I found this site while looking up something for Breeders of the Nephelym. Very excited because there are games linked in the forums that I haven't tried yet!
I also eventually want to try making my own game, which I've started writing a script for, but still working on what program would be the best for it.

It's still in early stages but ideally it's a modern fantasy 2D game with visual novel elements such as sprites and CG's. Summing it up in one line it's about a group of friends on a road trip and who they meet along the way. Definitely lots of shenanigans planned on the trip though! (And definitely NSFW)

If a visual novel is exactly on the engine ren-py. Sprites - the movement of characters? And the plot is the most important thing. Inspirations!
