Would be interesting if the images used during scenes matched hair colors on the characters. Right now the random images kind of break immersion a bit.

Yes it would but those images are taken out of other games and not made.
In other words there stolen.

Going through the game (first time) I started wondering about some things:

1. Is there a way to tell who's female and who's futanari mid-game, aside from forcing an action that would reveal it (e.g. sex acts or corrupting enough for them to strip)?

Reason: I want to re-adjust the gender balance amongst students to have more-or-less as many futas as boys and girls, but so far I only see two options: making alot of Futa Makers and giving them to girls, or starting a new game altogether (and unchecking the fetish as per "readme_gameplay" instructions).

2. Some school policies mention parents' disapproval - how can I tell, exactly, how bad I screwed up by enacting one?

Example: Sexy School Uniform policy says "Quite alot of parents will disapprove." At this point, PTA is so corrupted that every single member readily voted in favor of policies like Practical Sex Ed and Bondage Class. In this case, what does "parents will disapprove" mean for me, specifically? Nothing? Random reputation drops? If so - are there any warning indicators (like the mini-event if someone prudish spots you in public in a dress too revealing)?

3. When I enroll a new student (currently doing it via interviews), does the game add another NPC as parent(s?) to the world?

Reason: due to a bug/limitation (by design?), on weekdays main character remains in work outfit when going to town (I don't use the "outfit for all time" setting, only the "situational" ones). As the school is naturally in a more corrupted state than the town (and the outfit doesn't change), my far more revealing work outfit triggers reputation loss in public. As such, I'm concerned that enrolling several new students at a time might add quite a few new NPCs to the more-or-less-corrupted population, increasing odds of triggering the "outfit too revealing" reputation drop events.

On #1 without using drugs you can do it in the "Debug console".

Now on a new game start you can change the xml to reflect what you want but you need to remember that ratio should stay about 50/50 male and female and I don't remember what futa sex is. (Can screw up quests that need = amounts of boys to girls if set way off like 20/70/10 or so and you need futa for some quests but afterwards you can get rid of them with drugs.)

Here is what mind looks like.

<MalePercentage>40</MalePercentage>
<FemalePercentage>50</FemalePercentage>
<FutanariPercentage>10</FutanariPercentage>

Its located here: (your location for the game):\HHS+1.9.5-2050-Release\Schools\NormalSchool\Config

Its called: DefaultGameConfig
I use Notepad to edit it.

On the global map, there is a settings section that allows you to decide how you want to treat futas once you're in game. Before you start a new game, you can adjust the ratios of students and adults in the defaultgameconfig.xml file. It is commented enough to keep you from screwing up too badly.

2. Some school policies mention parents' disapproval - how can I tell, exactly, how bad I screwed up by enacting one?

When you walk around the town if audio is on, you will hear a sound when someone disapproves of your outfit. You can preview thaat sound in the wardrobe. Plus every day at the start of the day you get a global change to lots of traits on the top bar. Those reflect your students but the reputation level reflects the town's opinion of you. I try to lag behind opinion of the town and stay better dressed, but commando and keep from taking the random rep hits.

When you start a new game after modding the defaultgameconfig file, the game generates the entire population of the town from scratch, plus the special characters. There are never any more students or adults created, just more of them assigned to your school as your reputation increases, or by interview as you like it. You could always change clothes in your office before leaving for the day.

I'm kinda sad there's 3 games based on this concept. All the wasted duplicated works.
It really is too bad we don't have something like HHS considering the patreon wave of porn games.
I mean shit, it would be great considering. The only stuff we have is pure text based "management" games.

HHS at its core is pretty much this, but it has just enough interaction to make you feel immersed rather than an overhead god.

Yes, I've located that "global map" setting, but it seems to have been designed to do the exact opposite of what I need - it removes futa interactions and depictions. Blessed be the 30% minimum requirement stated in the XML file, though....whenever I start a new game.

Sadly my game has no sound - neither SFX nor music. All in-game settings are on, files are there, but Windows Volume Control doesn't even show a slider for HHS.

So, assuming I have the patience to play for THAT long, I'm going to end up with more students than parents in town? That is a VERY good thing in the long run :sneaky:

You could always change clothes in your office before leaving for the day.
Aye, nevertheless annoying since "situational outfit" settings fail to fire five days out of seven + before you visit the places most likely to punish you for the wrong setting (Downtown and Shopping Mall). Figuring out the audio problem (and fixing it) should alleviate that, though, unless I misunderstood how the audio part works: what did you mean by "whenever someone disapproves"? Audio only plays along with the dialogue prompt/warning? That would be pointless since the dialogue itself already explicitly states what the "problem" is.

Is anyone else unable to open the wardrobe? I get the first menu, but when I click to select clothing it doesn't open. I get another menu giving me a help option which gives me a nice description of what I should be able to do.

I was getting a lot of whistles which seem to mean approval of what I'm wearing according to the sound test buttons, but when I look at the image by hovering over the lower right of the screen -- I'm naked. Everywhere; in school, at home, on the street... No one seems to mind, but I find it a bit odd.

I have a couple of questions.
1. Can you do anything with the basement in your home ?
2. Can the girls get pregnant ?
I have played for a lot of hours but yet to see the answer to my questions in game.

1 and 2 are tied together.

I will answer them like this.

1. There is 1 girl you can make a sex slave and keep her in your basement. Instead of saving her you take her for your slave. (Very Evil content.)

2. There is only 1 girl at this time you can make pregnant. You need to rescue her after she gets kidnapped and then refuse the money she offers you.
IE Missing Girl quest. If you rescue her this quest will repeat about every 4 months.

Both 1 and 2 are for the same girl but I have never made her a slave and have no idea if the quest will repeat if you make a sex slave out of her.

Thanks !! I have no desire to be evil to someone that was already kidnapped or otherwise. So my basement can just collect dust.

I seem to have encountered a progress breaking bug in the town election quest. After voting for Mrs. Fontaine, I get an error most mornings, in the scene where I guess she is supposed to get inaugurated on TV? I've attached 2 pictures of what happens, after that the game always resets to just before the event, and continues as if nothing happened. At least it hasn't broken my save file I think?

I haven't modified the game much, the only thing I did was change some body values on special NPCs, then reverted the changes once I figured out I wasn't doing it properly.

Sounds like you haven't visited and reviewed/downloaded any of the service packs/bug fix patches? There is one that seems directly related:

Related .xml file is attached. Hope it helps.

Ah, yeah all I found was a couple of patches on this thread. I've seen a lot of people having issues with the official forum, so I didn't really check there. thanks!

Edit : I've tried the patch out, downloaded in the right folder replacing the old file, and my game is later than march 6th, but I keep getting the same messages, and no message about the initial invitation..

Edit 2 : I've read a bit more on the page you linked, and it seems the town council content isn't complete, as per the 1st post. So if the bug fix later mentionned only stops the message from appearing, but doesn't give any new content (since there doesn't seem to be any), I guess it's not that bad.

Yes that is the end of the event for now.
Here is the rest of the patches if you have not patched your game so far.
