh:
The 3DCG, they definitely feel like placeholders even though they aren't, like they're good enough to satisfy and that's basically it, though it makes feel like you cant wait for all the 3DCG to be replaced.

The Gripe:
My major gripe with the game is, its "Time System" where a day only passes after major quests, and that's maddening when passing time is the only thing that:
- Gets you more money
- Fixes/improves the manor
- Improves the harem's happiness, so you can get more quests and dialogue
- and changes the weather so you don't get soft-locked out of quests
The biggest (and only) way to mediate this is with the "time turner" item that lets you immediately move forward a day no matter what, but you can only have in easy mode, and that's just maddening, so basically when you run out of quests. your done, you have to talk to the NG+ fairy, its upsetting that THIS is my only real gripe, when its so easily fixed.

-Also the combat, even at max level with the best gear, the tanker enemy's are a real pain in the ass (on normal difficulty)

This honestly deserves more praise. Tons of references to other media make the game fun to play while you get to the sex scenes. Its very funny at times, and generally enjoy the combat. I cannot wait for this to be done, and have been playing its updates for a while now. Will probably start a fresh new game once it is all the way done.

One of the most underrated games on this site.

It's RPG Maker, but it's actually a no-shit RPG-- not just a porn game that uses RPGM maps as a horrible way of selecting the next girl to visit. The porn is pretty good, the world-building is second only to Sierra Lee's stuff, and it's actually a lot of fun to play as well as being reasonably fappable.

This is definitely a game that deserves more support than it is currently getting.

great troupe, you are the asshole hero mc , its fun and grind is good though I cheated a little like adding potions and gold.

It has great amount of content.

I won't really complain about some girls not really liking mc stuff, he's an asshole after all , it makes sense. It a nice and fun change.

Honestly one of the greatest games I've ever played. I find myself returning to it each year to check out the updates and keep being impressed with what has been added, I can't wait to see what it will be like when complete.

Giving it a 1 would be unfair as I haven't nearly gotten anywhere in the game. The level design was so repelling that I have spent half an hour to an hour pulling my hair out trying to figure out where to exactly go. After I had been there and couldn't find it again. With basic art and no initial hook, I couldn't push myself to continue.

Perhaps one day I get myself to try it again, likely with a walkthrough in case the level design remains the same throughout.

I like rpg harem games.
I like rpg games, that customizes the house and you can buy things for the house.
I like rpg games that has a system of buying slaves and customizes them.
I like the fact that the the girls gathered can be playable and has unique personalities and stories.
I like the managing system.

This is a great game and it has great writing. It contains In-depth combat, at least 40h of story with very little required grinding. This Game clearly deserves more love around here. The large amount of Girls you can get in this game is also very impressive and they all have fun characters to boot.

Loads of stuff to do and its well in balance. I've encountered a few bugs but nothing game breaking nor stuff that'll make you lose interest. The cake is sorta so-so and pretty much the weakest part of the game.
