I get why some people have rated highly, but for me, I found it intensely boring.

You start off with a pointless fishing and crafting challenge. Don't know why RPGMs insist on putting in these pointless, boring tasks. If it was decently implemented then it might be fun, but this is pretty awful. Then a whole slew of text that really said very little of any meaning, in a huge amount of text, that is obviously meant to explain the story, but could have been written in 3 well written lines instead of 50.

Starting combat is pretty lame and as an introduction told you very little. One minute you're assailed by loads of text, next, they explain bugger all.

The few sex scenes I saw are pretty rudimentary. Models are good though. Lacking a whole load of sexiness though, very 2-dimensional.

Horingar is an absolute gem for anyone craving a well-balanced blend of challenge, story, and spice. From the first few minutes, you're drawn into a world teeming with mystery, danger, and morally complex characters. The narrative unfolds like a dark fantasy novel, filled with rich lore, branching dialogue, and tough decisions that actually matter. It’s not just about swinging a sword; it’s about shaping your legacy.

Combat is satisfyingly difficult—strategic, not just hack-and-slash—which makes every victory feel earned. Loot is generous and meaningful, rewarding exploration and clever builds. Whether you're crafting gear or tweaking your loadout, progression feels smooth and rewarding.

Now let’s talk about the adult content. The romance and sex scenes are more than just fan service—they're well-written, integrated into the story, and add depth to your relationships with companions. It walks the line between erotic and emotional perfectly.

Visually, the game holds up impressively for an indie title, with atmospheric settings and expressive character models. Voice acting and music seal the immersion, pulling you deeper into its world.

Horingar isn’t just a game—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a story-rich RPG with heart, grit, and heat, this one’s a must-play.

    Chapter 6 review.

    Gameplay 8/10

The only issue I had is the Fishing, its optional after the fisherwoman quest in chapter 2. Crafting recipes are the other thing that I dont really like but I play mainly puzzle routes and I haven't crafted almost anything and I have no problem.

    Art 9/10

I'm a sucker for 2d art. This is really good and is mostly animated. There are few pictures that aren't animated and the characters that are on screen have no real animations as well, they just change a few frames sometimes.

    Story 8/10

The main-story is alright. The side stuff is more interesting. The world lore is really interesting but I don't see much of a connection with the current game yet. Relationships are really well made. Balinda is best wifu.

    Amount of Content 8/10

As of chapter 6 I've unlocked 25+ animated scenes and a few pics. Looking at the gallery there is a lot more to come. (Apparently the gallery will not be completely full for all characters when the full game is released.)

Solid game with solid gameplay. I think the god mod shouldn't be exclusive to patreon and should be a choice like in previous game.

Its good, the style is also unique unlike other RPGM using somewhat 3D models. Along with implementing a proper system of leveling, classes, etc. Tho some things need to be updated or changed. Like gold when just burst sometimes would be out of reach, the fishing mechanics, and points. Some personal side mission for each character once they bonded more for more personal feel and each unlocks new sex scene and other experiment. Also like the narration text between the character. Again very unique and helps the game stand out. Looking forward to more

Looks promising, this game is worth playing just for the artstyle, it gives a nostalgic vibe of an oldschool rpg.

I don't want to give 5 stars - it is too early, the game does not have much content yet.

For now weak points are sex scenes and some quests.

A quest of fishing 3 different type of fish, and swimming on a boat cannot be more confusing. Where do you fish it? Does fish caught depend from location or rng? Where is the boat?

H-Scenes can be abrupt, like with the first part, they are just sudden, you are talking and then you have HCG pop out of nowhere. It is a bit better than first part here, but there is a lot to improve there on the flow itself.

Monsters are confusing as well, some are pickable like bait, some like pixies are actually frigging strong and can wipe out your party. Not everything that moves on the map is dangerous.

I can see why the dev dropped previous game and started this one, in this case it is reasonable. Personal opinion I dont think first part should be remastered instead it would be better to focus on making this into a proper game.

love the concept of what its trying to be. animated sex scenes, choices during sex scenes. it has a solid foundation.

chapter one isnt much content though.. so if chapter 2 isnt released, youll be waiting for that, as you cant repeat scenes through just talking to em again.

however, solid start. but add repeatable scens that isnt dependant on a gallery.
