House of Screams is a complete game, you can go through it from start to finish in an hour or so. It has some challenging monster fights, but not Dark Souls level of challenge, if you know what I mean.

It's just a complete Halloween fun jRPG game. It never hurts to try and develop something new for a change. House of Maids visual novel is a separate big thing on a different engine.

It's not some "sample game from rpg maker", dude.

To be perfectly clear: there're two original maps, monsters with modified stats and skills, advanced events for loot, unlockable content, original characters with unique skills and proper stats to fit monsters and their levels, original art and dialogues created specifically for the game, original menu page and end page, original splash comic screens, etc.. It took two weeks to prepare and put it all together and make work as intended.

And that's what under the hood of this one-hour long game, my man. The free public game, to be exact.

I am not sure if this feature is intended to help players or it is a bug but I found a crate which provide unlimited fire scrolls. The scrolls are quite useful to grind your level.

Congratulations! You've found one of two secret spots with unlimited stuff. But you've already missed another one with unlimited potions, wonder if you can find it.
Consider these secret chests as minor cheating. But using them is not essential, the game is balanced in such a way, that you can go through it without any kind of cheating.

There is also a hidden chest and monsters during the beginning of the game. They are hidden at the back of the house. They are slightly useful to level up to lvl 2 and you also get a slightly better weapon.

Ok, maybe i just played too much of japanese games of that kind
Its free i get it, but you already making a big game, why do "this"?
It has no plot, and for fap-game its lack content or sense - you just grind mobs... over and over so its hardly entertaining for those who waits big game. (haven't seen it tho... coz version 0.0.x is red flag for me)

Because I like people playing my games, supporting my creations, and I entertain them with something new from time to time. Besides, it was fun to study another game engine, I've never worked on RPG games before. It's an interesting genre.

Not really hard fight, but well, we need to be gratefull for this game, really, "i don't like rpgmaker because it's a walk simulator, i don't love renpy because there is no action, i don't love..." on f95 i see a lot of unsatisfied player, but i rarely see someone who say "Well thanks for your game that was funny." I said i loved the gameplay because the story is... No story at all and i thinks that's what you wanted, but at least make some story bullshit :'(.
