Like I said, it’s easy to criticize and judge from the observer’s point of view. XD
If the characters didn’t make decisions that might seem illogical or stupid to others, then we wouldn’t have a story to tell. XD
I don't even really have a problem with any of the decisions any of the characters made. This is a porn game, after all. My actual issue, ultimately, is the general lack of a proper story. HC3 dropped little nuggets of plot every three or four updates and now it's all come together and it just doesn't feel like there's enough there to build to an adequate climax. The women don't deserve redemption because they haven't been given enough development outside of their corruption. That's my actual problem. Every improvement N_Taii made has ultimately just rolled back around to the problems HC1 and 2 had... N_Taii can write corruption pretty damn well, but he's nowhere near as good with plot.

I think you’re looking at the situation from a perspective that’s way too rigid, as if every path is already sealed and tragedy is the only possible destination. But HC3—just like HC1 and HC2—has never been a deterministic narrative. Its core is human degradation, yes, but also the possibility of breaking it.

And that’s why I disagree with the idea that “a good ending would be impossible unless it’s contrived.”
Actually, the themes of HC3 make a good ending not just possible but coherent.

Let me break it down:

1. HC3 isn’t about proving people are irredeemable

N_Taii writes corruption, but he also writes guilt, shame, responsibility, and regret. If the message were “no one can come back,” then redemption routes simply wouldn’t exist—yet the narrative clearly sets them up:
  • Rose is acting from trauma and emotional dissonance, not pure malice.
  • Cyanna is driven by guilt, not cruelty.
  • Haylen falls because of emotional weakness, not sadism.
  • Lily is ruled by pride, not evil.
Characters who fall because they’re weak—not because they’re monsters—are exactly the ones stories redeem.

2. This isn’t different from major dramas like Game of Thrones

People love to cite Game of Thrones as a “dark and unforgiving” story, but even it shows that:
  • Characters who fall can rise again.
  • Trauma-driven decisions can be reversed.
  • Redemption is earned through pain, not erased by it.
Think about Theon Greyjoy:
He commits unforgivable acts, betrays the Starks, tortures innocents, and falls deeper than almost anyone else.
Yet when he finally confronts his guilt and trauma, the narrative not only allows him redemption—it demands it for emotional payoff.

HC3 follows the same structure:
The fall must be deep so the rise can be meaningful.

A purely tragic ending in GOT would have been easy—redemption is what required bold writing.
Same with HC3.

3. HC always uses a “breaking point” before redemption

HC3 hasn’t reached that turning point yet, and that is exactly why a good ending is still on the table.

When the Duke’s lies collapse, the emotional chains trapping the girls collapse with them.
Trauma, manipulation, fear—once those break, guilt and accountability rush in.

That’s how redemption arcs work in every major narrative.

4. A good ending doesn’t erase anything—it confronts it

A Happy Ending doesn’t mean:
  • “All forgiven.”
  • “Everything is fine.”
  • “Let’s pretend nothing happened.”
A real happy ending is:
  • Consequences,
  • acknowledgment,
  • reconciliation,
  • and slow rebuilding.
It’s not a Disney ending—it's a mature one.

5. Leto hasn't had his turn to act yet

Saying there's no way for a good ending because Leto hasn't acted is like saying Jon Snow can’t change anything because he’s being manipulated in Season 5.
The story is structured to give the protagonist their moment—but only after enough pressure builds.

We’re not at the climax yet.

6. A Happy Ending is not only possible—it’s required for thematic closure

Ending HC3 with pure destruction would turn the trilogy into a loop—not a progression.
The only way for the story to close with real emotional impact is to show that:
  • People who fall can stand up again,
  • corruption can be broken,
  • and trauma can be confronted—not just punished.
A hopeful ending is not naïve.
It’s the only ending that prevents HC3 from repeating the same fatalistic beats of HC1 and HC2.

If Game of Thrones—one of the bleakest modern series—can redeem characters like Theon, Jaime, Sandor Clegane, and even partially Daenerys before her fall,
then HC3 definitely has room for meaningful redemption arcs.
when i look at it the way you looked at the story, it might be possible to still be very well satisfied with the happy end.
you know why i never talk about anything other than happy end and revenge end?
beside my personal taste and all, an story like this will be remembered when ending breaks the loop you saw until now, and those endings will be revenge and happy end.
cause ntr endings, don't really change anything as we had ntr and corruption up untill now and there won't be no satisfaction to see these (at least for me personaly).
i believe many are like me, who endure the pain till the end just to see the loop break, getting the chance to act now after all those watching with tied hands.
i believe this story can give you far more satisfaction with a well written happy end and revenge end, and i do hope we all get the reward we waited so long for.

Honestly, here’s how I see all of this stuff about NTR, character decisions, and dark endings:

1. If the characters didn’t make “stupid” decisions, we wouldn’t have a story.
In genres like NTR, psychological drama, or dark fantasy, characters need to make mistakes—
to get manipulated, to act out of guilt or desire, to make irrational choices.
If everyone acted perfectly logical, there simply would be no plot to move forward.

2. N_Taii doesn’t write ideal characters—he writes human ones.
That’s one of the strongest things in his stories.
The characters act based on real emotions:
  • fear
  • guilt
  • dependency
  • trauma
  • longing for affection
  • desire
  • pride
That’s why they’re frustrating, but that frustration is exactly what makes the story work.

3. From the observer’s point of view, it’s very easy to judge.
As readers we always think we’d make better choices:
“I wouldn’t fall for that,”
“I wouldn’t let myself be manipulated,”
“I wouldn’t defend the duke,” etc.
But inside the characters’ emotional and psychological situation, things look very different.
It’s not the same to watch from the outside as it is to live the chaos from within.

4. The revenge theme works because of that sense of helplessness.
The female characters make frustrating decisions, and that’s what makes a revenge ending hit so hard emotionally.
The story builds that powerless feeling so the protagonist’s revenge becomes heavy, bitter, and impactful.

5. The fact that we’re debating all this means the characters feel “alive.”
The proof that the writing is good is that we’re here arguing, analyzing, getting annoyed, and treating them like real people.
That doesn’t happen with empty characters; it happens with characters who provoke real emotions.

And that’s why, even if it’s easy to judge from the outside, if the characters didn’t act this human, we’d have nothing to debate.
Exactly lol, you could say the same stuff with Harem "Vanilla" where everyone besides the MC will eventually become stupid from a single dick. It's just written from a different perspective.

All this stuff about "character writing" is pure bs written by AI. I mean you could look at the previous pages and someone definitely did that lmao. It all boils down to not liking your "stuff" get stolen or in other words you like harem where you get all of them. Totally understandable, but asking for other stuff to get changed specifically to cater to audience that is not the main point of the game is forcing it. It's literally asking for character that's already fallen for a single dick to fall for another dick. The character is just a fap object at that point with no thought whatsoever.

I appreciate everyone jumping in here [ Oriandu, Uaredead, Flojerazul20, Jeferss12, Stormen, zanset44, etc... ] because this thread has always been at its best when we hash things out like this. I've been thinking hard about the pushback, and yeah, some of it hits home. But let me clarify: my stance hasn't flipped overnight. I've been skeptical about a clean happy ending since day one, and I'm still not convinced it's fully possible without major twists. The only reason I've defended the possibility is because of what N_taii laid out in our private exchanges (2023-2025), where he reassured me he'd learned from HC2's flaws and was building toward something more balanced. If that doesn't pan out, I'll be right there with you calling it out.

1. On Oriandu's Core Points: Actions vs. Reasons – I Agree, But Context Matters
You're right that "reasons don't negate the turn" : I've said the exact same thing multiple times, especially when I ripped into HC2's "happy" ending (not the True one) for feeling thrown in without logic. I proposed two intermediate confrontation scenes back then precisely because Celis and Aywin's betrayals felt too raw to brush off, and a lot of you agreed (Komdot, you were one of the first to say it made sense). So no, I'm not giving anyone a free pass. If the girls' falls are pure self-interest without real manipulation/duress, redemption is a cop-out.
  • Rose's "cruelty" (beach house groundskeeper, maids): I get why those look like willing sadism – Update 21 beach freeroam (groundskeeper forced fellatio) and Update 18-20 maids (lesbian "lessons"). If they're framed as enjoyment, valid criticism. But N_taii described them as dissociation/testing limits, with her hating herself ("I don’t want to become this"). She's rationalizing via the amulet/Peacekeepers ("sacrifice for kingdom/Leto"). If the reveal proves she knew it was fake and kept going, or sides with Duke out of "lost faith," I'm with you – irredeemable. But if it's abuser-victim snap (as outlined), it opens accountability.

  • Duke "not lying" about Peacekeepers: He is – fake amulet from the start (N_taii PM: Duke has identical real one in drawer; she "fed" a dummy). Her whole justification crumbles on reveal.

  • Cyanna "worse than Ulrod" (killings, spineless): Toughest divide. Pirate backstory (Update 8-10 flashback) is guilt source (Ulrod "sacrificed" youth saving her child-self – no killing by her). The real issue: Update 17-18 "traitor cleanup" quest – she holds down a suspected guard-spy while Ulrod executes him extrajudiciaire (no trial). She rationalizes ("necessary for security"), but shows disgust (pale, trembling, near-vomit). Under explicit threats ("expose pirate past + target Leto"). Not "cold-blooded pride," but duress cycle exploiting emotional weakness/childhood debt. If she had clear outs and chose anyway selfishly, prison/treason fits – beyond saving.

  • Haylen/Lily: Agree – Haylen's maternal blinders feel nonsensical (supporting Jazon's blackmail unknowingly); stays oblivious post-reveal = fail. Lily's mostly internal ("dick breath kiss" Update 20), confession setup holds Leto-love.

  • No framework for happy ending (like HC1/HC2 deus ex): HC1 ending was credible (from what multiple players detailed – no personal playthrough, but consistent reports). HC2 "happy" was my biggest critique – rushed, no logic. N_taii swore HC3 fixes it: choices track agency, Part 2 ramps Leto proactive (not passive Noah).
2. Divergent Views: What I've Learned from N_taii & the Thread
From PMs: No "lazy dick > morals" – girls drown in rationalizations (duty/guilt/trauma), guilt simmers. Dilemmas like Rose's Love vs Duty, Cyanna's abuse cycle, Haylen's "new family" twist. Happy = brutal confrontations (Leto knows facts, no graphic details), breakdowns, earned forgiveness via time/regret. No lies tainting it. Thread teaches me: Falls feel too deep for most – valid. If scenes land as voluntary/selfish (not duress), irredeemable. I've asked N_taii directly for clarifications (groundskeeper intent, Cyanna outs, amulet impact) – if he's shifted, we deserve to know.

3. What I Want (and Fear)
Want:
  • Raw confrontations – Leto spits facts ("You spread for Duke while I slept next door!").

  • Long separation (1-2 years in-story) – Leto lives with "pure" girl (tribe daughter?).

  • Selective harem/rebuild – Girls return changed, jealous ("He's with someone else"), beg (no dogeza, but desperate). Lily/Cyanna easy; Rose/Haylen hardest.

  • Revenge: Leto drives – Duc/Jazon/Ulrod/Nezar broken, begging death over suffering. No Mórë puppet. Fear: HC2 repeat – rushed "happy" cop-out, douches happy (hate smug bastards winning). NTR where girls dump Leto for "better dick" despite love – illogical, like mangas where MC accepts cuck forever (disgusts me).
4. My Ideal Plausible Redemption Ending
  • Leto learns all → explodes on each girl (knife-sharp words).

  • Walks away → lives 1-2 years with tribe girl (or alone).

  • Girls suffer regret, change (no more sluts).

  • Return scene: They implore, jealous of his new life. Player choice: harem (selective), exclusive, or reject forever.

  • Thematic close: Corruption broken, trauma confronted – not erased. Bottom line: Positions unchanged – doubted full happy from start. Relayed N_taii's fixes. Holding for catharsis, but Lily/Haylen updates decide. If cop-out, I join "hopeless" camp first. Let's see.

No offence, but this chatGPT looking wall of text isn't something I'm going to read. It's too... complicated for a message board.

First i should thank you for your detailed message about how you feel, what you want etc...
i believe all of us are on the same page, we all want a good, legitimate happy end that satisfies us.
our only differences are our hopes on how much is it still possible.
i agree with everything you shared with us, and as i said many times, i am really waiting to see what will happen, i wont play the next «update» as im so fed with the corruption and story, but i gladly read all your opinions about the next update, cause the next update pretty much confirms our hopes or.... disappointments.

what i think is holding back N_taii from writing a genuine, well written happy end, is his uncontrollable passion about corruption and NTR.
he could, and still can shift his focus on building and making the necessary scenes for a believable, good happy end.
but i have very low hopes as i have seen he would likely choose the next step in corruption over a good plot with decent variety and tbh, its really sad to see.
I get that his main passion is corruption, but if you want your game to stand out among all these, no-story nonsense corruption games that get released *daily*, you should sacrifice a moment of joy for a greater outcome.

what im afraid of is that i'll be right at the end, and we get no such thing as a «strong mc» but a happy cuck leto with no other choice.
but well, only time can answer us.

Let's see.

Here is the logic in a nutshell. I think you're reading too deeply into it as it kinda feels like excuses you know. Ok here it is: "Omg what am i becoming?! Duuuke! let's fuck, my pussy needs a workout!" It kinda falls apart under scrutiny. I'm sure it started balanced enough, but that's not where we're at any longer.

Anyway, where is the punishing sluts ending? It's not real girls, be creative. I think it's totally viable for Leto to become a rampaging maniac. I'd love to see it. Killing everyone and either disappearing, getting killed or taking his own life after it's done. That would be epic. Not for all, but that's this genre in a nutshell isn't it

There probably isn't going to be a "punishing sluts" ending. N_Taii has expressed difficulty in actually giving his female characters adequate punishments.

I haven't played the game since Im waiting for the whole thing to be completed. But couldnt a happy end be something like Leto accepts the betrayal and distances himself from Rose, Cyanna and Haylen. Lilly would be kept closer as she didnt do nearly as much. Lilly and Leto get closer, Leto falls in love and marries Lilly. Rose and Cyanna have to watch the wedding in regret. They go on to build successful a successful business, which helps them to build a stable life. The game Azure Orphanage did something similar where cuck moves on and ends with one of the secondary girls. Im not sure if Lilly is beyond redemption tho since i havent played.

Lily is, by far, the least sullied but there's still a chance she'll betray Leto somehow as she has one update left and whatever involvement she may have in the finale could also determine how salvageable her character is. Haylen is also decently salvageable since all of her more vile behaviours have been limited to ruining herself and turning the church she is stationed at into something of a whorehouse.

The problem with how N_Taii ends his games is that certain endings are consistently afterthoughts. HC1 and 2 have true endings which are bog standard 00s era bittersweet RPG endings where character sacrifice their lives for the greater good. I don't know how exactly he's going to approach the endings this time around but last I checked he wasn't doing a "true" ending and was instead focusing on happy, two varations of the NTR ending where the girls either become the village toilets or are only used by their main partners, and a revenge ending. That may have changed when the game had to be chopped in half and he lost the ability to take Haylen and Lily's individual corruption into account for the endings. Dunno. I think I saw mention of a true ending at some point. Regardless, the NTR endings tend to be the better endings. My hope is that the happy ending is for Leto specifically and the women get their just desserts no matter what.

Just to add a bit: the true endings of HC1 and HC2 allow for a potential continuation of the story, especially for Casio's story from the True End of HC1.

Not having a True End for HC3 effectively isolates the game from further cameos and mentions for any new HC game.

It doesnt as n tail could pick and choose where to continue from. Not very uncommon for game sequels to continue from something other than the good or true ending.

Not only is it doable, but i would even go as far as to say that the lack of a True ending would make future cameos better, or i guess not neccessarily better, but definitely more interesting. I was actually talking to someone about Update23, the new Lily Update, and we briefly mentioned Aywin (the mother from HC2), who -Minor SPOILER- makes a very brief appearance halfway through the Update, where she basically just confirms that she's the True ending version of herself.
The tl;dr of what i said was that the issue with Aywin making an appearance in the base game and confirming that she's from the True ending is that any chance of us seeing different versions of the same characters from older games has been reduced to basically zero. I liked the cameo and i REALLY liked Aywin's character model don't get me wrong, but i feel like a better way N_Taii could've done this would've been if he ignored the True ending and instead made it so that each individual ending of HC3 is like a continuation of the same ending from the previous game, meaning that like in the NTR ending in HC3 we would get a corrupted Aywin show up with Zeno's kid or something like that, or like in the Revenge ending Celis shows up as King Noah's concubine.
I know it makes sense for the current game to be a continuation of the True ending of the previous one, but at the end of the day the bottom line is that people are paying/playing this game for the corruption/NTR/sex scenes, and while as i said, i liked this cameo on it's own, i KNOW for a fact that i would've liked to see the corrupted Aywin show up in the NTR ending way more.

I don't want to be rude but can we please stop using ChatGPT to respond and defend this game? Nobody wants to read a bunch of useless logic. If you feel strongly about something please learn to use your own words and thoughts rather than asking a robot for assistance.

Really deteriorating the quality of discussion when you just know somebody is asking ChatGPT on the side.
