Having problems downloading

When im downloading games the size is always doubled or tripled the original size, I downloaded a compressed game of 2gb size and i had 5gb space on my phone yet when the download was finished i was left with less than 500mb. What do i do to fix this?

The problem of the size starts during the download not during decompression also if i had space of less than 500mb you think i can decompress?

You might to check you're only downloading the version you want, some devs put the PC, Mac and Android files behind a single link making it easy to download all 3 if you're not paying attention
