Ren'Py - Hero Party Must Fall [v0.5.5 Bugfix 1] [Nitrolith]

Really liked the writing in this game, cecilles first "caught" moment has stuck with me for years and now i've actually advanced to the end of the demo(0.5.3). hard binged the entire thing over like 3 days. my wall of text thoughts:

(about the other reviews) the writing is indeed good, which is why its extra disappointing to see how things end up. im not entirely sure yet if its just my personal preferences not aligning and my disappointment clouding my judgement or if it really does fall off.








maybe its just me and not liking how far the corruption genre goes in general. almost every time in ntr the best part is the inital steps on the slippery slope, and seeing characters go full slut and wiping all previous character traits isn't nice to see nor exciting. I got really invested in the characters here but pretty much everyone besides sera and mars has character development where I like them less by the end. idk if the upcoming content is gonna rationalize everything but the direction towards city lord mars isn't very exciting. the appeal was all about drama and characters and that kinda switches the genre at the expense of the those. pretty much just looking forward to the actual aftermath of the sera ending now. and maybe a vi ending.

really enjoyed my time with it and will probably just try to wipe the way some characters end up from memory. biggest criticism besides the character story is how all over the place the art is. most of it great, and it gets much better as it goes on but boy is it jarring whenever you switch actions in training and have very different characters there. sometimes the designs change too, especially cecilles breast size and bangs in different pics and seras skin colour when she went berserk(looks better but still).

I was actually gonna come here to whine about this game taking 5+ years to complete with a story written by someone who is sick in the head and doesnt know when to put an end but oh boy i was wrong.
This is literally some of the best writing for an adult game. The dialogue is crafted to such a way that is unique leaves you with and awe. Yes its cruel and twisted at times but if u see the bigger picture it is really good crafted.
The artstyle, models and animations are good. Good looking characters with amazing drawn expressions. 10/10
I didnt expect so many minigames. All of them are great and worth exploring.
BGM and lewd voices are always a plus. Music fits with certail tone changes.

Definitely worth trying it out even if you're not into the NTR.

It feels uncanny. The writing is very mediocre, trying to parade as something more. The psychology of the characters is very unintelligent and meme-like. Overall, the plot is sloppy and soulless.


The fact that the game seems to have no identity is also strange, it is like a makeshift doll trying to simply appeal to feedback and to suggestions, mixing everything together without anything behind it.

Even so, I want to be fair, I cant give it one star, because the art improved overtime.

I've never written a review before, but after years of playing games on the F95, this is probably the best written story I've seen. Not too many options to interact with, but the fighting, changing the state of the characters is really great. As for the graphics, it's pretty good too. 9.5/10

The game is really good the art is great the story is interesting the only real problem I have is it feels like it takes ages to progress to the next thing I stopped at the beginning of the third arc. Besides that I really enjoy the game.

This game is incredibly good with lots of content and really good writing. The animation, story progression, characters development are just excellent. Anyone who played NTRlegend or Ntraholic or Handyman Legend or Summer Memories or Self-defense Dojo Secret will love this game.

Overall 10/10, If your a netori lover like me this game a must try.

Tested at version 0.5.3 :

The story and setting is quite refreshing as it is more mature and darker than what I expected, both in terms of story and art style. Obviously it isn't polished for several aspects (mini games) as the dev already mentionned, but the core is pretty solid and you can at least have 1 "general" ending and a few route choices before reaching that ending.

Once some minigames / income (you can use cheat for now by talking to Vi) are finished or polished, I think this game will be a true gem for those seeking a eroge with a pleasant, unexpected good story for its genre.

I avoided this for a long time because corruption and cucking isn't really my thing, but let's be honest with ourselves the game is a masterpiece. The world is interesting, the art is really great (imo) the character designs are awesome, the dialogue is good (although there are spelling mistakes but w/e), etc. The worst thing about it is the minigames imo, they're very easy to 'game' and you can break the curses within one night and afterwards just watch the scenes on your own time. I also wish some characters had repeatable scenes or a gallery to watch them back afterwards.

Also I have no idea what the dungeon is for other than existing for the sake of the plot. I didn't even realize I could visit the dungeon until like 5 hours in, and even then I visited it once, got to floor 10, quit, and never went back.

If you're not really interesting in corruption or bulling you can at least take solace in the fact that everyone kind of sucks - like, you're not breaking up a happy relationship here.

Also Sera is best girl and deserves to be happy.

This game is great, one of the best ntr games i have played, it's biggest issue currently might be how the endings work and how to get some scenes as sometimes u will be confused as to what to do and if u do a certain characters route too frequently the ending will come suddenly. Other than that it's a great game and hope it keeps getting updates

First things first, this VN nails the overarching story and character dynamics. The engagement and payoff of corrupting the heroines is excellent. For a netori game, the plot is quite nuanced - it clearly takes inspiration from the more thoughtful half of Japanese H-games. The art is mostly well-done, too. It's a clear 5 stars. If the game's description seems appealing to you, this is an easy recommendation.

However, it's also far from perfect.

Regarding technical aspects of the writing, there are plenty of errors, sometimes immersion-breaking, sometimes confusing enough to force you to go back and reread a few lines. Characters are not at all explored equally, with a heavy emphasis on the 2 main LIs introduced at the beginning (Cecille & Sera), and even between those 2, Cecille receives much more focus for most of the game so far. There is also a vague sense I have that the writer didn't quite figure out the details on whether to thoroughly degrade the women - making it clearly 100% fantasy fulfillment - or to explore the concept of consensually submitting as a form of empowerment - shifting the theme to more of "real" BDSM. The story definitely leans towards the latter, but there are many holes. For example, the MC frequently loses himself to his supposed "pretend role" of conqueror without the character or the narrative acknowledging it. A few scenes later he then clearly acknowledges he's "just" playing the role and has all this internal moral conflict... There's too much whiplash.

Speaking of the MC, he's a bit of a weak point of the story. Although the plot justifies his actions and how OP he is, with a tragic backstory to boot, it fails to really develop the MC or distinguish him as anything but a Gary Stu. Even as the story tries to subvert the Hero trope, the MC himself is an equally "chosen" individual with many unearned privileges. The weak opening arcs also contribute to this. The main LIs conveniently are "cursed" before the story even begins, and Cecille's solution after however many days and weeks of struggling with the issue is to get dangerously close to Ending the World by engaging in forbidden sexual acts with a man other than the Hero. Basically, some critical steps were skipped here.

As for other aspects besides the writing - the minigames are mostly mediocre. The training sim bits have some nice art, but otherwise all the games are clunky, repetitive, and often buggy. The art is well-done, although the dev clearly has a bit of a bias towards unrealistically huge T&A. Unfortunately it appears they've begun to use AI-generated art at least partially, which is jarring because the style shifts dramatically, but the bar for quality doesn't seem lowered yet. Sound design is lacking but not offensive, some stock BGM and SFX are used at appropriate times, nothing really high quality or original.

Absolutely dense with extremely hot writing. I am a fan of the art style, as well. An excellent excellent choice if you're into reluctance. Sometimes a bit too dense in the writing but those overly wordy portions can be breezed past without missing too much.

This game has some of the best writing on this site, it makes you feel bad for what you do and that is a huge compliment for a porn game man...

Mars on his own is easily one of the most likeable MC's, his little friend Vi is also an interesting fellow and overall each squad member is really intriguing and brings some unique allure.

To summarize this game is probably my favorite game because it is not only an really well written game, but also represents one of the genres that is not really widespread and well made that being netori. My only gripe would be that the art is really damn inconsistent, especially at the final act you play in this version...

Hope this will change so all in all this is an 4,5 stars, can only recommend it if said point is not a dealbreaker.

This game is incredibly close to getting a 5 star rating from me.

What's holding it back:

- art inconsistency later in this version.
- repetitive game-play that takes too long or does nothing
- Story after you is kinda weird

But over all this is an incredible game. I love the whole "I shouldn't be doing this but it feels too good shit," and if you like that, you'll like this game.

TLDR: It's a grind, with choices that don't matter for the story line. A passion project without a clear direction.

There are plenty of reviews praising this game. I'll be the counter argument and highlight some of the flaws.

1. Inconsistent art quality. The first scene with Vi is very well animated. Everything else is not at that level of quality.
2. The choices don't matter, it's VERY liniar and I end up just clicking through the dialog because of it.
3. The dialog is bloated. They use 20 words to say something that can be said with 5 words.
4. The dungeon mini game serves no purpose. You can go in the dungeon and exit to trigger event. This also goes for the training events. You can just enter and exit to go next.
5. There is a lot of content for some characters and then completely none for others. Like Jasmin, the character will beat you up many times. But there is nothing else to it. Which is strange considering how early on Jasmin is introduced to you. Same for Vi. She only get's 1 scene early on and then late game gets another one. But Vi is almost completely devoid of content.

The story is just too good.
Like, I like all the character. No need to talk about the main character, this guy do all the job, what I like more is the hero.
The hero is just a poor child that had his fate taken away from him the moment he was born. Everything people care about him is his Hero title, nothing else. They treat him no as a person, but a tool. His mother is a crazy manipulative bitch that destroy all his normal sense and his should-be wife is just another crazy manipulative bitch that try to mold him into her plaything.
He is corrupted by everyone around him, he talk about things like killing people, raping, breeding like a child talk about toys cause that all he knows. Everyone around him think that its normal for a hero to do that, and then he think its normal to do all of that, no one try to correct his mistake, the first thing our main heroine thinks when meet this young boy can sum up as "Damn, this boy need a therapy, perfect for manipulate!".

TL;DR: Really good story, kinda a must try IMHO.
Note: This game ruined my weekend, I wanted to do other stuff but instead I spent the whole weekend getting to the latest part smh..


This is my first review on this platform... WOW this has some of the best writing I've seen for a porn game to date (and I haven't finished the story yet). It's a slow burn but the further you go the better the story becomes... really insane.

Point of clarification: "best writing I've seen for a porn game" Still read many better stories in books, but still credit where credit is due if the author continues down this path I'm sure the story behind his games will get only more insanely better.

better than pretty much every other thing here. Art is constantly improving and the themes are unique for a western dev. The scenes with Elena in the shack are feature some of the best dialogue and art in the game. It’s gots milfs, priestesses, amazons, and the side characters are good too.

Great for a corruption game but need more polish, sometimes it fills that there isnt much to do. Also is a bit repetitive. The pace is great

First time leaving a review here. This is the best netori game I’ve ever played. 10/10 game. The characters are incredibly attractive, and the scenes are really well-made. The plot is one of the best I’ve come across in any porn game . Looking forward to future updates.

A deceptive and misleading game. From the artwork I expected a quick fap and one in which I would be done with quickly, forgetting this game forever. I was completely wrong. I thought the main protagonist (Mars) would be a one dimensional heartless bastard with nothing on his mind besides sex, I was completely wrong. I thought the main girls and hero (Erin) would be good and pure of heart, I was completely wrong. I thought that this story would be bland, I was completely wrong.

I don't know who wrote this game, but across the dozens of NSFW games I have played throughout my life even from big name studios, this is truly in a league of its own. I literally put my dick down after a certain point because I was so shocked at how high quality the plot was. The plot isn't there for the sex to move forward, the sex is there so that the plot can move forward.

Whoever did the writing for this game, you are talented.
