Daz Help me identify more assets please.

I'm opening another scene and have a hard time finding the missing assets.
These are the assets that I've installed but looks like I'm missing an addon to it that I can't find.

I've installed `Boho Short Outfit Textures` and `Boho Chic Textures for dForce Feelin It G8F` to no avail.

I'm sure you've tried, but did you make sure the paths match what's shown? Double check them, and if they don't exist, then make the paths and put the missing files into it/them.

From what I can see, there are textures, with the close names, in the right folders, but none of them have those `2048x2048` `1024x1024` `512x512` `256x256` in the name, and that seems to be most of the cases.

Except for messy hair, it seems like I'm missing a texture pack for it that I can't find anywhere. Or can't find the name of.

File sizes in the file names aren't super common in Daz assets, at least in more modern ones. Think I've seen some really old non-Daz Store assets do it, but they're pretty far and few between. Your average asset will usually name the asset and then offer colors and other maps.



If file paths are correct, and the names are similar without the dimensions of the textures, the immediate guess for me is that you might've used Scene Optimizer (or some such plugin) to crunch textures and they got saved to a temp folder. Which likely got deleted when Daz was closed.

Regardless of whether or not that's the case, there's two fairly easy options. You can re-add the clothes and run scene optimizer again. Probably the fastest. Or you can run XnConvert on the listed base images (to compress to ideal size. e.g. 4096 x 4096 > 2048 x 2048, etc.), rename them with the file name Daz is looking for, and then add them to folder path being given by Daz.

That was my guess too, I was thinking maybe the artist that gave me the scene files used some plugin that did this. I'll have to ask him.

Ah, yeah. If it came from another artist, that's definitely possible.

100% those filenames are the scene optimizer created versions of the large original textures.
If you install scene optimizer then it would be simple to recreate the smaller images.
