This is for the story in my game. I want to know if the term "jilling" is widely known.

I want the female version of "wank". Like a guy would say "I'm going for a wank", "I'm doing a wank" etc. What's the female equivalent in English? I never talk about this sort of thing with friends!

To be specific, I don't want the word "fingering" which is finger insertion, I'm talking about the rubbing of the clit.

Its an odd one, I have never heard of. I'm Australian, over here we have station hands (ranch hands) that are called jackaroos, and wanking is known as jacking off, there is no connection between the two as far as I'm aware. But the female version of a jackaroo is a jillaroo, yet we just call female masturbation fingering herself something like that.

Jilling is what I use and it's a pretty common term in the UK.
Great, thanks! Also thanks I'm Not Thea Lundgren!

What about the usage of it? Would you use it as a verb or a noun? Like when I could say "I'm having a wank" could you say "I'm having a jill"?

Thanks for the comment mickydoo it makes me a little concerned because I was hoping it was an international term, most of my audience comes from the US.

I've read the term at various points over the years, usually in written erotica, but I wouldn't say that its super common. However, I think that most people would understand what it means.

lmao i thought jilling was like Jill from BADik where its a posh innocent chick who deep down loves a hard cock, so the innocent side is jilling someone into thinking they may not be a horny dog

I don't have any RL sources but in erotica I've also seen "rubbing one out" used for both genders (strictly non-penetrative for women), "petting the pussy/kitty" (childish/playful), "shlicking" (pretty vulgar, usually focused more on the labia) and as you already mentioned "rubbing/flicking/fingering the clit". But more than any of those, especially with how rare discussions of masturbation techniques are even in porn settings, you tend to get a whole heap of vague euphemisms instead. "Relaxing", "blowing off steam", "(private/intimate) massage", "me time" or outright lies (okay "studying biology" might technically be correct...)

Regarding your latest question the whole premise sounds weird. I disapprove of the standard but we rarely see anyone remotely resembling an openly sex-positive woman who is not a complete slut. Mind you "I'm going for a wank" is not a common phrase to hear outside of internal porn monologues or comedy skits either.
