It apparently works, some people actually buy into it, as sad as it sounds. Doesn't help that some uploaders here upload every fucking slop game that they find rotting on the side of the road, it's like they get paid per game upload or something...

I really didn't want to filter out the AI cg tag, because I actually believe games can make good use of it, but man, maybe I should just give up

Yep. My thoughts too... In the beginning it was nice to see some new unique styles that AI produced, but now it's always the same.

It's always some off-proportion, fat thigh, burger nippled 20 something year old with a shit eating grin to boot. I'm filtering out the tag since, I can't stand to see the same LoRA model again... It's the same style every single time. Whether people buy into it or not, is their choice I guess - I mean, people bought Starfield.

AND defended Starfield.

Just further confirming the point that, well, shit sells as well as sex. I guess.

(I'm not saying this game specifically is shit. For anyone who feels the need to report... I'm saying that shit in general, sells).

And the people doing these AI images didnt even bother with things like bokeh, or focal length or making the characters look in other direction than looking into the camera, and that is why every picture looks the same, and lifeless. They dont use any unique styling, they dont use more than 2 or 3 facial expressions. You can do very nice stuff with AI if you put time getting to know the tool.

Yup. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a reasonable story or gameplay behind it, but cheap games, with cheaper art seems to be the norm these days.
