Others - House of Desires [v0.1.1 Alpha] [Dream Real Games]

Its a solid game but as soon as you get more than 5 girls its really difficult to manage, You don't have time to actually watch any of the videos you are constantly micro managing. It stops being a porn game as you don't have time to actually watch any of the porn. A fundamental failure for a porn game.

Its also like a roller coaster there's no way to slow it down. You can't decide to just have chill day and watch some girls, every night just gets more and more hectic and the penalties for failing mean i was actually earning less money the further I got.

Not to mention there are some basic fails, like not being able to exit out of the menu, the game randomly turning to French and not being able to switch it back to english, the game fundamentally not working if you change the resolution. It feels quite polished but at the same time feel like its lacking lot of teting.

PROS:

• Well programmed management system that feels easy to use and familiar yet not stale.
• v0.1 has a lot of content already both in terms of media and 'bones' of the system ready to expand upon in future.
• v0.1 is a release further along than many of its kind, favouring a complete setup of a game, with expansion potential rather than a proof of concept to be made later.
• I've seen some complaints about sourcing gifs from outside but having a small download size overall is a nice plus for a game with so much media content.

CONS:

• A few bugs others have experienced. Not game-breaking mostly.
• Once you reach endgame, it feels bloated. Bad for focusing in on the last few models you recruit and especially bad for future additions. Perhaps a better leveling curve or way to increase ability to focus on new girls. Balancing needed.
• Dev definitely has a "type". It may match my preferred type as well but some more diversity would help. This comes through mechanically with the "titfuck" requests only having a few models constantly needing to satisfy those customers.
• Affinity system not yet used and some upgrades don't feel very meaningful at the moment but also don't seem to have a place that they will fit in. May be a challenge to implement meaningfully later.

Overall this is definitely worth giving a try and is a 5/5 as a v0.1 release. Bugs and balancing issues are getting some grace on the rating since it's such an early release. Worth playing even as a v0.1 and maybe going for some completionism if that's your thing. Looking forward to what comes of this!
