Probably why they're considered bog standard and tropey, is that they are pretty straight forward. I suppose I don't have the same attrition with these types of games as others do, as long as its accompanied by a good plot and script. I just think romance in incest is too saccharine, although romance itself in that context further leans into the taboo.
