Ren'Py - Abandoned - Harem Resort [v0.11a] [ZL-Games]

The good thing about this game is that it delivers what it promises: A little more than Nothing.

Doesnt try to be funny, i guess, or visually impecable, which it isnt. But neither tries to be playable, so there is not much to play, the game is short and i dont know if it will continue, or if its worth if it does.

The game has a sandbox approach i the a navigation system that is the opposite of user friednly. I think that a text navigation is the worst idea when you have to grind scenes.

The only good thing about the game is Milly, but it is wasted here.

I don't know if the developer is not a native english speaker, but the dialog, and text in general, is so bad that I couldn't get past the opening scene. Would really recommend getting another pair of eyes on the writing. And the protagonist is so spineless I wanted to kill myself rather than let him continue.

Not really feeling it with this one. Renders are decent, but the interface is clunky. Doesn't have the natural features that most games have, such as ability to skip through dialog. Conversations take twice as long to get through. After reading, one expects a click to take you to the very next line of dialog (as with Renpy, etc), but often everything clears and you have to wait for a picture to load before the next bit of dialog is shown. I've played the game before and was trying to give the game a second chance. However, dealing with the intro character, I couldn't stand the dialog delays and gave up. I doubt I'll give this one another chance.

This Review is based with my personal experience with the actual Version of the game 0.6 with my specific opinions and feelings .

Harem Resort is a non linear sandbox game based and story it's about what can happen in a “special “ Resort . In this special and lustful place you will learn how to know all the girls , how to interact with them , how to seduce and have sex with them ;there are full of different location where you can have so many different situations. Naturally like I wrote before this is a sand box game , so all the situation progress depending from the action of the protagonist , but the grinding it's with last releases really low ;The game is in constantly updating and the developers has clear idea how must be the correct road to improve every time is game.

Pros:
-Story and Writing : I don't agree with other reviews that write that there is no story or is basic game ; it's completely the opposite , because only during the playing ,all girls will give you all information about them,to build a complete background for every character . Especially the developer improved a lot the writing and the grammar with the help on his team of a English mother language that corrected a lot of some previous errors.
-There are full of different Locations : girl's room , beach , restaurant ,reception , to enjoy and have a plenty of different interactions
-The way how the Developer build the gameplay , made a true big difference with the other sandbox games , because you can freely move all around the different locations and interact with the girls at your own rhythm and with your personal feeling
-Girls are gorgeous hot an sexy , you can choose with so many different girls ; if you are big boobs lover , this is the perfect game to play and to like ; all woman , are completely different , in background , in sex behavior and relations ; so many available achievements and content for the major part of girls. the player will have a vastness of incredible choices in this game
- Animations and Renders are very hot and exciting , full of different sex scenes and details ; here I must make my compliment to developer , I remember his first release and just in a few months he improved his graphics skills so so much ...

Neutral :
-Grinding , in my opinion is absolutely perfect , but if you tired previous version try please the last one , where developer fixed this small problem and actually game it's absolutely less repetitive to play

Cons
-Some girls lacks of some contents , but this is a provisional thing , because this game it's not completed and the Dev make usually solid updates with new contents for all characters
-Actually there is no music and sound in the game but like I wrote before , this is not yet a completed game so I hope for the future it will be added something

Overall this is absolutely a game worth to play , 5 stars review.
A game not only for people that like sandbox game or gorgeous sexy girls with big tits , but for all players that enjoy to play adult games. For all players that enjoy when a product it's made with love , full of contents , details . Because immediately when a player begins to play , he feels the great work of the Developer , in all his things , from the smallest detail . Maybe somebody will not like the sandbox genre and maybe could prefer the Visual Novel style gaming , but everybody will understand how Harem Hotel is a solid and passionate game , immediately recognizing that the Developer , Zl is creating this opera with a hard work , professionalism , inspiration , but especially with a big big love, but not secondary , he makes solid updates in a constant way and in a really small frame of time.
My suggestion is to support and pledge the developer without any kind of doubts

While the core elements have some vague semblance of promise, the game as of version .6 is almost unplayabllu bad. Between poor quality renders (developer needs to learn how to proper use lights in Daz3d, details are super dark and you can't see what's going on), and grindy play, the game is currently and altogether miserable experience. However, there is enough good at the core, that I could see it being worthwhile if effort was made to address it's issues.

sandbox games are way more fun for me than simple VN's - this is a little bare on the content but it's expected for an early release.

I feel the poor reviews were from people expecting more content which can't be realistic this early in development. can't wait to see what the dev brings and good stuff so far.

I got nothin outta this one.

Art's unremarkable and uninspired. The tits look like tits, so good job there.

The writing is bad. Plot is bad. Narrative is bad, contrived, poorly executed and has no weight. Characterization is nonexistant.

Porn's dull.

damn this "game" is boring there is nothing to do.
renders are ok but there is nothing else you go to breakfast talk to girl go to reception talk to girl and do this 50 time or more and maybe you can see some tits if you LOVE grind this is a "game" for you otherwise jus press ignore

This is fantastic! Maybe I'm a bit exaggerating but it fills the void in a niche. We don't get many resort management games with that level of artistic quality. I didn't see any bad renders and the English is decent. It's a fun game...
Updated review: it's a decent resort management but it lacks in the character progression department... it feels like we haven't reached anything. It's like a beautiful museum with no art exibits nor tour guide.
