Ren'Py - Hero Party Must Fall [v0.5.1] [Nitrolith]

Very unfocused game but with potential.

The art and sex scenes are both pretty good.

The music isn´t bad either.

But everything else kinda falls flat.

The story feels very unplanned and isn´t that interesting.

The characters are meh I didn´t really care about them, mars I dislike he is too nice sometimes.

The dialogue gets repetitive and is drawn out.

The gameplay is bad and not thought out, the dungeon and fights are terrible, the map isn´t designed good, jasmin´s scene happens too often and just wastes time, training gets boring and doesm´t feel satisfying, and after you met the goddess the game has a way too long story segment without the sandbox map which just feels weird and if the sandbox was just forgotten.


But as I said the artstyle is good and unique sometimes it looks a bit meh but I don´t mind, just for the art it is worth trying.

TLDR: Kinetic novel with tunnel vision on Netori

I need to inform you, that I'm not the target audience of this game.

I'll start with the bad part, and that is:

The main fetish is Netori. Not bad in itself, but the writer has an unstoppable full-on tunnel vision on this fetish, to the point that every other part of the writing suffers, because IF other parts of writing are developed it will hamper the Netori fetish. That is, if you are not ready to consume hour after hour the same stuff over and over again, I do not recommend touching this "game".

This is a "game". It doesn't have any mechanics, any gameplay or any meaningful choices. It's a kinetic novel.

Main character is not developing. Remember I've said, that other parts of the writing suffer because of the main fetish? The main character is a classical caricature of Netorare antagonist. There are bits of information throughout the game that help to establish him further, but it's never been utilised or explained in detail.

Broken fourth wall and trying to explain the motivation of the gods. This gives me such a headache... 4th wall is self-explanatory, it's here for no purpose and just ruins the immersion. The writer made "creatures which cannot be comprehended by human mind" AND THEN tried to explain their reasoning. See any red flags? It also makes the actions of all humans/demons pointless, and I do not see this writer being competent enough to use this essential plot point. At all.

There is no breathing room. Ever played Pale Carnations? Now imagine that game with only club activities and nothing in-between. If you give me only violence, I'll become desensitized to it. Same principle here.

Dungeon is an important part of the game. It's not implemented. Priorities, I guess, but a lot of writing is focused on how the Hero is becoming weaker and the Protagonist essential to the party. Nothing is shown in gameplay because it doesn't exist.

The good stuff. Don't hope for much, as there is only one.

Character writing of main 3 heroines is solid. I don't like them, but I do remember their names and motivations.

This is the best Ren'Py game i ever played and definetely on my top 5 H-Games.
The writer really knew what he was doing. The games's lore is great and he made me have strong feelings for each character, no one in this game deserves a happy ending, but at the same time i really want one for all of them... Especially for the MC.
The art and OST are also great. I'm not sure if the dev himself made the OST, but even if he got it in the internet somewhere he has very good taste.
I don't have a clue for how long this game has been developed, but i took 23 hours to reach the end of the content, it really is amazing for a Ren'Py game!
Really hope that when the dev finishes this game, he works with another person to make his vision reality in another engine, he can cook a even better game, i'm sure of it! I'm rooting for you, dev!

I'm not finished with this game yet but I have strong feelings about it so far that I wanted to leave here.

I'll begin by saying I was not interested in this game in the slightest, as both the title and preview art led me to believe this is an NTR game, a genre I'm not interested in. In reality, it IS an NTR game, but from the perspective of the dominator, making it much more tolerable for me. The guy you're NTRing in this game deserves it too, so the writing is entirely void of that gross feeling that usually comes from despair-porn NTR stories. I understand that despair-porn is the appeal of NTR for some people, so if you're an avid NTR appreciator, as funny as this is to say, this is probably not the story you're hoping for. This is much more of a self-insert power fantasy.

Getting to my main point, this is A-class character writing, honestly I think it's some of the best I've read in any H game I've played. The plot is fairly simple but its clear that these characters are incredibly well-thought out. Their behaviors and dynamics are intricate and believable which serve to make the story feel both more erotic and more rewarding as a story.

It's a slow burn, but purposefully so. The way the player character takes his time to deconstruct each of his partners is a scarily-believable depiction of emotional manipulation that causes me to worry a little for the author and where his inspiration may have come from. Like a trainwreck his psychological torture of the heroines is difficult to look away from, and its consistently interesting to see the depths he can convince others to sink to while never feeling like his charms are omnipotent or exaggerated for plot convenience.

I often get impatient with wordier H-games but this is an exception, the writing is just too good.

This game is almost Perfect it has it all, Femboys, tomboys, semi-furryes and more. Now its not perfect bcs it has a lot of erros glitches and bugs.
Also its very grindy to advance and the gameplay its fun but sometimes some buttons or scenes are glitched as fuck. Specially that one game when youre trying totouch the blonde girl witouth getting caught by Erin.
It need some update but still it has a lot of potential.

This game has the best story I've experienced in an H-game so far. The characters are deeply developed in a very believable manner, especially during the night dialogues where emotions are subtly but profoundly conveyed with each encounter and development.

Nearly every character, even the more obscure ones, possesses unique quirks and personalities that stay consistent and provide strong perspectives based on their traits.

The only downside is the limited number of scenes. I hope for more scenes, including longer animated sequences especially for the more obscure characters. However, I have no complaints about the art style, which is unique and perfectly captures the right amount of depravity.

I hope the creator continue developing such captivating work in the future, as I can't wait for the next update!

One of the best h-game i ever played.
Everything here is good. The characters, the story, (((especially))) the scenes. It has many side characters and many of them have nice lore that unlock even more characters, gameplay is a bonus (one of the only sandbox that i liked)

It is a bit strange to me that I'm so attracted to this game. I guess it must be the story and writing. Because the graphics are quite low-poly and the "training" element is rather tedious. There is quite a lot of content here and the pacing in terms of corruption is good. The characters are well written.

For anyone considering this game, I don't think you need to put in more than five minutes to know whether it is for you. After seeing the first Sera scene I knew I was going to complete it .

Delightfully fucked up game with great character writing. Love how every character is miserable/broken in their own ways. The art starts kinda rough but quickly grows on you.

Writing is surprisingly top tier in the aspect of character design, this game isn't like your standard corruption game where the girls just simply get sluttier and sluttier, instead it takes the character's unique motivations and weaknesses and makes a corruption story in which they are leveraged.

Cecilia is a character with fantastic flaws, she is the pinnacle of narcissism due to trauma and a tragic upbringing. Many aspects of her selfishness are relatable and the story paints a fantastic picture of hubris.

Must play. Elena deserves all the bullying and all the love. Cecilia's arc is a masterpiece.

One of my favorite games in this site. Corruption is done so well and the characters are really unique and interesting. I genuinely don't know what's up with the bad reviews saying it has too much dialogues because this is a corruption game and it takes time for corruption to build. If you just want to skip to sex, what you are looking for is porn videos.

Pros:

+ Perfect corruption pace
+ Really unique art and gameplay
+ Great amount of content
+ H Scenes are lewd and hot, has much more to offer than mere missionary and doggy

Hero Party Must Fall will go down as the pinnacle of the corruption genre. It's truly a masterpiece in so many ways.

The story is not very original but it masterfully pulls on so many established tropes and sculpts them into something fresh.

The dialogue is amazing in regular and lewd scenes. the characters feel so familiar yet unique.

The art has that style where it can look quite rough. At first I wasn't a fan but it grew on me and it just feels so appropriate for the game. The one thing that I'm still not the biggest fan of is characters looking quite different across scenes and poses. It's like the proportions and dimensions of their bodies are changing.

For anyone wondering if you should play this game the answer is most certainly yes. However, I've docked a star in the review because of the frustrating gameplay.

It's designed as a sandbox game that let's you choose the events you want to pursue. The reality is that there are many bugs, no clear idea on how to advance quests, lot's of clicking around, no way to tell your progress in the different quests, no idea on if you've completed the content for this update, horrible mini games that show fake numbers that don't mean anything, boring mini games that don't bring anything positive.

Honestly, this would play much better as more of a pure VN experience without all the sandbox elements.

One of the best h-games there is. Over 20h of content already. Writing and characters are top tier. Updates are somewhat frequent but provide a lot of content per patch. Art style is great and only improves overtime.

I do not know how to start this review, so I will say as an introduction that I am a person who loves to read, I've been reading several books a month for years. But this game has something, I could not specify exactly what it is, but the conversations with all the secondary characters, are absurd, I get tired, they are far-fetched, I would not know how to explain it, but I have tried to play it 3 times, and I always end up skipping the texts and getting bored after a few hours.

I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

game really likes to hear itself talk. read dialog, read character's thoughts on dialog, read response to dialog, read character's thoughts on response, read narrator's commentary on dialog. repeat 50 times. that is one interaction.

ntr dude tries to be like ntr legend but is cringe takes himself too seriously. the ntr premise is literally a macguffin. i like it when stories are straight to the point but come on. it's not even real ntr just a cockblock.

gameplay is point and click interactions with bad art. i hope the dev doesn't get discouraged by any bad reviews i think they have good ideas but poor structure.

I don't know how to describe this game. It's beautiful in all aspects. The art is amazing, and I'm really impressed by the story and how Irene's cuckold is twisted. I praise the developer for his work, and I hope this game never ends due to its beauty.

For all of the corruption and netori fans out there this might be the game to top them all. Cool concept, an attractive art style that stands out and the character arcs currently in the game are some of the best I've seen in an AVN. This developer really understands writing within their chosen genres and it pays off.

It isn't without it's flaws of course. It's a somewhat buggy game, I was fortunate enough to avoid these but it should be kept in mind. It also has a pretty poor sandbox implementation where you're running around looking for stuff to do but it is very small scale so not bad. The final issue is that it obviously is not finished and isn't fast to update. The content in the game right now is plentiful and well worth it however with a full corruption arc and netori content aplenty.

Must try for fans of the genres and a 5/5 for me.

Gave it a 3/5 because I think it is still worth the time to unlock the gallery and view the scenes. However, the ability to brick saves (whether through bugs or choices) will always be something that kills games. I will keep checking this game out as updates arrive, but if my save gets bricked again, 3/5 will remain.

If you like NTR check it out for sure, it's up there for being top tier for the fetish. If you do not, I would recommend not spending time on the game.
