Hey guys, do you think I should make a low poly 3D adventure game?

I'm just sore from my regular programming job but I still need a hobby that can stretch my creative muscles.

Thought of making a hentai porn parody of a classic game like Megaman Legends/Zelda Spirit Tracks
I can drawww, but I want to try low poly modelling in Blender and pixel art.

Want my character to shoot stuff in an open field, walk around and talk to girls for whatever reasons...
That's it. I've been waiting for this kind of game for years and NOBODY wants to make it so I thought of having a go at it myself.

Or do you think I should start with a visual novel/RPGMaker game for better exposure?

There is a lot more than most people think in making a free roam 3D game, low poly or not. That is also pretty broad, like how low poly are you talking? And pixel art can have many degrees. Also whether it's a parody or not it would have to have some kind of overall plot. Unless you are going to hinge everything on a player super fanning over a game just because it has characters they like from something else in it. There are also others that do it, BoneTown and Wild Life for example.

If it's something that you want to do then I say go for it. Though pick something that you can get behind yourself. If you wouldn't enjoy making a VN or using RPG maker then what would be the point? No one else can decide that for you.

All that really matters in the end is the result
How you got there doesn't matter at all.

However, today I still consider AI generated art to be a “please don’t”.
Because of the result.
