Really it all boils down to no effort put into story, writing, plot, worldbuilding etc. Nothing is conceivably believable and nothing has any depth at all.
In fantasy writing a reader or viewer has to suspend disbelief, and we're willing to do that, almost everyone is. But only so far as it makes sense within what's being told, when it clashes with itself or is too silly then disbelief comes back and it's just written off as a waste of time.
The MC is terrible because he's a 1 dimensional arsehole. He's obnoxious to everyone and that's the only setting he has, no depth, no story, no background for why he's insistent on being an antisocial idiot, he just is. Antiheroes are great, much more exciting than normal goody two shoes heroes always doing the right thing. This isn't an antihero, it's like an AI with one setting, be rude.
The whole Isekei thing... it's just a cop out, it's the laziest way of telling a story and never results in anything good, because it's lazy.
The world is also just badly thought out. Characters who are completely out of place, an MC completely out of place, none of it fits together and just all clashes weirdly. What's with the cook? Like I previously mentioned, a brothel, in a town where they're lacking in men and really excited that he's shown up. It just wouldn't exist, it literally couldn't. The world and it's coherance has not been thought about at all.
The sandbox is irritating nonsense. Just a massive timewaster with a whole bunch of locations that you can't visit. Remove them then, don't leave them in. You'll spend most of your time, skipping time. Boring and annoying.
Characters are all weirdly placed, but in some places have good potential, just 1 dimensional again. No real depth to any of them. Some are 2 dimentional which still isn't quite enough.
All that aside, the renders are really good, sometimes... They're also really weirdly inconsistent, the MC looks like he also had as much thought put into him as the brothel nonsense. He's unfinished looking, hairless in a lazy way. There's the previously mentioned cook, who just looks wrong, placed where she is. Like a random character from somewhere else that accidentally got added in and no one noticed. A bit like a garden gnome someone added into a movie for a joke, that the director didn't see. Then the female characters who've been focused on, are actually really well rendered. Then the world is mostly half arsed, not quite been bothered with. It just feels confusingly half done but like I say, some are really good.
A shame because the basic idea could be great, if it had a real MC, from the world it's set in, with an actual background story. If it had a bit of thought put into the set up, relevance of certain things even being there etc. Basically if most of it wasn't completely rushed, lazily done nonsense, it has potential to be great.
It get's 2 stars because of Maia, and the potential for a good game, the rest is awful and needs to be totally redone cos it's just not really been thought about. But at least it'd only be redoing things that took about 10 seconds of thought.
