Horror in Hongdae is a beautifully stylized point and click mystery game, I wont call it a porn game , but an adult kinetic novel as sex is not the emphasis of the game, but the short story where the player is dropping into Korean detective movielike gameplay filled with mysteries, suspicion, cult and a sprinkle of sex and interdimentinal monsters.

Gameplay and Mechanics
Kinetic novel where you just click everything that looks out of place or in place, finding clues and unlocking new locations and scenes and praying for a hidden route. There are 2 minigames that are scene related, short simple and fun. Other than that it's just simple dialogue selection, choices don't really matter.
Sometimes clues are hard to find, especially when you don't know what you are looking for.

Story
You are a wannabe Jake Gyllenhaal doing detective cosplay in Korea, and a simple investigation escalates to you being tangled up in a mess of body swaps, cults, and shady characters. Writing isn't deep and pretty straightforward, but you will have to pay attention on the bold parts of the dialogue to understand the structure of the investigation.


Characters
Great characters, each is uniques and sticks to the role and gracefully adds to the story, although I was hoping for more characters apart from those who are critical to the story, need standalone encounters.
The character designs are top-tier goon bait-big boobs, thick thighs, and just enough personality to make you want to ravage them all.
The Milf Boss is begging for a domination route and Hyung's mother needs more scenes (SEX PLEASE)

Graphics and Sound
Balsamique’s art is always in the spotlight of his games, simple yet incredibly detailed, and the signature boob jiggles. The last part in beta are just placeholder unfinished sketches, but that's ok, given it's a beta release.
minimal but effective sound design, fits perfectly with the scenes and environment, adds to the vibe of the game.

Replay Value
One walkthrough is enough to see most of the stuff, but I hope the content grows with updates.

Personal Opinion
Currently more of a teaser than a satisfying gameplay experience, but is very promising and potentially a great polished game. Personally was hoping for more sex scenes and kinks, looking at dev's track record. There is a scope for incest, domination, rape, piss, and all the deprved cult shit.

Pros:

• Amazing Art that makes you goon on each still of the game.
• Characters are hot as hell
• Unique Korean setting

Cons:

• NO SEX, just a petty handjob
• story is too simple for a mystery game it needs more twists, more depravity
• NO "Horror" in Hongdae

Potential Additions:

• Incest, piss, vomit, cult orgies-go full Balsamique, no holding back
• actual horror?
• Standalone encounters and depraved side stories
• Expanded storylines and more characters
• More interactive puzzles

absolute grind fest.
Barely any explicit scenes.
The art is nice but there's no point in that when half your game is just sketches.
2D games take a long time to make, understandably so but this has barely made any significant progress over the last year.

Story - Horror in Hongdae has a set story in place to tell of an interesting mystery. (4.5/5)

Originality - MC is sent on a mission in a foreign country to retrieve goods for his boss.

Renders - 2D. Extremely good artwork all around. Due to the game not being finished. Some of the renders aren't finished. (No Gallary - .5) (3.5/5)

Sound - IGM that flows nicely with the stage of the game. (5/5)

Playability - Mostly straightforward. Come scenes require you to click and find new information and items. The green heart top right of the screen still puzzles me as to its purpose. (4/5)

Performance - Runs smoothly. No Issues. (5/5)

Bugs - Language setting resets to default upon reset. Some parts of the game aren't properly translated. (3.5/5)

Animations - Great as always. (5/5)

Voice Acting - None. (5/5)

Grammar - Some parts of the game aren't properly translated. (4/5)

Amount of content - The game isn't finished as of yet. I'm not sure where this game currently stands but, if the current roots are finished, and the developer leaves it at that, then I would say this is a perfect small game.
Small games like these, leave chances for sequels to be made. (4/5)

I liked the tags and the models - I was expecting lots of fun. Yet...despite of the nice artwork there is no porn action. This game is a grind fest without enough content to justify playing it.
The tags are misleading - there isn't any anal. Maybe future version will prove me wrong - yet I am commenting on the current state of the game.
Very disappointing!

Hot art style! Great professional work. I love the Korean setting and the story around it.

Please continue and give us more of this shit.

Its another Balsamique game. So you get a fun little story and some great art and animation to go with it. I think its a single guy so the work is slow and the game is new so content is still building and you need to give it time but if its anything like behind the dune then I have full confidence. So far the story, or at least whats available, is interesting and makes me look forward to more.

David Balsamique doesn't miss. Signature art. That said, not a lot of content to start, but i'm sure it will get there with time. Shocked he started something new with Vega Hunters still unfinished though.
