did new folder, got the patch bunch of green errors and weird text and no text boxes.

Downloaded the game from each of the hosts, still same errors

Actually it looks like a locale issue based on the title. Make sure you extract with japanese locale and set your computer to japanese locale.

Japanese games use Japanese characters and without setting the locale or using a program to do it it will fail. So nothing that can be done on my side sadly.
