I am an older folk, who is really enjoying what this forum provides.
I am now into AVNs or AGs because JAVs could not satisfy me anymore. JAVs are after all movies, you watch what the director wishes you to see. However for AVNs you are the director (semi), but I have yet found any AG or AVN that have real replay value.
The reason why most developers drag out the updates is because once the VN is done, there is no replay value. So the only way is the have half a year updates and each update players have to replay it again. And that prolongs the lifespan of a VN.
Seeing more AI tools being used is quite interesting but I don't think LLMs are the way to go. LLMs can help you draft out a story but as a chat bot in a VN, I don't think our technology is there yet. Why do I say that? Firstly all online LLMs are censored, you have to run local LLMs to really have a " decent" conversation. And to run that LLM local, you will need something like H100 or H200 with lots of VRAM. Maybe 20 years down the road we will all have 100GB VRAM but today these cards are not within our normal consumer means.
Having been exposed to the technical world since Apple II programming in Apple Assembly and progressing further, older people will know what that means. And my electives were AI and Computer Graphics during the times I think most of you are not even born yet. However, what was an advantage became a disadvantage for me as well. My advantage was because I was ahead of the times then, but also disadvantage because the computer hardware couldn't catch up. But now that I am old, the computer hardware caught up.
I love the game Harem hotel, but I think it is limited in content. I would love F95 to launch a F95 Hotel sandbox VN. Firstly for a hotel, every room has his/her own story, it doesn't affect others unless two or three creators decide to collaborate. This is a wild thought from my side, a lot of things could be discussed.
