VN - Ren'Py - Hooked! [v0.5.4] [BlenderKnight]

The most frustrating part is that this game had clear potential that was completely wasted. The initial premise promised more but ended up bogged down by poorly polished graphics, a shallow protagonist, and a story that falls back on the genre's worst clichés. A missed opportunity in every way.

Not gonna say much about it's unique style cause it's already said enough and you can see it yourself in preview screens. It's a breath of fresh air, tribute to the memory of good ol' days. I like it's vibe, vivid characters and lightness but it's too short and many untold things you should wait in the next episodes or to think out.
Mini-game looks like fifth leg and it's more annoying than interesting. Better spend time on story telling and fill episodes with more events. For the first 5 episodes you can see clear pattern that at the start of episode you watch some action then near the end you get sex scene with new girl in the list.
I believe that the final version of this game can surprise with it's fullness and interesting ending.

I downloaded this only because I saw Blenderknight's name, but good lord it was even better than I thought. If there's one word to describe this VN, it would be; Charming.

Everything about this is charming. Perfectly so. The characters are lovable, the MC is a well-meaning goofball, the dialogue is relatable and humourous, and the sex is so. Fucking. Sensual. This isn't some sloppy-toppy fuckfest, no. Its feels like a romantic retelling of someone's life. You know those rose-tinted memories you have of someone you loved with all your heart? This feels like it. Made me warm and fuzzy inside. I really don't know what to say.

Normally for reviews, I would break down the pros and cons, but I can't with this one. Its just perfect imho. Almost like it was catered to ME specifically. Everything about this is tailored so well, especially around Knight's art-style with his 3D character models. And when I say the sex is sensual, it really is. The angles, the pacing, the detailed yet smooth animation, and the music, all blends together like a masterclass in visual/audio design.

I have not felt love in/for a porn novel in years. This one...yes, I do.

All the girls are sexy, the animation quality is peak, and the writing doesn't make me regret learning to read like most LN games. It's also cool that the choices have actual influence on the progression, I know its more work, but it does add to the re-playability. Really looking forward to how the story progresses.

crazy good. I would love to find a non-porn game like this too. Whoever is discovering this 5 years down the line when there's a bunch more content, you're in for a treat. Really great, unique visual style. As great as this is, I hope the dev branches out of porn games some day

Too good. Some of the best scenes I've seen in a game. Renders are smooth and nice to watch unlike a lot of VNs. Content is fairly vanilla, but that's not really an issue. The characters are also pretty stereotypical, but that's obviously intentional/leaned into. Can't wait to see more.

Fun, Charming game with great characters, great models, great vibes and a goofy likeable protagonist. The overall quality of this project is through the roof, with stellar animations and all done in Blender. The only downside is that is a little short, but it makes up for it big time.
When it will be completed, i will surely be a top 3 of the entire site

I rarely make reviews, but this one deserves one.
It's amazing! Great writing with a good amount of humor mixed in. Each character has their own personality and flaws. The animations are top tear it makes me wonder if the creator has a degree in animation. Their is a good mix of story and spicy scenes too. It doesn't take 2 hours just to get some action, but it still has breaks in between to get to know the characters. 100/10

A 3D ren'py game that doesn't look like shit? Impossible!
Great art style, love the ealry 2000s main menu especially. Characters feel like real people thanks to the great writing. Quite a few really great scenes so far, and the game doesn't make you wait too long to get them. Exited to see this get updated. 5/5.

Suggestion:
give player some statistic to gain from dialogues:
Confidence, Shyness or something and unique options for having them
(my monkey rpg brain feels better when number goes bigger)

Turn sex interactions into more player-control with a meters sandbox minigames instead of this semi-slop/semi-control autoscrollers
(i think game would be much better if goal for video shoot would be to make the girl cum or get simultaneous orgasm or others)

ADD end of content Screen that let player save and thanks for playing and version number + info where to find new version or whatever (its a tasteful way to plug yourself after you showed people the project)

This game is fun. It has flavor for people who grew up in the 90s. The sounds and animations are not invasive and are very erotic. Those BJ scenes are very nice. I highly recommend giving this story a try and don't deprive yourself of this fun adventure.

Simply fantastic! It has been a while since I got so hooked (no pun intended), on a game, relly nice animations, good sound and music selection and so far nice plot, hope to see more soon!

On a side note, I may be biased on the art style, I REALLY like it, and BK has done one heck of a job with this one tbh...

Good character personality. Great history build up and plot, characters complement each other in one way or another. Scenes doesn't feel forced or rushed.

Art style very unique, made in blender so you know it has a lot of effort in the development, the 2000's like art it's what makes this game great and catchy

Insanely hot renders, animations, art-style. Maybe the best I've ever seen but definitely top 10.

A lot of talent and effort has gone into this. Just genuinely fun and sexy and oddly wholesome, which is bizarre to say but when you're as brain ruined as I am from non-stop insanity and perversion being served 24/7 on this site, Hooked is like a breath of fresh air.

Highly recommended, even if you're not super into visual novels.

Animation, art style, writing, setting, characters, all really good. Characters have actual personality and feels like real conversations.

Only critiques would be:
Needs a gallery. I want to know if I'm missing things with the choices I'm making and the different paths. I don't want to have to guess and replay a million times to see everything.
Would like sex sounds/sound effects in the scenes more than just some moaning.
Would like the scenes to be more fleshed out and longer instead of a few short loops.

Overall great game and looking forward to more.

Love how unique this game is. I never expected this artstyle to click with me but it did and I love it. The gameplat is nice and the with the walkthrough it's easy to play. All the girls are amazing as well.

  Visually the game is 5/5. Great art style, clear renders, top-notch animations. If you’re looking for a game that’s mainly about visuals, this one is totally worth playing.

Meh / Cons

• Story
  It’s not bad, but it’s not captivating enough — just a bunch of nerds trying to make porn. The writing is okay, but there are too many cultural references; over time that gets annoying if you don’t have early-2000s nostalgia. The girls are inconsistent: at the beginning they act like total virgins despite supposedly wanting to make porn, but later in the game they behave more or less normally.
• H-scenes
  Too short. The narration and dirty talk aren’t very good; often there are only a few lines per animation. There’s almost no build-up — long stretches of meh story, then suddenly “ok, time for the sexy stuff.”

Amazing art style. High-quality animations. Characters have complex personalities with depth, which is conveyed in scenes with quality writing.

The main downside is scenes are mostly stills (but still good), and there are few scenes (v0.3 had like 4, not sure how many there are now). And there's no built-in gallery.

It's very vanilla (which may be good or bad or neutral), with the characters being fairly inexperienced and awkward at times.

There are a few too many choices that lead to the same results, which is a bit annoying if you're trying to see all the scenes.
