I wish the dev would do another Merry H Mess. That game was hot as hell and a short fun story too

There are a couple new rose scenes, and a couple of flashback scenes from her mom.
Mark your spoilers, bud, it's a fresh update for most people.
While I can't say he'll do another Christmas themed one, N_Taii has expressed a desire to do a shorter game after finishing HC3 as a pallet cleanser.
I'm only a few minutes into the new update but I wanted to share a thought before I forget.
It's been so long since the last MSQ that I don't exactly remember what's going on in the story right now. I vaguely remember that Leto is leaving the city to go somewhere. Where that is or the circumstances surrounding this departure, I just don't quite remember and I'm feeling a little bit lost.
One or two lines to quickly jog my memory would've been good after back-to-back side character updates. Just something to consider in the future.

So... It's been a long time since i've played this- I am wondering now.. did dev ever abandoned the mc pov idea? Are newer chapters just omniscient like the choice you had before? Or is it just that the recollection does not include any mc pov scenes?
Well, I didn't understand the question very well but I'll try to answer it hahaha.
The game has two PoV, one partial and one omniscient.
The partial PoV is a mechanic that N_taii added to make it feel a little more NTR since there you don't see some scenes or things that are happening which makes the NTR factor grow a little because as I said, you have no idea what is happening and at the minimum that you do a little exploration around the map you can find the characters doing things.
And the omniscient PoV well, the name says it hahaha, it lets you see everything that's going on.
The detail is that N_taii adapts the scenes depending on the PoV you are playing with, which makes that some scenes can be a little different depending on the PoV.
But I imagine that with the partial PoV you still unlock the scenes in the reminiscence room to be able to see them.

Basically answers it- So scenes the MC wouldn't know about probably just don't appear during the partial pov playthrough(but probably still viewable and unlocked in recollection) I just assume there's probably not many scenes the MC can actually view from that pov despite there being a really nice early one(from the window... it was on a ship I think? Been a while)- I feel like after a certain update the dev probably stopped focusing on ways to make scenes viewable like that because omniscient pov is probably more popular and gets more feedback. I personally like to play from the other pov though- guess i'll just wait for the game to be finished either way.

The Partial POV removes a lot of the cutscenes where the main character isn't present (not ALL of them because some are necessary to make the story coherent, just most of the sex scenes) but does get regular glimpses of things happening in the background like that scene on the ship. They just aren't in the recollection room because those moments happen during "normal" gameplay where you are usually in control of the character and wandering around.
Though I will say that I've found it to be kind of a disappointing trend over the past year or so, where it feels like the quest design has become so heavily cutscene-centric that the Partial POV does get a little screwed over while actually playing through the quests — because there aren't many opportunities to explore during the quests, where things are happening around the player.

The bolded green events are the only ones that happen during active gameplay with the player in control. Most of the time, you either get a very minor hint that something already happened completely off-screen (in an area the player is physically unable to access or interact with), occasional sound effects from another room during a mandatory cutscene that is shared between the Partial and Omniscient POV, or get to see a background animation when the quest is essentially over.
tl;dr — the Partial POV is still there and hasn't been abandoned, but suffers from being contradictory to the game's overall design, so it might not live up to your expectations if that sounded like the main selling point of the game to you.

Honestly I couldn't tell you if the partial PoV is abandoned or not, as far as I remember N_taii in the changelog comments which scenes have variations in the PoV, but in the last update (16) he didn't comment anything about it, I haven't played that version with the partial PoV either so I really don't know if there is any change or not.

But like you, it's a game mode I like, but I think it will be more fun to play with that point of view when the game is complete
I'm a firm believer that the partial POV doesn't go far enough, but I understand why it doesn't. With it active I don't believe we should see anything sexual that Leto isn't present for. We still see the story scenes because the game would be an absolute mess without that but they cut away before the sexual stuff happens.
The twin scene in which Rose and Cyanna lose their virgnities is a good example the good and bad of the partial POV. In the case of Cyanna she basically just runs off after coming onto Leto and prior to that point Ulrod is in the middle of a bit of a nervous breakdown. Leto has no reason to believe that she slept with Ulrod and any awkwardness between them could be written off as her feeling bad about making a move on him, especially in the wake of the peacekeepers firing. However on Rose's side things are harder to get around because the scene leading up to makes their intentions pretty clear, which takes away a lot of the suspense.
Personally I think the main problem with the partial POV is the fact that it is partial. If an HC4 happens I'd like to see an omniscient POV and an MC POV. Omniscient would play out as normal with us seeing everything, but the MC POV would cut out as much of the sexual content as possible. We would see no sex scenes unless we're present for them and free roams would be limited to moaning and groaning behind a door without the exaggerated views through a window to see them, or shaded out silhouettes if it's a public scene like the one with Ulrod and Cyanna down an alleyway at the docks. Currently even the partial POV player knows sex is happening because they see the free roams and some story beats take place in the obvious aftermath of a sex scene. The problem with an MC only POV would be how it would require either no major story events to happen after sex or it would require a more chaste version of certain scenes to be developed alongside the more explicit ones. It'd be a lot of extra work for little to no reward.

amazing update as usual, loved the two scenes for Rose and the 2 flashbacks.
I am a typical gallery enjoyer and from there I follow the story.
Usually I do a full gameplay once it is all done, yes I got some of that -tism in me.

I don't get why people crave Revenge Endings in games with characters like Leto and Noah... They're so fucking naive and oblivious about their surroundings that it makes me not feel any sympathy for them at all.
I mean, how many times did they hear moans or weird noises around them and didn't react? In the case of Leto, in various scenes Rose had to take the initiative for a kiss or even for a fucking hug with Leto... In both HC2 and HC3, the girls clearly shown interest on being more intimate with the MCs, and they still acted like potato sacks...
The only point of Revenge Endings is to see very evil characters, like Zeno, getting what they fucking deserve. *insert Joker meme here*. But not really to see those MCs "getting some pussy". They don't really deserve it, lol.
But that said... Revenge Endings sometimes may still make more sense than Good Endings. Because, like other people already mentioned, it doesn't make much sense that those virgin MCs, that never shown any libido at all during the story, can possibly satisfy the girls after they have being already corrupted and used to way more experienced sex with the villains.
TL;DR: Multiple endings choices are nice, but some may make no sense in the story. In an unavoidable-NTR game, I usually always prefer the most NTR ending possible... Call me a fucking degenerate. =)
