Hello everyone, and welcome to my presentation!

I'm 27 years old, I live in Europe (French side) and I'm in the middle of a professional transition. As a result, I'm learning computer science (especially web development).

And for some time now I've had the idea of creating a game for adults. But as I only know html/css javascript & php, there aren't many game styles I can make.

I know that Renp'y games use Python, but why not learn one day, and then maybe create a game?
Idk.

Thanks. Have a nice day!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
And don't worry, I'll only speak French in the French threads, hehe.

And as for the project, it's still a long way off, I haven't yet started self-taught, maybe early 2025, we'll see

Hey welcome! Considering that you have previous knowledge with coding languages, learning Ren'py will be a breeze ;)

Oh yes, totally, everyone told me that, that Python was “easy”.
But I prefer to start with web development, because it's “easy” to get projects and maybe a job, especially in my country, where there are no Python jobs. Only web development, java and .net kekw.

I'd like to learn Python, but not at the moment.
If I want to learn Python, I can learn it, it's not really a problem.

Wow really? It's the opposite over here, in the States. Web development is completely overstatuated here and there are more people looking for jobs than the jobs itself.

A bit the same here, I see job offers with more than 50 candidates, but that's okay.

Then I live in a town where it's pretty full of stores and most of them don't have a website, so it should go quickly hehe.

Ah, I didn't think there'd be fewer web jobs in the States.
