Hello Good People! I need some insight...

Hi, i'll go straight to the point. I'm currently making a VN in Ren'py and i'm using daz3d to make render the art, that means it's going to look realistic.

My idea is similar to "Insexual Awakening", MC is young and has consensual sexual intercourse with his mom. He does have a sister who's about the same age, but i haven't added any sexual content involving her(not sure i will).

The thing is, with itch.io having a problem recently i don't know is this would be allowed there even if i say the characters are above 18, the visuals might throw people off. No extreme fetishes, maybe some public action, some feet, but that's it!

To make it clear is REALLY like Insexual Awakening, that game was removed once so i thought this might not stay here if i posted it. Is it okay for a game like this to be posted here?

If i don't get a straight answer, i'll post it and wait for mods to check. I jast wanted to be sure before spending too much time working in this game, cause i don't know any other platform where i can at least advertise it(if you know please tell me). Thanks in advance.

It will violate itch.io rules. Saying "characters are over 18" doesn't mean anything. Not at all. It's not binding. It's not a legal statement. It's ephemeral. In the end, it's about the character's appearance:

If a character looks under 18 in sexual situations (even if they are a 1000 year old vampire), it's against the rules.
If a character is presented as under 18 (appearance is questionable, or even looks adult --- but the narrative/dialogue says they are under 18), it is against the rules.

Same with Patreon. Same with Subscribestar. Same with Steam. Same with nearly any funding site or retail platform that uses credit cards and/or Paypal and/or Stripe and/or similar services.

To let you know, this has been answered dozens, if not over 100 times, on this site. Doing a quick search would have answered your question.

Now, all that said - yes, there are developers on those sites which do violate the rules of the sites they are on. They will get caught. Eventually. Maybe not in the first week, first month, first year, first decade... but eventually. Even if they are a top 10 adult game developer on the funding platform, they will get action against them in some way. Patreon is the most active in enforcing its rules, Steam would likely be next, while Itch and Subscribestar are on the lower end of enforcement for various reasons.

Sorry about this but i'm new to making games and interacting with forums and sites like this, i want to find a way to make this game work.

I may have come out wrong by using Insexual Awakening as an example. What if i change the MC to a 18yo character AND make sure he looks like an 18yo? Are these platforms(except Patreon probably) okay with incest in general?

Also it would be the mom(47) and the son(18) ONLY. He has a sister but i never intended to make any sexual content with her. She's just a part of the story.

Would that change anything?

Incest is against Patreon rules. Implied incest is against their rules. step-incest is against their rules. Same with several other funding platforms and retail sites. Go check the rules I linked to earlier:
