Good:

+ Pretty much everything from HS1 is here

+ Quite a few subtle upgrades from HS1. Better resolutions, better framerates, less crashes, and better alignment/less-clipping than HS1. (The alignment/clipping improvement might be from a mod).

+ ScrewThisNoise Mods make this game so much better. Pregnancy, futa, additional physics objects, visibly rules for underneath items, and thousands of hairs, clothes, and accessories are all available and working.



Meh:

/ Content is almost the same as HS1. Not too many more voice packs, locations, or sex positions.

/ AS with HS1, this game is more like a doll-maker and poser. They can have sex in different maps, but there is no gameplay aspect. No challenge, story, or intrigue.



Bad:

- Cards from HS1 are not compatible

- * Even with all the optimizations, the game can still chug on modern hardware. Forget about trying to play this with a laptop or old desktop. The modded game is now up to 80GB+, which is a bit much. Subtract several points from the score if these issues might affect your experience. *

- A lot of the features require grinding to unlock in the un-modded game

- Seriously, don’t play this game un-modded

- * Subtract a point or two from the score if you expect story, gameplay challenge, or meaningful feature progression. *

Honey Select 2 is THE 3D Japanese Hentai game that Has so many things everyone wanted: Character Creation, Hentai Scenes, Specific fetishes, desires, dating sim?, a package of mods (for the better or worse), and a studio maker to create your own visual novel game.

You start to live in a Love hotel called Honey Select, the receptionist/assistant named Fur helps you understand everything you need to know about this love hotel, you can talk, romance, have sex, enslave, break, or free the selection of girls and character creation girls however you want.

The obvious Highlight here is the character creation, It's the best creating I've ever seen, so many sliders for face, body and hair and make it your ideal guy/girl/futa. Thanks to the Mods the creation is more expansive than ever. I could write a whole 5 page story of this character creation alone, but here is the everything you need to know about character creation: Body slider, Multiple hair options, Head slider, eyes, Shirts, jackets, pants, shoes, socks, Panties/underwear, Bra/Undershirt, Poses, photo profile pic, accessories, tattoos, personality traits, makeup, 265 color slider, and the DX expansion and Mods made it even longer.

The Gameplay is like a dating simulator. You can call a girl and interact an area around Honey select hotel and have sex. You can walk in the hallway and interact with the girls you've assigned in the hotel. You can trigger an event. Like Talking, Stuck girls, Invading their privacy, Invading your privacy, meeting you in your room, invading your room, and so on.

The Hentai Scenes are played like a simulation and you determine how it will be played out. By foreplay, Servicing, Dominant sex, Submissive sex, recording, pain or special ones.

These sex scenes and interacting with the girls in the hallway will determine the feeling and status of how the girl feels about you. Love (Vanilla sex), Hedonist (Femdom), Normal (Just Normal sex), Hate (Rape), Independent (Committed Married couple), and Slave (Mind break).

My Experience from this game:

There are 2 issues in this game (Won't change the rating): The modpacks made by "screwthisnoise" is very plenty but unnecessary. We don't need these many maps, costumes as most of them feels out of place or for other specific mod characters. You need to disable the dozens of mod maps at plugin settings because your female characters can get lost and rarely have a trigger event.

At this point the download for this game is the mod (R7) at 46GB and the base game is 26GB. We don't need this many mod packs. However the modpacks are needed to remove the "Censorship" on the base game, and it gives you options to remove specific mods and other content.

The 2nd issue is that HS2 needs a powerful graphics card. If you have a low performing computer, Good luck playing this game. I have a decent laptop and this game runs at 15-25fps. if you have the most powerful PC to date, then you have no problem. There are obvious clipping issues, and iffy translation dialogue, but that doesn't bother me.

Overall, a Near masterpiece of a 3D hentai game, so much customization, so much content, and you can have so much fun in this game to play around, hentai or non hentai wise. Just find a way to overcome the modpacks and next gen graphics.

Edit: I realized my mistake when I played R7 modpack. The 87gb is an optional modslider for the HS2 studio mode and is used for Ren'py visual novel hentai games like "Once in a lifetime", "Deviant Anomalies", "Etherium", "Harem Hotel" and much more. I apologize if I got it wrong the whole time.

file size has made me delete it twice but it is the best damn girl maker yet made to date. You can even create monstrosities that look like mushrooms. Very fun to mess around in. It is pirated I think but it doesn't contain any viruses I know about.

The mother of all Adult games! Without HS and HS2, more than half of the adult games here wouldn't exist!I don't consider this to be exactly a "game", but a sort of fuck simulator. Also, you can spend hours (days... weeks... months...) just playing "God" and making/perfecting your own creations (and fuck them, of course!, these things need to be properly "tested"! ).
For me, Roy12 creations (from the DOA universe) are the best, used "as is" or tweaked to your desires and fetishes.
All in all, must have!

There is nothing more I can say about this, just check my pages and see for yourself what amazing possibilities an engine and a modding community wouldc can achieve.

The penetrations is a bit... wonky. There doesn't seem to be actual penetration at all it appears to be clipping more than penetrating. That's par for the course for many porn games, but couldn't there at least be a separate animation for the vagina/ass if it's penetrated? At least gape a little.

Personally I play the game at a lower resolution and minimized so my system can handle it, due to this I won't be a good judge of the quality of skin, texture, hair, etc. However, from what I've seen they look pretty decent, but I wish there were more options in regards to body hair like armpit hair or ass hair (though I am aware those are pretty niche interests).

There really isn't a plot to the game. It's more of a sex simulator than an actual game. If you want to create some cute girls to bang then this is the game for you.

Hotel dating simulator. Completed game. Lots of modifications. Great character editor. You can create a dream girl and interact with her. Lots of sex positions and character variations. Be sure to put English if you don't know Japanese. Look at the topics with ready-made characters, maybe you will like the options for girls and men created by other users.

After I got married, I learned if we ever watched some martial art movie or dumb ass rom-com with the dude(or dudes) devoid of shirts throughout, my wife always gets a hold a me later. The films excited emotive energy in her as she watched them. So too does Honey Select 2 provide for us today. It's really something unique to spice up your love life--especially using Oculus.

It's a very, very beautiful game, where you can play a lot of different sex scenes with even more custom girls by downloading their cards. If you want to just enjoy 3D hentai and control it, you really should give it a try. But, there is a cons which I want to point out - game size is really big, and personally I can't allow myself to store this game for just rarely visiting it to "enjoy" 3d scenes. Also, there is VR mode which really interested me, but I couldn't get it to work, it was just loading infinitely. Surely, I won't lower rating because of that, maybe it's just my PC specs or compatibility. If you really can launch this game in VR, it may be the best VR experience because of great graphics.

For being 50GBs in size this game sure has some of the worst penetration clipping issues I've seen. But let's talk about the negatives and positives regardless:

Positives:
-Decent looking girls
-Lots of Mods (Repack version has them)
-Voiced girls
-Lots of locations
-Decent amount of positions
-Graphics are just, "good". For being 50GBs I expect way better.

Negatives:
-Literally horrendous camera system that will drive you nuts. It's bad BEYOND words. I don't understand why developers don't take a strong example from Project Helius for way way better camera control.
-Skin quality is subpar. I mean really subpar. You expect actual high quality textures for a game of this size, but it's not there. Even with the HQ modded skin textures it still looks bad.
-Absolutely terrible penetration clipping, to the point of embarrassment for how large the game is (pictures below). I mean it kind of defeats the purpose of an H-game, meant to enjoy sex scenes. The penetration looks like it's from a 200MB game.
-Even the mods can't help the game. There's a bunch of mods, one of them being "better penetration", but it simply can't save the game, penetration is still awful.
-Game slows the computer too much. For having just "Good" graphics instead of amazing graphics, this game should not be putting THIS much pressure on the system. Me having a 10700K and RTX 3080, my game was still dropping down to low FPS. I mean this doesn't happen to me with even a Skyrim that has 400+ mods installed.
-And lastly, Crashes. For some reason the game crashes every now and then, which basically barely ever happens with other H-games I've played.

Overall, for being 50GBs in size, this game is simply disappointing. From the awful camera control that makes you want to bang your head, to the terrible penetration clipping that comes with an unoptimized slow game, it all gives you a reason to not grow any interest in the game. Instead you opt to save 50GBs on your hard drive.

Usually Illusion games were not popular because of the difficulty in applying penis physics, but indeed, Hooh's penis system and dynamic bone collider system applied now are perfect. As a result of testing, we were able to simulate all existing scenes. It's really great. In addition, the sandbox that can make enough of the ideal girl is almost invincible.

Awesome! The question is if it is a game or a people generator in first place. As a game there is no real plot except choosing girls and rooms to have ecchi stuff there. As a generator it is outstanding because a big variety of personal favorites is served. The numerous possibilities to even change small details like the width of the nostrils, the length of the arm or the size of the breasts does not have a second contender. Only Honey Select 1 is on that level. There is also the possibility to make scenes with generated people. The reason for doing so is widespread: making a personal background for Windows, doing some sort of comic, the render of persons for making Renpy-games, there is much to do if you see the excellent options of the person's customization.

I played Honey Select 1 before and now Honey Select 2 Libido DX R4.0.1 by Betterrepack. I play most with custom character mods by other online modders.
The good parts I like very much are improvements over the first version in terms of graphics and body types. Although the game's character maker allows adjustments to the body proportions and scales yourself, HS2's body system seems to allow adjustments for characters you make yourself or even the mods to look more realistic instead of cartoony bodies. The graphics are much more beautiful now. With DHH shading enhancement turned on, it looks very nice already. Beautiful skin tones, hair, and even wet effects on clothing and skin.
2nd thing I'd like to praise is the new modding system that allows for zipmods system which is soft modifying way instead of Honey Select 1's hard modifying way whereby the the game's files get modified. Softmod menthod doesn't make any changes to the games files. So there'd no ID conflicts and no changes to the abdata.
The gameplay is considered okay for this type of game. It's not extensive and complex with many options. It's just straight forward, meet up with a girl and have sex. There are little surprises like when you wander the halls and enter different places, you'd meet different girls, and the situations can be hilarious. Like in one of the dark chambers or dungeons, one of the girls were stuck in the wall of a hole. You either get to help release her or have sex with her on the spot with her stuck in the wall hole. If her personality is that of a sadistic type, your latter choice actually pleases her and she would say something like "I expected no less from you!" That's what enjoyable about it. It's funny. Some other dialogues although auto translated still has the gist in the humour. Like when a girl is not satisfied with your performance on her, she'd say this post coital : "Hey, garbage beetle. Do you have any females in your species? Or are you just devastatingly unattractive?" to insult you. I find that humorous & fun.
Sometimes, some of the dialogues during sex scenes can be repetitive, but I think there's plenty of variety to go around, because there are many personality types and current moods of the characters. The dialogues changes depending on those, and also with the environment they are in sometimes.
The things that need improving would be like in the Character Maker, there is option to adjust the accessories using XYZ axis. By default, most 3D software use X for left right axis, Y for front back and Z for up down axis. Strangely, the Y and Z axis are switched for some accessories. And for other accessories, X axis could be another axis. So I have to test it and experiment a bit to know what orientation the object is before I adjust it.
The game is great looking with modded characters from other video games like a few famous 3D fighting games and a horror action 3D game franchise, and these mods can be basis for you to create your own characters further. But sometimes due to height difference, and even more so when the girls wear heels, and the default player guy is shorter, the girl will look like she sunk into the ground a bit when they are together.
Another thing is that sometimes a room with 2 girls will end up having the girls overlap each other during the dialogue scenes.
HS2 also added the VIP service, whereby you need to fulfill some achievements in the game before you can unlock for things like night pool party, train, wedding scene etc.
Lastly, the most fun part is always customizing the costumes or outfits of the girls. I love dressing them up in real life fashion wear more than the fantasy costumes. All in all it's quite fun.
I give it 4 stars out of 5.

Not for everyone.

In fact it is a very specific niche of what people look for. It would be amazing if additions to animations were created. And more story driven poses and situations were available.

I consider it wonderful. However limiting in painting fantasies.

Most of the community will confirm, people use the character creator and use what they have created for custom scenes and VN's.

However, core is.. a decently smooth animated sex simulator.

It does lack:
a ton of different poses,
a ton of character responses (aka you are the Main Character),
and lack personality typed / emotional states.

Just be happy it is what it is... A Brothel simulator. with Fornication and Oral Sex.

Overall, if you aren't part of the 90% you won't enjoy it. And to be honest... That's great! It's not like the 10% ever support the developers.

The FF scenes could be expanded to include more toys and poses as well as MFF scenes.

It won't scratch the itch for you wanting to live in an apartment together with 2 girls at the same time and getting both mpreg on the same night but it's a decent outlet.

Much like hard liquor is a substitute for smokeleaf it is wonderful in it's own right. 5/5 -1 to people not helping to make animations.

It's Honey Select. If you're coming just to make a hentai model and then have boring sex with it, then it's great. It's a great game at what it intends to do, but personally, the lack of any interesting characters, plot, and unique situations just kinda makes it boring for me. Honestly, just hentai that I can't watch while jacking off as easily because you have to control the guy which is usually just boring.

That's not a game it is Game Development Kit.
More precise a GDK for creating fuck scenes.
The grinding is replaced here with tweaking -just total waste of time unless you are game developer who need models.
The Out Of Box (OOB) experience is awful - the default settings don't mean anything.
The models are unrealistic
- the skin is shiny like covered in oil
- the legs make no sense
just annoying!
Not to mention that is gobbles all CPU cycles, memory and video resources it could reach. It worst than Visionaire in that regard.
If you are not game dev don't bother!

Best adult game with maximum number of features: character creation, multiple locations, clothe editing, shareable content, and many more. This is the game of the century. Its community is also expanding: which means you will get more updates and mods for this game. I can say that illusion has already surpassed its name: it creates much more than mere illusions. Keep it up guys!

Let me start by saying that I only started playing Illusion games within the last 2 months, and only play the game itself for the game itself and have no current intentions of ever doing anything beyond that. I've tried Honey Select 1,2, Koikatu, Sexy Beach 3, Premium, AA2, AI G3, AI S, and Play Home. Out of those, I've settled on Honey Select 2, Sexy Beach 3, and Koikatu >> AI S was just too much of a pain to want to continue bothering with and I didn't really like the voices / personality choices or performance costs, tho that could change.

The review, includes DX:
The animations are excellent and fluid, and if there are issues with clipping, the Better H-scene Mod fixes them. The sexual stimulation is about as good as it gets in a game. All dialog is voiced with sliders for pitch adjustment, no small feat. Personality choices are varied and all excellent, also no small feat. The AI is very good at adapting to the player and staying within the character personality setups; that too, is no small feat. Customization is top tier, no really, no other games come close. POV is a mess to me. Constantly shaking the * camera, giving no options to stop the shake, so I now adjust the camera where I want, make the MC character disappear, and that solves THAT problem. POV view in this game, as is, is just fundamentally flawed; sorry, but it is. In short, Illusion has spoiled me, and spoiled me to the point where I now avoid all but a very short list of RenPY_VN's.

The story is where the game falls short. Everything is tied to an event. Want to take a bath, event. Want to take a shower, event. Want to use the bathroom, event. Looking for some sort of goal?, talk, sex, repeat. Want to hangout with your created waifu's, well.., you can talk. There is no story and there isn't much to do in this 'game' outside of, the obvious. Is that an issue? Very much so. The stimulation is only or mainly in the sex scenes. Looking past this, this is a great game, but if you're looking for anything past the obvious, you'll be left wanting.

Two things really hurt this game. The already mentioned POV Screen Shake and Chromatic Aberration. They cannot be turned off and I don't count mods, in rating this game. The base game sucks on these 2 notes, and I don't know what the developers were even thinking adding these things in as non-optional. Rating reduced to 3 stars. It really should be 2 stars, however the great things about this game are great enough to sustain a 3-star rating.

For some reason people call this a game. It's not a game, there is no game in it. You pick a girl, a location, browse sex positions and watch. Thats it. It's a movie scene editor. AI Girl at least had some goals and progression. This has nothing. It's basically a "Free H" mode for a better game.

...Do I have to say anything? If you know what you're in for and doing, this game is fucking awesome. Wait, what do you mean I can't be this brief?!

Alright, the website doesn't allow me to write a review this short, so I'll briefly talk about mods. I played this game with mods preinstalled. While creating girls to fuck like you're shaping clay is fun, you may want to install a mod or download some custom characters if you're lazy like me. Dead or Alive custom characters - for example - are nice bases for creating good looking honeys. My only complaint with mods is that the mods were significantly larger than the base game itself, which is while worth it, kind of annoying. That's not to mention character editor sometimes bugs out my mouse.

All in all, this game is absolutely all style and no substance, which is the right way to enjoy it unless you like writing background lore for your honeys. Oh, and like a Just Cause game, you HAVE to play it with mods to bring your experience to a whole new level.

P.S. Get a really good PC (or clear up a lot of storage space) if you want the best graphics in-game!
