This is my first time writing a review for a visual novel. Yet this is one of the few that captured my heart within the first few minutes. Yes, it can be convoluted, yes there may be plot holes, yet few other visual novels capture you into its world like this one does. It has excellent humor and each side character feels alive and real and you end up getting attached to most of them by the end. If you can get past the very ... interesting dialogue that qruppo likes to use then this is definitely worth your time to play.

i made a whole ass account to say that this is simply the best game i have played on this site.

while it was the art style that initially attracted me, i found that the game was much more than just hentai.

extremely recommended if you have the patience with the plot, the characters and the buildup since it is a long game by all means, but not if you're just looking for a quick gooning session.

the story is incredibly fleshed out and the read is definitely rewarding. 10/10

This is the best Visual Novel I have ever played. The story is good, decent pacing, and a comedic style that I really enjoy.

But what elevates this Visual Novel is the undoubtedly AMAZING visual direction. Its the only VN that ever made me feel like I was watching a movie. I've never been so invested into certain plotlines.

On top of the direction, the characters are extremely lovable and well written. The decent plot really complemented the amazing cast.


The only downside is the H-scenes were not that great. They were funny, but not arousing. It also takes a long time to hit a H-scene. I would reccommend playing this game only for the comedy, story, and well loved characters.

I would highly reccommend this Visual Novel to any first time readers. to me, this is the future of the medium.

I think it's a controversial game, and I've considered giving it 3 or even 2 stars, but when really evaluating the game, I'm willing to give it a 4-star rating.
First of all, I don't think this is a porn game in the traditional sense, there are very few sex scenes in the game, which is about the same as none; On the contrary, there are several huge texts, and people who are unwilling to read and understand the plot should not be able to play it at all. As a game, players cannot change the flow of the game at all (except for choosing missions), in other words, there is no gameplay at all. The whole game is really just a visual novel, or comic-like, where you look at pictures and read the text.
Secondly, due to the unique theme of "Hentai Prison", the atmosphere and language in the early game are very oppressive and violent, which is not easy for new players to accept.
As for the reason why it received 4 stars, it is entirely thanks to its text. The plot of this work is rich and unique, the various contradictions are very distinct, and some reversals are also surprising. The characterization of the protagonist and supporting characters is also very full, especially the male protagonist, which is rare. The UI interface is also very exquisite, and you can see that the production team has made it with heart.
Of course, the shortcomings are also obvious, for many contradictions, the solution of the protagonist group seems to me like child's play, not reliable and rigorous, emphasizing novelty while losing shock, it seems anticlimactic. In addition, there is really too little CG, who will make up for the Noah piece I am missing (crying).
That's it for the evaluation, if you are a person who likes to read and focus on the plot, I recommend you to review this game. On the contrary, if you just want to find a picture to satisfy your desires, you can say goodbye to this game.

PEAK PRISON
This game is so well made and the efforts in this games is just crazy, like the voice-acting were pretty professional, it felt like a sin to play this for free. (Not your average porno game in this site.)
The characters are pretty well-written. The designs are Top-tier
Story is too well-written, and felt like a nice chess game in the 2nd half
The protagonist is a mix of wierdo but with great deductive skills, i love this goofy guy
The Antagonist? 10/10
The Li are Unique and have deeper romantic/slightly erotic writing than most of the H-games. (js done with taeka route for now)

Extremely bizarre game. The writing/story is long as hell and despite all the crass dialogue sounding like a 13 year old wrote it, the over arching plot line has surprising depth to it.

Don't play this to fap, 99% of the sex scenes are stuck near the end of each route and took days of reading to reach each one.

Shout out to the amazing voice acting as well, it makes me laugh knowing professional women were paid to say the dumbest shit with a straight face.

Really funny for a VN. The only downside I found was that for its length the H scenes were few and far inbetween. They really could have added a few more but I suppose you get what you pay for (nothing)

Play knowing that you don't have any agency in the story at all. Just experience it and you'll feel like you played something worth it. The game is fully voiced (except for the MC) which helps with immersions. The story is well paced and lengthy. Just as the other reviews on this site warns, this game doesn't have large quantities of h-content albeit its name. However, it still feels memorable and worth a try. The only downside for me is the MC, as he is a idiot most of the time and I can't get behind some his decisions. During my playthrough it sometimes made me laugh at his stupidity sometimes.

Do not play if you're looking to fap. Just don't. Stay normal.

Don't be like me and enjoy learning a girl doesn't have a gag reflex because of a plot point and having that be relevant in ONE scene 30 hours later. I'm a freak. I'm lost forever.

But if you too are already too far gone, this hits and it hits hard. Very well written and it's entertaining enough and that's really all that matters. The setting is too unrealistic to be "high media" but who the fuck cares?

Bottom line; this isn't porn. It's a story without porn that you can come back to when you're horny. You order fast food, you get the food- and then it's kinda nice to use the plastic disposable utensils that come with if you don't feel like doing the dishes.

It's ok to pass on this if all you need a good steak knife.

It's not ok to look at this and say "what the fuck? I don't want this food and this knife isn't going to cut my steak!" There shouldn't need to be a tag [x] unavoidable NaRraTive for people like you. Who the fuck orders Door Dash for the cutlery?

I am not a VN connoisseur and have only read a handful of VNs as this review.
This the longest VN i have read at the moment roughly 60 hours according to VNDB but surprisingly it hardly felt boring throughout and the story is well paced and doesn't drag on despite the long runtime. The characters feel so surreal you could felt the hardship they go through, and each route ending is just so good especially grand route brought out so much emotions in my ugly ass soul.

Although the VN featured multiple endings there isn't even a single dialogue choices, instead a clear route selection at the end of chapter 8, three routes 1 for each girl and a grand route after completed all 3 girls.
About the porn content, there are 20+ scene total which amounts to 2 to 3 hrs of runtime. Now if you did the math that was like only 1/20 of the whole game and let me tell you a lot of it weren't even sexy, an example is they mixed a lil comedy element into some of the sex scene, clearly the porn is not the main focus. Not that I'm complaining about it, I knew what I am getting into after all.

If you like a great story and doesn't mind the bad porn at all, yeah you know what to do.

This game reminds me so much of the nope nope nurses as a whole, with the difference that it brings the humiliation and psychological harrasment to even higher levels. It's like the developer's whole focus was on making the MC's life in the prison more miserable. At the same time it shows his mental strenght and the ability to accept the reality and the situation he's in, which keep his sanity and even his life.
- The MC himself is a cool and honest guy, but also daring and courageous when is required. Playing through him, you experience all these emotions of anger, feeling of betrayal, sympathy for his troubles, and disgust towards others by their nature or acts. The creators did a great job at depicting all of that, as honestly i can't even remember a moment that made me laugh. The vibe during almost the whole game is so dark, even when it looks like the things have settled, something again pops up.

One thing is certain: The hot scenes weren't priority for the developers.
For such a lenghty game, which would take anywhere from 30-50 hours, depending on your reading speed and which girl's route you choose, i'd say those scenes are fairly cut in numbers.
Not only that, but they would come in the last 5% of the game, in the very end. It confuses me a little, it's created as a hentai game, but the focus is elsewhere.
Any kind of sexual acts is highly forbidden in the prison, i guess the developers were part of the prison staff themselves!
To me it just felt like a missed opportunity. Even more in such enviroment they would have been way more special, than in the ordinary hentai game.

I have been lurking on this site for more than 6 years by now. I can count with one hand the number of games that have managed to grasp my heart and mind while taking my on an entertaining, fun, dramatic and captivating ride.

HenPri is one of these games. So out of the norm regarding story, characters and narrative that it could easily be a book and get away with it, and a damn impressive one at that. This thing has me pausing the playthrough halfway through a scene just to ponder or laugh at what is happening. Taking out the sex scenes literally changes nothing about the sheer quality this game has. I wholeheartedly recommend playing this to any user on this site. Even if you are here to fap. The place where HenPri's story takes place is so repetitive about sex, and sexual deviants that it fades to the background, shining the spotlight on the protagonist's and main character's goals and stories.

Give this game a try.

TL/DR: Hot damn they were right, this is a good VN, might be someone's favorite.

I am a skeptic.

I discounted it, and why not? The circles previous work, the Nukitashi series, was a resounding eh for me. Funny enough, and some interesting world-building, but couldn't mesh with what was being presented. I digress, this isn't a Nukitashi review, I simply want to convey that I was interminably doubtful of the reviews HENPRI was garnering.

I am also a fool.

HENPRI approaches its setting with unabashed clarity, sincerity, and cleverness. It is as funny as it is endearing, as goofy as it is engrossing. It has been a good long while since I've enjoyed a VN to a capacity such as this, and was more than willing to sink the many many hours it took to experience all the routes.

Yes, it is weird. Yes, it is largely kinetic. I won't spoil anything, but if you've read the synopsis and went "that seems interesting," give this a chance. Lend HENPRI some leeway and at least see if the world can hook you. If you vibe with the goofy, I can see this being a top 3 VN for alot of visual novel fans.

For me, I had a blast.

EDIT: This is not a nukige, despite its setting. There is sparse H-content, and should not be approached with the hehe sexy time mindset. Go in with the intention of enjoying the story and characters.
Honestly I don't think the game needed H scenes.

Do be warned this is a fairly lengthy visual novel and most the sexual content will be after many hours of reading. While the scenes are good, there's only a handful for each of the main girls and the primary focus is the story.

Writing is absolute fire. I binged the entire common route in a single sitting and forgot to eat. Story is ridiculous, hilarious, and moving at the same time somehow.

I cannot praise this enough, possibly the best VN I have read in a decade and had me audibly laughing constantly. Even without the porn this is a 5/5 experience.

It is extremely difficult to describe how this game almost doesn't belong on this site. This isn't so much a porn game, as an extremely high budget adult thriller. It has rather deep insights in to the mentality of 'perverts.' It's very humanizing and threw me for a loop.

Not a good fap game unless you're a masochist. A fantastic novel to read overall.

Came to fap , stayed for story.
Hentai prison does not have much fap material , almost paradoxically.
However there is a lot of sex humor ,comical moments and story is not bad at all.
I haven't laughed so much while playing a game for a long time.
It is also very long game with multiple routes with different stories.
Not only it is funny , there is also many educational material that can both educate and entertain you.

This is a Visual Novel for people who enjoy a fun story. Qruppo has managed to once again provide an entertaining nonsensical story with interesting characters and an unrealistic world. It is quite long so don't play if you don't have the patience. I highly recommend for those trying to read a story.

HOWEVER

This is absolutely horrible in terms of eroticism. Contrary to its name, there are in fact very few H-scenes (around 3-4 per girl iirc), and each scene is around 4-5 minutes long. Do not play this if you're looking to jack off. I feel like the devs added it not because they wanted to but because they had to.
