I thought about it as well, but at the end of the day it's N_Taii who decides which extra scene is gonna be in the game, not the results of the poll, that poll i feel like is more of a "let me check what the playerbase wants before i make a decision" kinda thing.
Also, there's a fairly good chance that we're gonna get 2 back to back extra scenes for Rose&Cyanna, since Update18 is gonna have the conclusion of the beach stuff and all, and so i think i'm gonna skip this one and then go for the $20 version for the next Update, not to mention that December is a rough time to be alive when you have a big family...

Everything in Update17 will be about the beach, except for maybe like the ending of the previous quest, cause i remember N_Taii saying that he wanted to add something to Leto returning to the city from his search for Rose's parents, to conclude that quest or whatnot, but other than that, yeah, everything will be related to the beach, at least as far as we know.
The reason why Update18 is going to be a beach Update as well is because while N_Taii was working on Update17, he kept coming up with new stuff to add to the game, and basically it got to a point where he had enough stuff planned that it was enough for another entire Update, apparently it's gonna shorter in both development time and maybe even contentwise, but i believe Update18 is gonna be a beach only Update, same as Update17.

Yeah, as far as we know it's a two parter of mainly just beach content. Unfortunately I'm expecting that to mean that update 17 is going to be a bit of a wash. I'm sure it'll have solid scenes but it's going to feel unfinished since it's not going to resolve anything and it's unlikely to have a proper climax due to it being only the first half of the beach vacation update. I also don't believe that update 18 is going to come any quicker than what has become the established norm of around two months per update. The fact that the beach update has dragged on into two updates makes it pretty clear that N_Taii has issues controlling the bloat of his work. If 17 grew out of control then why should I expect 18 to be a quicker development cycle since it could easily grow bigger than intended? My expectation is that we'll get update 17 at some point over the next three weeks and then update 18 in early March or late February depending on when over the next three weeks 17 drops.

Naaaah, maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part but i do believe that Update18 will be out sometime in the first week(s) of February at the latest, IF N_Taii can release Update17 in December that is, which i also think that he will.

A character that I really dislike now is that bitch Alys, what need did she have to go tell Uldrod about the conversation that Leto and Cyanna had about going to Shanni's tribe, seriously she, the dark elf of the guard, and Eddie, are a bunch of bitches, Or rather, all the bitches of the city guard, instead of working as guards, should work as whores in a brothel xD.

They supposedly felt sorry for the Duke's soldiers when they were at the party that the Duke organized, because they worked while the others enjoyed the party, how did they not feel sorry for their own fellow guards, when the Duke's soldiers fucked them while their fellow guards worked xD

I mean, it makes a certain amount of sense. It's not really made obvious because she's not a main character, but Alys was Ulrod's first victim and she really only get his attention either when Cyanna isn't around or when Cyanna refuses to cooperate with him and she is basically never refusing at this point. Alys is probably jealous and thinks that by revealing Cyanna's actions she'll be in Ulrod's good graces. Alternatively she could be trying to drive a wedge between Cyanna and Leto since there's early indication that, like most of the female cast, Alys has a crush on Leto.

Honestly, I really liked her at first and the camp scene after Ulrod defeats her is still one of my favorite scenes in the game, but I do kind of agree about Alys... I think that's just because it leans a little too hard in the direction of NTR that I don't personally enjoy as much, but plenty of other people love. Like with the late-game turn for Aywin and Celis in Chapter 2, it always jars me out of it when the girls go from being stolen away to becoming too directly involved with the scheming and manipulation of the protagonist, rather than just selfish neglect.

There's a delicate balance for NTR, of how much you want to humiliate the main character and how much you want to degrade the love interest. Making the girls actively and willingly complicit tips the scale in the direction of the former, because it's hard to feel as much sympathy for them when the betrayal is more than just symbolic. I guess it just feels less tragic to me, with how it makes the whole world feel artificially cynical when you reveal that potential for intentional cruelty in a character that you are supposed to like.

In the end, it's just personal preference on which sub-genre of NTR you prefer, and sometimes, you just get unlucky.

What a blessing for those who can enjoy the extra scenes XD, But they are very profound words that I agree with.

I understand your point, although I am somewhat lost with the fact that she does it to get some of Uldro's attention, if she does it just because she wants someone to fuck her there are a lot of the Duke's soldiers who will have no problem with that, especially the one with the blue hair, so I am a little lost in her reasons for having done what she did, and if it is because of creating a hole in the relationship between Leto and Cyanna I am even more lost, she and Cyanna are supposed to be friends and that she has a lot of respect for Cyanna, plus according to the story line she has a crush on Leto, so with those facts I still do not understand the reason why she did it.

I would like the author to open up a little to the narrative of why Alys did that, if there is a specific reason, although it may lead to spoilers, then he won't tell us XD, although maybe there may not have to be a special reason for why she did it, and she simply did it to screw up life and that's it xD

I don't really take issue with Alys as she's not a particularly important character and she could completely cease appearing from her last moment on and there'd be no real loss to the story. She's a device used to further events on occasion and nothing more.

Proof of Life #249: More progress, more ideas.

Hello, guys, girls, and everyone in-between or outside of the spectrum, how are you doing in this fine morning/afternoon/evening? Once again, this PoL post is coming later than usual, as I had a lot of game-related stuff I wanted to get out of the way before I posted it.

So, the game. It's progressing. Progressing at a good pace if I may say so. The thing is, I keep coming up with new stuff again and again. The screenshot you can see above (I actually had to stick two screenshots together so you could see the whole map) is part of a new scene I'm currently writing. It was never supposed to exist, and yet here we are, because my mind keeps bothering me with new ideas. In this scene, Ulrod is telling all the lewd things he's doing with Cyanna to Leto's face as Rose is getting busy with the Duke nearby. Is it a dream sequence or something like that? Nope, but you'll see~

The animations you can see in the screenshot above still need to be reworked, as I want them to have the new, lewder swimsuits on. Btw, did I say the swimsuits you've seen so far were just the "normal" version, and that we've now reached a part of the story where all the female characters (included Lily and Haylen if you've progressed enough with them) have switched to something lewder? Well, now I have! I even added Cyanna for reference, with the lewd version on the right. Also, if you look to the upper left side of the map, you can see Haylen and Jazon getting it on (which will only happen if you've progressed far enough). Of course, the bushes get transparent if you step on some parts of the map.

I'm now 100% sure the beach update will take more than one update. There's just too much to fit in otherwise. But the second part won't take as long, since all the maps are now ready. Right now, I still need to finish this Rose scene (it'll be on the shorter side), add a longer scene with Cyanna afterwards + the extra scene, and I should be good to go. Whether I can release the update this month will depend on how complicated the remaining scenes will be.

So far, we haven't been given any reason to suspect that they are. It's technically possible because we have never seen the actual bodies, but the story hasn't done anything to imply that they might've survived somehow.
