Help on Mac and file fractioning

I have a doubt that consumes my life (well no, tie that point, but)
The question is for Mac users or people who know about this topic.

I can split a file for Mac.

the question is that I have not managed to upload the file of my visual novel for Mac (due to the speed of turtle lame, my internet)

so the only way to do that would be to split the file with winrar. but I do not know if this is functional for Mac.
