I'm not a dev, i just have a question. I have always been able to open all renpy game files (like the script) in notepad and edit them. But now for some reason every one i open have symbols and other characters and doesnt show the actual script anymore. Even ones that i have already altered in the past. What happened? Why are the files like this now? i tried taking ownership, using renpy, notepad++, and decompiling but the weird symbols are still there no matter what i do.
Here is an example of what i mean. It all looks like this now instead of just plain text like it used to be.
